Whats going on with this lag on TEON?

Since 12.00 am GMT+2 most ppl have alot of lag :( (Lags of 10secs and more).Please inform us whats going on :confused:

Alot of ppl are getting angry cause its almost unplayable :(

There is soooo much lag!

Not a server issue? It has to be.. my pc has been on L2, afk, since last night when I had no lag, now when I come home I got disconnected and I have serious lag.

I've already checked ISP, there's no lag there. Neither do I have lag on any other server than Teon and Franz.

You do know that there is alot of stuff between your computer and the NC servers that they have no control over....

The internet can be a cloudy place some times, let the clouds clear.

Well teon is... bad, very bad at the minute.
I've died twice allready due to the fact i stopped recieving packages... I just stood there, got disconnected, logged back in laying dead on the floor... not cool.

Now I just logged on Sieghardt and the game is running smooth as usual there.. Right so I went back to Teon, and get instantly disconnected. Just trying again now and Im being told my account is already in use..

YAY.. This might not be on NC softs end.. but it definately aint our end as we can play the yank servers just fine... Ill have the audacity to say IT IS THE SERVER :)

it can be somewhere in the route from the sever to your computer. that explains why you lag at teon and not on sieghardt. becouse teon is located in Germany and Sieghardt in the USA. That explains aswell some ppl lag and some don't. I realy live close to the server location and even i have very bad laggs. It looks like the provider of the server cant handle all the data........

i played all day on hindemith becouse off the lags on Teon and no problem there.

Well if so many people have lag it must be problem on server side. I have already lag like 5 -10 15 sec so i can't play with it and i waiting to fix that problem :mad:

Strange things happen. I have two pc's sharing the same connection (optical cable up to 100 Mbps) at home, so I'm using one for my main and other for my SE. I have tried several times to play but have gave up. What I have noticed... The image for my SE stops and I cannot hear any sound from that L2 but if I press Heal, buff, walk I can see him walking on other pc. And after some delay I either see my SE doing this or either got him disconnected...

Have tried to party also. It's crazy - i do not receive large chunks of data for 5-20 seconds but I can send until lag is gone or I got disconnect...

Seems like its not just Euro servers as I initially thought it was. Sieghardt hindemith etc is experiencing random lag issues

Yep its ncsofts provider/router issue. Too bad looks like they remove posts from this thread too, even if there is just facts in those posts. :/

Oh No!Europe is LOST! :confused: I'm lagging the whole day!
Me and everybody else!My player stops moving for 5 seconds or even more.
My normal ping is 70-90.now i have 3300!Nobody can play like this.Please i have a dicease called L2 Addiction!Try to cure the server asap. :p

Good news is it seems better for me now.

Its not only Teon and Franz that lags, I play on Hindemith too, and i have same lags there. Not sure, but most ppl that lag are located in europe i think.
I remember these lags after a new launch of another chronicle too. It was fine some days, but then ppl got dc everywhere and getting crazy lags, mostly from Europe.
Im pretty sure its not the ISP or the players computer, its something between NCSOFT and us between.
I dont think NCSOFT will solve this problem by just saying its the clients, the players know its not. But prolly its not the Servers too. Anyway, whateva it is, NCSOFT has to find out whats the problem, thats why we pay for a game monthly i guess^^

None of my clan have had issues 'till yesterday, and they're from various locations in Europe and US and 90% of them couldnt play last night due to excessive lag...

Too bad lag comes back now (was better before 17:00 GMT+1) ... most people of our clan on Teon already lag again... its nearly unplayable... our people are from Germany and Austria most. Tracert is fine without problems.

I believe it's IPPs hardware that can not handle so many connections and drops packets.
Was slightly better in the afternoon, but now lags are back :(

Second day with no lvl up going crazy :S

it is imposible to play with so big lags :/

I successfully crafted my complete A grade set, even got SA on the weapon, ready for lvl 61, 50% away from my goal, now it's weekend and I'm ready to burn away grinding, and I CAN'T because of lag. This ****** me off really. I bet monday morning it'll be fixed, when I'm at school again for full week........ :(

what ncsoft do is open 1 server and you can ever play there cos of lag and destoring onother server changing location to germany all this have no sense

Dod i love ur idea :) Stupid server was great at its old location...didnt change a **** thing when they moved it to Germany for me concerning ping!!!same before same now!!!

Ping went from 120 to 40 for me, so its made a huge difference when im playing.

This isnt about Servers or server location, because this has only happened in the last few days. I never had lag on Teon till Wednesday.

I finally wonder too... our whole clan experinces lag (Yesterday very bad!)... sometimes more sometimes less... but it was always fine before wednesday? Whats going on here?

To me, there is'ent much lag left now..... Everything works fine... actually there is a little SS-lag, now and then, but thats about it.

Well, i played today, the ping was just 52, but the lag was awful !!!
My SS only worked once every 3 times, and i almost got killed cos i couldnt use a Healing Pot (although i was hitting my hotkey over and over and over and over again, poor keyboard :p)

This has been happening since yesterday evening, I've yet to check how it is going today.

had some bad lag in the early afternoon, then the server crashed and its been fine since

Yes Retail has a lot of lag these days, but its still 100 times better then the "fantasy servers" that I'v tried.

Ofcause "fantasy servers" whit a population of 100-200 players would lag less, but here we have like... 6000-7000 players on each server.

Sadly, i'm just starting to get this annoying "2-3-sec-delay- lag", you know where every action takes approx. 2-3 sec. to be performed. So click kill mob.... wait 2-3 sec. and the attack starts.
I have had this kind a lag before, last time it was more then 2-3 weeks before it normalized.
Combined with the above lag, I also have "10-15-sec-lag-spikes" every 30-40 seconds.
So for now, all I do with my 3 accounts, is to set up afk shops.

Been having those lag spikes as well since last tuesday maintenance. Today they seem to have gone a bit worse.

For now I'm sticking to my melee alts, as I can't play my SH at all. Would get killed everywhere.

Wonder were you all get your problem from.. i hardly lag in giran; weird.

Btw; first when they moved the server to Germany i had to do a DNS flush to make the ping drop to 32 as it is current; from 230 something.

I'm on Hindemith and I started getting the two-second lag on everything yesterday, on both of my computers. They did something Tuesday????

I am on Hindemith, too - and I also have immense lag for the last few days. Since Hindemith, Teon, Franz are all hosted at the same location, I think we all have the same problems. I get 2-3s lag spike every half minute or so, and "sluggish" response to clicks in between the lag spikes. For some reason the lag is bad in the afternoon and gets better the later the evening is - at around midnight, I can play like it SHOULD be all the time, but that of course is too late for weekdays...

Something weird happened last week - the lag was immense, and suddenly all my clannies from Sweden (I am from Germany) got disconnected, everybody at the same moment. And suddenly the lag (for me) was gone. Poof. No more lag for the rest of that day. As if a "bad" router / other network component somewhere got restarted, which momentarily caused some of my clannies to lose connection to the server, but at the same time it also fixed the lag/packet loss problems from one second to the next.

yeah, when everyone on the server happens to lag at the exact same point it means they all have [censored] ISPs according to GMs, nothing to do with the server at all....

NCSOFT ARE YOU THINKING OF DOING SOMETHING WITH REGARD TO THIS PROBLEM OR I HAVE TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNTS?

why I am paying every month and only I can play in the nights? I pay to play always, in good conditions.

I haven't had any notible lag on Teon in a long time...

I cant say something about few day before, because im really new, but the last 2 days i didnt have 1 lag in 5 hours.

the server is not as stable since they moved it to germany, it seemed to have a settling in period for about 1-2 months where the mob server, update server and npc server would crash on a regular basis, the server would lag where you wouldn't be able to do anything but mobs kept wacking on you and your hp still went down, stuff like that but it's been getting better recently.

I got lag again! But only between the hours of 6pm and 10pm GMT :mad:
