Has anyone gotten a helmet recipe from drop or spoil yet? A certain other website has gotten a lot of info about the A grade on armor recipe drops, but no info on Helmet recipes yet.
Neither does ANY a grade armor spoil in NA. Final.
Recipe not the armor itself. AAnd your right, I haven't seen a single spoil listing for the A grade armor recs yet, all drops so far. I call BS on that, should be some spoils in there for BH's if you ask me.
There is non trust my words, I got hte list of the mobs who spoils it in Korea, I've tried 4 of them myself, I got all the 3 spoils they got, and non of them where A grade recipes, Check the 17+ page long thread about dwarves in the general page,
Ummm lmao, if they do spoil A grade helm recipes it would be at a very low rate. If they do or not is to be seen. I need more evidence than your personal opinion to go either way on it.

Every mob ingame got 3 spoil, they don't have more.

You can easely check the patch notes for the game, and you can see SPOIL IS NOT ADDED. Not only that, you can verify the list abow and see that drops is 100% correct if you know the source where to check them.
Have fun.
PS give it a try go ahead nad spoil some of the mobs in the list who spoil A grade recipes in korea, you will find out hte answer on your own, I ensure you that.
Isn't there something peculiar about these mobs? Do you not have to raise their level by feeding them some kind of spice or summat?
I thought you had to raise it to it's highest level and then you had a chance of spoiling the helmet recipes. Oh well, I may be completely wrong but it certainly would be a rare spoil if that were the case (having to raise the mobs level to even have a chance of spoiling).
That said, a certain drops website doesn't have them listed and I have always found that site to be accurate so...........
I am simply astounded by the fact that we don't get the whole of a patch - the last time that happened was gameguard, that was in prelude.
Both of my replies to Ple were made before she clarified that she had confirmed on both types of the mobs she was spoiling (there are only two kinds as far as is known, I believe).
It's not just that we didn't get the entire patch of A grade recipes. They specifically left out spoils and the most expensive of all A grade armor set components.....Helmets! I honestly thought for a moment that the recipes were intended to be a curb to the insane in game infalation but without helmet recs dropping or spoiling whats the point?
*cough* Should we start with conspiration theory "spoilable helmet recipes would be bad for market, because people could get to A grade more easily" followed by "we need those other types of players to keep our income" *cough*

I agree 100%, can't believe they added the drops and not the spoils. If I weren't a BH who was seriously looking forward to getting those Recs, I'd be laughing.
LOL Mistryl I was just making fun of those theories, at least tried to
EDIT:
Items
* It is now possible to obtain A Grade armor recipes with the Spoil skill.
* It is now possible to obtain A Grade helmet recipes (60%) through monster hunting. Sealed Majestic Circlets and Sealed Helm of Nightmare recipes can be obtained through the Spoil skill as well.
From what I understand, only the Sealed Majestic Circlet recipe and the Sealed Helm of Nightmare recipe can be spoiled. All four helmet recipes can drop, however.
You guys have the drop/spoil list abow, it's not 100% complete as there is more drops then that, but thats what korea manage to find out a while ago.
And yes all helmet did *not spoil there.
Edit forgot add Not ^^.
PS for the drop list I aprihate if you find out wich form of the mob :P PM me the info LOL, I won't share it, and if your not on the same server as me you don't need to worry, I'm On lionna BTW.

The bigger issue so far is figuring out which Alpen Cougar and Buffalo to actually spoil. I spent about 9 hours last night spoiling 1/2x, 1x, 2x, and 4x varieties of all the mobs. I have no freaking clue which spice to be feeding them or which level to feed them up until. I did get a NM shield recipe though :-)
<3 NC for breaking the farmer's monopoly on Agrade. Now i just gotta figure out how to get these dang helmet recs
well i've been told it's the x2 alphen cougars (according to what others have read at korean sites) at x2.
as far as feed i have no clue if it makes a difference but i was there for many hours last night using golden spice and i managed to spoil
DC shield, Elysian axe rec, Carnage bow rec (successfully crafted that BTW ^^ ), maj earing and maj ring recs. no A helmets yet, i'll keep trying though. please someone let me know if they get 100% verification on the mobs that spoils these helmet recs.
Thers an 12,5% chans to get to the correct 2x HP mob form.
Basicly this is how it works.
Therx 1x mob, feeding it with gold spirce you get to 4 different ones ( 2 mage 2 melee), seed. Feeding them again you get to 4 different types again, (2 mage, 2 melee) if you got an melee at 1x you get an melee at 2x to so 50% chans here, first step is 25% chans.
Same goes with the other seed, as well COMPLETLY different mobs then the gold spice will give.
So over all you got an 12,5% chans to get to the correct 2x mob you want....
Thats all I can help yeah all with. I yet to get a spoil myself ><.
(PS it does not spoil from the 1/2 mob, got all the spoils from it )
One i my clan alredy got a spoil if it, ofcorse she refuse to tell what spoiled it thoght :/
Unfortunately, I don't believe your friend. I have not heard any reports of a single A grade helmet recipe drop or spoil across any of the NA servers so far. I believe the release notes may have been mistaken or premature. In particular, I doubt it highly because a certain website that will not be mentioned which tracks item drops has recorded several of every kind of A grade armor recipe EXCEPT for helmets.
Basically, I call shenanigans on the A grade helmet rec drops/spoils. I don't think they're in game and I won't believe it until I at least see a screenie or a capture of it on *that* website.
A. If the previously posted spoil and drop table is correct there are 8 versions of the 2xHP Alpen Cougar that Majestic Circlet recipes could possibly drop/spoil from. And thats if it drops / spoils from the 2x HP version.
B. Mistryl posted that only the Majestic and Nightmare helm recs spoil, however the previously posted list (which could be incorrect but has been accurate so far) shows Tallum and DC Helmets as spoil only. If thats the case then the drops/spoils of helmet recipes must have been changed from what was listed.

[removed] as the page your refering to sucks, don't use it for spoil it dosnt mater how much you glare at it, it dosnt work for spoil LOL. And thats why you really don't see much use for it.
Secondly the patch this got added on was added 2 days ago, I seriously doubht most BH's who's trying to obtian the recipe runs the progs your refering to, I'm example don't and never wuld.
And yes thers 19 forms of the mobs.
8x 1x mobs, 8x 2x mobs, and 1x 1/2 mobs and 2x 4x mobs. Have fun.

GG, You completely ignored the point of my post. I wasn't making a statement as to the accuracy of the site's database. What I was commenting to was that drops and spoils have been recorded for EVERY OTHER KIND OF A GRADE ARMOR RECIPE EXCEPT HELMETS! Even if it weren't accurate with regards to spoils (a statement I disagree with), it still is accurate with drops. These helmet recipes are also supposed to be dropping in addition to spoiling. Yet not a single tallum, DC, NM, or Majestic helm recipe has been recorded in there from any server.
Just because you might be butthurt over me not believeing your clanmate's claims of getting a helm spoil doesn't mean that you need to bash [removed] which is arguably one of the most effective resources for L2 in north america.

I quoted this because you seem to have missed it; it seems like a pretty good argument as to why not seeing it on that site doesn't mean it isn't in the game now.

No I absolutely did not miss that comment. It's flawed logic. First of all, it's not only BHs who are trying to get these recipes. According to the patch notes, the A grade helm recipes also drop. Logic would lead one to believe that if the other A grade recipe drops ARE being recorded, then the helmet drops should not somehow be excluded. So while you or I may not be loggin the drops, SOMEONE is. In fact, a lot of people are as numerous drops have been recorded up until this point... just no helms. Why would helms somehow be excluded from the drops that have already been recorded? Simply because they have NOT dropped. I have yet to see a screenshot or 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hand account of anyone getting a recipe other than a random person on these forums. I regularly talk with farmers and they also confirm my suspicions that there have not been any A helm recipe drops up until this point.
Becose HELM recipe dropes got added 3 DAYS AGO, they DID NOT, drop BEFOR.
You can go and belive it's a common drop but I'm darn sure it's not.
Speiclay not as I'm sure it only drop from 1 form of theos mobs, and thats an 12,5% chans to get to that form each try, You can do the MATH yourself to see how likly they drop, if they got like drop rate of other mobs like 1/2000.
Yes, the helm drops got added 3 days ago along with all the other a grade armor drops. All the other drops and spoils from the alpen cougars and buffalo have been recorded like, for example, the recipe for the dark crystal shield, etc. People have been farming those mobs hardcore, 24 hours a day, since the patch and not a single A grade helm rec? I don't think so.
Mistryl, if you're reading this, is there any way to confirm from the devs that the A grade helm drops/spoils are actually working? I do believe you when you say they were included in the patch but it just seems like they aren't actually dropping at all.
Plus I say itagain, 12,5% chans to get to that form of hte mob, if it have an 1/2000 drop chans from that mob, it meens the item got an over all 1/16000 drop chans.
i thought the a grade armours dropped since c5, and helms were only since the recent patch?
Plus, if u read the forums on that site it explains why spoils dont get recorded as often as drops, so it might be something to do with that, a combination of only a few days for a spoil to happen, and that not all spoils are recorded, whereas all drops are.
wheres the fun in that? :-)
part of the game is to find stuff out yourself..
And just think, put the effort in, be the first to spoil one, dont tell anyone, your spoil will be worthwhile..
If everyone knows how to do it prices fall, the poor dorfs stay poor, and the masses get richer:-)
I don't consider trying to figure out what a recipe drops from to be fun.. Perhaps you liek to sit and grind for hours on end trying to figure out the chance of what mob it is.. 90% of us dont. Its hard enough getting the item as it is... I dont want the added annoyance of trying to figure out which of the 12 possible mob combos it is to get it.
And I don't have a spoiler so I wouldnt be the only one.
So you can stop reading if you wanna do the "fun" of figuring out which it is.. I'd rather know what I have to do to get it.
Would still love for a confirmation of what version of the mobs drop/spoil the recipes so we have at elast 1 clue as to how to get them
I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag. To spoil and get the drops from the beast farm mobs for A grade helm recipes you need an item from the beast farm clan hall. So whoever owns this clanhall can get really filthy rich. Nuff said. Good luck all.
Anyway that's the way I understand how this is supposed to work.
The sellers allover the beast farm sell golden spice, you don't have to get that from the clan hall. Care to elaborate as to what item you have to have from the clan hall Tailchaser? If you don't know I am going to chalk that one up as a rumor and ignore it.
The "easily tamed pets" that the patch notes referred to as being controlled by the beast farm CH owners turn out to be some sort of tinier-than-baby-pets variant (check patch notes now, or was it the preview movie?).
its not a rumor. there are pets in my clan hall. tiny baby cougar, tiny baby buffalo, and tiny baby kookaburra. you feed them once and they turn into tame tiny baby whatever and buff with emp, haste2, bts, dgq, and soemthing else. they recharge instead of heal, even for a fighter class, maybe a bug. they are nice at working off karma, but they dont spoil anything.

The rumor part of it is that those are the mobs you have to spoil for the A grade helm recs. These are not the mobs that spoil A grade helm recipes. They do not spoil or drop anything so far as we know.
1 question plz to make this clear. for a succeding spoil, u need to feed the mobs with the spices and spoil them right after?
sry for a noobish question but i need to make that clear cause im really confused.
cant relate the feeding and the buffs/heals some cougars might offer when they grow up, with the chance of spoil or drop u might have.
Well, at the Beast Farm, you feed the babies, and they grow and if you keep feeding them and not attacking them, they have the chance to become a buff bot. They are in your way most of the time and they have a tendency to run off, but they do buff you according to your class, usually. As a healer, mine would give me empower and restore my MP. So the process was for us to create a "good" beast to help keep us healthy, and then work on creating "bad" beasts to get the xp.
Also, once fed, they can turn into "bad" mobs instead of heal/buff mobs. I think there are 3 levels that they can be grown to. If you kill them in the "bad" stage, they give great experience ... and I think that this is the one that drops the A grade helm recipes... but I have nothing solid to base that on.
Also, certain mobs want certain spices. You can choose from two. Wish i could remember who likes the one or the other, but just keep using until you realize that you get the best success with crystal or golden.
Well everyone's favorite but unmentionable website for drops and spoils has finally gotten info on DC Helm and Majestic Circlet recipes. A 2xHP Alpen Cougar (melee version) has spoiled a majestic circlet recipe. A 4xHP Alpen Buffalo (mage version) has spoiled a DC helmet recipe.
If ya train a beast and grab some greater heal pots a 57 BH can do them (using BW heavy, str+3 dye and sls*sls). If ya got a mage at 1x, kill it and do another. I was looking for maj. circlet, didnt get the recipe but from what i noticed ull need the 2x hp melee cougar that buffs himself haste before he starts fighting (ofc that one that does the most time stun...). Ive fed them golden food, most times i got mages, will try the other food tomorrow.
At last i can craft a few maj. earrings now ^.^ (also i know now that its not just Maj/NM Helmet but aswell DC)
SO far the list that got posted of mobs that drop and spoil A grade armor recipes has been dead on correct, and these spoils confirm that it is still on the money. So get on out there and let's get the price's of A grade back in line :)
I will ask our clan BH which spice she was using when she spoiled the majestic circlet recipe we got the other night. The differance in the spice is differant versions of the mobs. There are several differant versions of each mob and you have to feed it the correct spice to get a chance at getting the right version. Btw our clan BH also has spoiled 2 DC robe recipes now from alliance of splendor. You need the version of alliance of splendor that does not transform though.
Well i tryed 3 days for 3-5 hours alpen cougars.
Got the cougar 2 x hp melee version aswell as the 4 x melee and the 4 x hp mage one and the 4x hp mage bufferlo. The 4 x ones are a bit harder to get but i did not spoil any of the helmet recipes yet.
beside of the tarining issues with different spices i dont see any difference in the mobs if i feeded em with crystal or golden. I just figured if u feeded with crystal you should feed more crystal to envolve it while golden does nothing then at all and vice versa.
The only thing i got from the mage 4 hp cougar one was mold hardener but most time it does not spoil anything.
Plus there seems to be more then one melee 2 x hp version of the mob also it seems spoil tables also change if you feed the 2 x hp version one more food so it dont drops items.
So whats the deal on that how you can tell this is the right mob your looking for or not because i dont see a difference in feeding golden or crystal spice.
I belive you won't actually 'see' a differance in the mobs that are feed with golden or crystal the differance will be in that mobs resulting drops/spoil table. For example, a 2x Melee Cougar feed on Golden should drop/spoil differnt items then a 2x Melee Cougar fed on Crystal. The same should hold true on all beasts.
Well i tryed 3 days for 3-5 hours alpen cougars.
Got the cougar 2 x hp melee version aswell as the 4 x melee and the 4 x hp mage one and the 4x hp mage bufferlo.
Not sure exactly but I think it took our BH a couple of weeks working just the cougars to get the one majestic circlet recipe.
Im not to sure about it. The 4x hp versions seems the same no matter what spice you use while the 1x and 2x hp mobs seems to vary a lot.
Does someone know the logic behind this ? So far it is for me if i feed golden spice once on 1/2 hp cougar it envolves to a normal hp cougar mage or melee version if i feed 1-2 more golden i get 2x hp version of the melee or mage one depends what the normal version was. if i feed 1-4 more golden i get the 4 x hp version or a trained pet.
The same goes for the crystal spice.
If i try to feed golden spice first and get the normal version and then try to feed the cyrstal spice for a 2 x hp version nothing happens. So i guess you should not mix spices.
If that is correct how can i get the different types of the melee and mage normal and 2 x hp versions ?
If its random its not much better then the toi quest for me.
Well my clan has been working the quests for a couple months without managing to get a single recipe. Since the drops and spoils have been added we have gotten one majestic circlet recipe and 2 dark crystal robe recipes. All spoiled by the clan BH. We had already managed to get the rest of the majestic robe set we were working on by selling B grade weapons we had crafted. Now we are working on DC recipes so we can finish up a DC robe set.
i dont see this as being a hard way to do it. Put some effort into learning how the farm works, what mobs to give what food, and go for it.
Is entirely possible to spoil 3-4 recs in a days grind, and they also spoil a lot of a grade wpn recs, some interesting parts, scrolls, all sorts of stuff.
ok, xp is on the low side there, but is the old l2 thing, grind for xp, or grind for gear/ cash.
I just started doing this now before the shutdown ~1.5 hours of hunting, found it really fun to do cos you dont know exactly what the spoil is gonna be the only recipe i spoiled was a maj ring off a 2x alpen cougar. oh well server down time for some CSA before the servers are backup :)
