I have just reactivated my account after 1 and a half years of not playing and am trying to learn the ropes all over again and was just wondering where the best place for a 40 gladiator to grind is? Also for those of you that play on the erica server, im looking for some people to group with and a clan to join if anyone will have me, so when you're on send me a tell in game to kohrik.

Alligator Island is a fine choice for a lvl 40 DD, all the way to 45 even.
You could try a catacomb your level (Branded), but they are notoriously griefed excessively. For a bit of a mix-up, try to get a pick-up group to cruma tower, Eva's Garden's or try soloing in the new areas in Schuttgart (some good quests there, and maybe already a manor on your server?).
I think a gladiator right at lvl 40, unbuffed and alone, should be pretty careful on alligator island.
It's better at 45 imo.
If you're grouped that's a different matter.
Most everything there aggros--most are social--they stand around close to one another--their respawn isn't wicked, insane fast but it's fairly fast--they don't fall down and die quickly to melees--they hit pretty hard.
I seem to remember the places around Hunter's Village as a bit better for 40'ish solo.
Just my two cents. Careful on alligator if u go alone. I was there from low 40s-almost 50 solo and took a death or two by surprise.
