- I ( American ) am lagging very badly. I've only had a 50% increase in ping otherwise ( 80 ping on reguler servers, 120 ping on EU.... both being good scores ). I can barely move let alone play...
- Read the other threads... we aren't alone
It's interesting that you mention this. I actually thought it would be the other way around....server is in Europe so North Americans will experience increased lag. I'm in America and have been expreriencing incresed lag on Franz the past few days.
I am from Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States and I haven't played today since I logged on to terrible lag this morning. Good thing I'm an orc and it takes more than 30 seconds for a mob to kill me.
From what i've found is that this lag effects everyone. I wasnt effected by it untill a few hours ago, although some much before that. Some people lag, some dont. Just wait for it to pass.
You can't reason like this because there are some Europeans who aren't lagging but no one is posting on that saying they have an unfair advantage (and don't say anything on it being a Euro server, the server is meant for everyone). Like people above have said it doesn't seem to be a location issue because some are lagging and some just aren't.

Ok I'm as far west as i can go without geting dumped in the pacific, i'm hit by heavy lag ah lot but only in random bursts.
Lag is a symptom of something else gone wrong, I'm pritty sure of at least that much.
The thing is this servers new, a lot of bugs still need to be worked out lag is just one of many things on a long list that need to be worked on.

people from all over the world were lagging to the point of the game being unplayable, and other people had no lag at all
The most extreme, and weird, example is 2 friends in my guild sitting in the same room, 1 of them had no lag at all yesterday and the other had 15 second lag spikes the entire day...
(im talking about yesterdays lag problem here, not general ping issues)

hate to upset the apple cart (old american saying) but "ping" and "lag" (experienced in-game) are complicated and have multiple factors!
I live in Pennsylvania (that's one of the eastern states in America) and I have the following "Ping" generally:
Lionna 115
Devianne 32
Franz 80
Last night I played all 3 servers. My playing partners in Ant's nest at one point lagged out of existence and we all got killed---ON DEVIANNE.
I switched to Lionna--although some were reporting lags, I didn't have a bit of trouble there.
Franz ran like a charm--no hesitation, no lag.
Most importantly, though I THINK I'm older than SirE I wouldn't guess it's by much. Kid! Hahahahaha. I'm gonna start referring to him as "punkie" now.

I'm in the US...Franz is pinging at 60...still the highest server on the list...but not laggy at all.
I have had some DC issues over the last few days, but that's it...apparently the rest of the US is also lagging however, so it's not the US that will own the server in a few more dsays of this...IT'S ME!!! MWAHAHA!

Your concerns are without basis - Amrecians are effected by the lag. I play in America and my recent lag caused me to not be able to play - I would hit a mob then lag, then when the screen started moving again I was down to 1/2 hp - then I would hit the mob and lag again. After dieing to the first two green mobs I attacked I logged for for 4 hours then loged back on to die to another green mob.
My normal ping is 180 -- recently with all of the lag it was 3,000+
ok look, its not the americans!!! i hate them 2 (joke) . i live in england and i didnt get a single hint of lag , but if u want to turn it to us vs them blame it on ze germans :eek: after all thats where the server is :)

I am Brazilian, Rio de Janeiro acctualy. And lag here is the same as it was in Lionna. Just usual... there was a few days when it had gone bad, but now it´s just the same.
Im in germany and lagging too it has nothing to do with the country go lern something about networks and stop making stupid no-sence threads you have no clue about.

Am I the only one on Europe that has much more lag on the american server than in the european server? I get a bit of lag sometimes on Franz, but I'm pretty sure it's because of the stupid wifi connection ¬¬U The rest of the time it works wonderfully (not like Erica, mind you).
