New player here. Just bouht L2 tonight and started a Human Fighter named Goewyn. I really like the game so far although there is so much I'm still learning how to do. If any of you are able to help me get started, let me know. I could use all the help I can get. Looking forward to seeing you guys in game.
Hey, Glad to have ya! Get to level 10 or so on wolves, Werewolves, and orcs. Most people will tell you to go to gludin at that point...don't do it, the exp on windmill hill is not worth the shots and pots. Stay on Talking Island, go to the back of it and grind on Crashers and Stone Golems until you you hit level 20...you can go from 10-20 in less than a day on them. Don't mess with the spiders unless youre on a quest, theyre not worth the trouble. Once you hit 20 go to gludin to do your 1st class change. :) Have fun and good luck!
Hey! I can maybe help you to lvl as i will make tonight new char and mage. So we can party and lvl, you will kill mobies and i will try to heal you and so. But it all depens from where are you?! As i am from estonia and playing europen time. :)
I played for about 4 hours last night. Made it to level 10 and I'm still on Talking island. So far I'm loving the game. I didn't think I would stay on talking island so long but i'll stick around a little longer. I'm killing the stone golems right now. Good exp and adena drops. Why do you not like the spiders? I can kill them pretty easy at level 10.
Also, I have a question about armor. What is the best armor I can wear as a figher? I want to wear a heavy plate type of armor but the best I can find is the bone armor. Do I need to wait until 20 to do my class change before I can wear heavy armor like that? Thanks for the info guys.
Okay. I'm level 14 now and getting a little bored. I've had the same sword and armor since level 3. Where can i upgrade my armor? what is the best type of armor I can use as a human fighter for my level right now? Anything to make getting to level 20 faster would be nice. I just learned how to use soulshards. lol had 500 in my inventory and never knew what they were until just now. Would I be better off with a 1h sword and shield or a 2h sword to kill faster? Right now I'm killing golems on Talkign Island.
Thorn, thank you for the sword and armor. Much better than what I was using before. I'm level 17 right now and still grinding away on Talking Island. Level 20 is my current goal and then I will do the warrior quest. This grinding is getting slow. Hope it picks up quick. See you guys in game.
I'm level 18 now. Should get 20 today I hope. I'm excited about doing the warrior quest. I moved off Talking Island. Got bored with the golems and spiders. I'm hunting now at Windmill Hill outside Gludin. Here is a screenshot of me and OniSoren.
Finally hit level 20. Did the warrior quest. It was really easy. Only took about 30 minutes. Thanks to my friend LorienPrime for my new D grade gear and dual swords. :) Here is a shot of me hunting near the Academy.
I do amazing damage with these swords. I love dual wielding. Now that I'm 20, I want to find some groups and do some dungeon crawls. Where do I look for that?
Dion is one of the best places to find groups. Sign up for the Seven Signs competition Monday at the Priest of Dawn in town, sign up for Avarice. This will allow you to enter the Catacombs and Necropolis(es?). You can get good exp there. Also shout for raids, they are a bit more difficult now, but if you have a party (or parties) that know what they are doing then it should be a good way to get exp.
