I was seriously thinking about making a warcryer, but have a few questions. I looked for a guide and found one that says you need to get to lvl 20 as an orc warrior, then do another 20 lvls as a shaman. But i thought shaman were casters? Can i change from melee to caster then? How does it work?
You don't really get many attack spells as an orc mystic, so you wind up levelling with a melee weapon. You need to do those twenty levels melee style, as an orc mystic.

I'm curious as to how you got confused on this, really. Did you misread the guide saying you'd have to melee a lot to raise levels to mean you'd have to start off a WARRIOR when you know a Warcryer is a CASTER type?

To achieve the rank of Warcryer, one must first do 20 levels as a Orc Fighter then another 20 levels as a Orc Shaman.
odd huh lol
If that's how the guide reads (I didn't look at it) then you were correct in following the line of reasoning...it's just the person who wrote it was confused. Perhaps they meant the first 20 levels FIGHTING. Either way it needs some sort of correction or something to avoid confusing people the way it did. Confusing guides aren't much help.
You definetly start as orc mystic if you whant to go WC> It's just meleing is a walid way for us to grind. We got all 3 types of armor masteries and general wearpon mastery so we can wield any wearpon too and not many skills to play as nukers. Oh and those cost TONS of mp >.<
The first skill you should learn, is life drain, of course. It'll help you go non-stop. When you have enough skill points, chill flame is a good spell to have. Use it to initiate attack from max range, and if it lands, meleeing the mob to death is easy.
Good luck with your orc mystic - its a fun class :)
Thanks for the advice guys, he is lvl 10 ATM, and i love it.
About this armor mastery. Wich should i specalise in? I am now rank 2 in light armor, so i can buy the wooden set for the bonus. I times rank 1 and rank 2, and they are more or less the same. I also timed my spells with a robe, and it was pretty much the same. Does this mean the heavy armor mastery will give me the same sort of cast times as a robe and light armor? What advantage would one have over the other? How do they all compair end game.
Warcriers (if you solo all the time) should use light armor. most use robes and nuke a lot, but that involves serious downtime, so a lot use light, and a handful use heavy despite the cast speed drawbacks.
