Question for ES's

My wife plays an ES, and she's about to hit 61. I notice that Tallum LA appears to be geared toward summoners, much as BW Light is used by 99% of them in B grade. But my question is Tallum even worth it? The bonus is just extra mp and mp regen which, imo, isn't that big of a deal...

The BW Light gives casting speed and a little extra pdef, whereas the Tallum Light gives +MP and MP Regen. Comparing the two, and with the prices of A grade, it doesn't seem worth it since she's never had a problem keeping her MP up.

Any other suggestions for armors, either B or A are welcome, though with financial restictions not likely. (Only reason I can get her Tallum LA is because my BD has tallum helm she can borrow lol) Thanks for any help!

It's probably best to get robes - everything except NM is good for summoners. If she must stay in light, any of the others will be better - NM or Maj for resists, DC if she actively hits things.

I'm not the summoner expert, but having played her summoner a few times, I can tell you the casting speed comes in handy when healing the summon, especially in pvp.

But regardless, what B grade armor would you say is more suited to summoners if not BW? o.O

A significant hit. Tallum reduces cast speed. -2 WIT equals about -10% cast speed. :o BW's -WIT gets compensated by the +castspeed so it still casts almost as fast as robes without bonus.

Doom is an excellent B grade summoner set (light not robes). It allows you to both melee and heal very well. while it doesn't particularly enhance your casting stats the mp regen bonus is noticable and the increases to yoru attack ability are excellent.

I think I'll just let her wear the Tallum Heavy for pve since she doesn't have to cast hardly at all in parties and just keep her BW Light for pvp. Thanks for the input guys

The proplem is that NCsoft don't care abotu summoners.

And like wise haven't made any armor sets that reall apply to them.

I wish they'd make a armor set that really applys to summoners puurely and hurt any none summoner!

(not that I play one, but I do like summoners and players that hang in there with it)

well i think we need passive cast speed bonuses that applie to light armor only, but for my A grade set up i will use DC light and dual keshs, for high cubic launch rate. btw i play PS. i keep a set of bw robes to use with Nightshade. i like to pvp so light armor is the way to go, but everyones preferances are different. summoners are versitile so many different set ups work.
