I died because of lags :-(((( Monster kiiled me while my client was frozen.
Is it so difficult to reply to lag problem posts? And advise gamers to keep away from Franz??

Issues with lag come up from time to time. The best you can do is wait it out (an excellent time waster: complaining to your ISP. No matter what those customer service people would let you think- they love it!). :D
I died too because of lag. And the worst is that i dropped stockings of devotion. It's the first time with so much lag in an official server. Things are going worst. Try to do something adms.
I died too. Guess what, I've been lvl 22 for 3 days now. Every time I get back to 90-95%, I die because of lag and cannot advance. I'm not playing until this is fixed. It's too frustrating and I don't need more stress.

Lag happens on ALL servers. I've seen whole groups lagged out. On Lionna sieges get lagged!

The lag on Franz is EXACTLY like all servers--and all connections to internet--and all volumes of players--and all server issues.
It is NOT worse, or first, or only there because somehow poor europeans aren't loved.
Is sit on a 13Kb/s connection, run an AMD 64 3200+ pros. with 1gig ram and ATIx700 GFX, and my server ping is 44 and i NEVER lag. Even when i run to a village and it starts to load all of those peepz it just hacks a bit. So maybe u should think about upgrading your PC. I suggest increasing your RAM, cos lag happens when it needs to dump old memory to make room for new.
FYI- lag (latency) isn't caused by your computer hardware setup or even your internet connection bandwidth, so ignore people telling you to buy a better computer or get a faster internet connection.
If you're playing the game and it just stops responding, but you can still see things being animated on the screen (i.e. you're fighting and your char just stops swinging, but is still standing there bouncing side to side) - that's latency and has nothing to do with your hardware.
Latency is caused by the number of "hops" the signal has to make when going from your PC to the L2 servers. Every single time the signal goes through a router or switch, the packets are buffered, processed, and re-made into a new packet before being sent on to the next hop. This takes time obviously. A couple of them wouldn't make much of a difference but if you have to make 20-30 or more hops to get to the L2 servers, you're going to have lag now and then no matter what you do. If any of those routers in the path get bogged down (more likely with a longer path, obviously) it's going to have an affect on your latency.
The ONLY thing you can do about it is possibly changing to a larger, more prominent ISP that is likely to have larger backbone connections to more places, decreasing the # of hops your connection to the L2 servers has to make.
Other than that there's nothing you or anyone else can do about it except move to a location that is physically closer to the L2 servers. Sooooo.... learn to live with it or pick another server that's closer to you.

Hmm ... sry but it dont help to move closer to the servers, I live in sweden and the latency is crap.
And Sweden is not far away from Germany
