I must say that the distance change for the ol debuffs is awful. I have to stand right next to the mops for anything to land anymore. I don't understand what they were thinking when they did this as our distance was not to great anyways and this was our one power. I would hate to even think about seiges now. I guess we are just suppose to do CP heals and Hearts now.
Actually, I don't mind if PvP is different, as long as the sleep cloud and other AoE debuffs all play by the same rules. But, with it is PvE, then I see no reason I should have to stand right beside a mop for it to take effect. And, if I do hit a mop, the whole idea was it would bounce off of other mops in the area close to you. Now, I am within pole distance of a mop behind me and dagger distance to the mop in front and only the mop in front is affected. This seems to be the case for the root too.
I just don't think they meant this to be stand in the same square as the mop for a mass AoE.
I would like to hear about sleep cloud users to see if their skill was nerfed as bad.
15sec cast time base (333 cast speed) means even a fully buffed spellsinger will be standing around for 4-5 seconds before the dang thing lands. Most of the mobs are already dead before you land your cloud. Worse, in the time and mana I wasted casting sleepcloud, I could have killed 2 of said mobs.
In PvP, I don't think I have to illustrate why this is rediculous except to ask you how long it takes an archer to kill a mage.
(Answer = 1 shot 50% of the time... 2 shots the other 50%)
Basically, your overlord wearing melee gear will have cast their seals many times over before the buffed spellsinger lands even ONE sleep cloud.
As it stands, sleepcloud is a deathwish spell (resist rate) unless the OL or Paladin have already rooted them all... in which case, you didn't need sleepcloud. Spellsingers don't have heavy armor or Soul Guard so the multiple resisted mobs don't tear them a new one.
Sleepcloud has gone from an OMG! spell to a "removed from main hotbar" spell...
Even worse, its now on my "bar of uselessly stupid tricks" along with all the other pointlessly overnerfed spells like Aura flare and Sleep.
Grats on your stealth buff... I know it doesn't seem that way, but you were buffed in comparison to Spellsingers and Sorcerors.
Yes, I realize you took it hard too... but no class in the history of L2 has ever been nerfed as hard as the Sorc or Spellsinger in C5.
there is no reason your seals shouldnt have the same range as sleep cloud. in C4 if an OL in a party tried using these skills they ended up aggroing all the mobs to them and dying if they werent in heavy armor with decent jewelry. having a point-blank range spell that costs more mp because its made to effect multiple mobs really is not very effective for a mystic.
