And what about a crafters only quest that would allow them to get any recipe they want provided they grind a helluvalot.
The recipe would only be available in automatic register mode. So no harm is done to live BHs and the double recipe penalty is still here but the harshnesh of the rarity of the drops is softened.

very unlike you but you post was poorly worded
not a flame but i generally like dwarf whines to be readable by the whole community :P
my main problem with all the weapon and armor quests is excludeing the S grade weapon quest in I.T none of them are soloable
considering 90% of my ws play time was solo i cant understand the logic behind that
Recipe acquisition is Bh work and should stay with them. They need you to make a craftstore to craft the stuff - you should need to buy the recipes off 'em.

**** straight
now go spoil me some A grade helm recs, some S grade weapon recs and some S grade armor recs
if nc actually added the recipie spoils 2 chronicles earlier that would be a reasonable suggestion but atm its more a case of buying the recs from farmers since i have no chance in hell of farming to supply my own recipie book
there really needs to be better options for a crafter to equip himself
And that option is not to nerf BHs worse than they already are - it is to boost them. Of course it's pretty much too late since more people rerolled away from BH than WS (people kept their WSs to get the high level crafts and/or siege golems after all).
** with 14 key mats and 1 recipe for every object it's worth getting 1/15 from BH's to allow the crafter to actually craft...
And don't forget it takes two recipes to craft so the BH won't be useless at all, just the crafter won't depend on finding one and won't have to pay the insane market prices since they'd be official ones.
You're crying wolf when you see a kitten now?
No harlm done to live BHs I still believe it. And I'd better as I have a 63 BH myself...

While the quest i've been doing isnt exactly ANY recipe, i do know that from what i have recieved so far it has been any 60% recipe in the B grade range and is repeatable and easy to do, very good money earner thats for sure.

You are clueless. You have no idea what a WS has to go through to get recipes. Near the beginning of C4 I spent 70 million adena to get seven of the S weapon recipes (2 were given to me). I have made about 30 million in craft fees. From what I have seen, I am the only WS on Erica who has those recipes in a craft shop almost every night of the week. It has been a month since my last S weapon craft.
I am missing the Draconic bow recipe. Should I buy it for the 100 million adena market price? I would never get my money back in fees.
The same is true for A grade weapon recipes. The recipe price is often in the millions, but craft fees are 100k or less (I have seen farmers charging 10k for A weapon crafts.)
The whole system is unfair to warsmiths. I have quested for most of my A weapon recipes (usually solo), spending weeks killing mobs that give almost no XP. The only recipe I purchased never generated enough fees to cover half it's 5 million adena cost since I bought it near the beginning of C3.
The problem is that the ability to purchase adena has caused recipe prices to rise. Competition between the craft shops has caused craft fees to drop. Many warsmiths think they are being clever by crafting for a few adena less to try to steal market share. This usually backfires as other crafters react with an increasing downward spiral of fees. Most crafters I talk to complain that they are losing money on weapon recipes.
In general there is no incentive for a warsmith to buy weapon recipes. Except for certain rare situations, like being the first crafter on the server with Draconic Bow recipe, the warsmith will lose money.

lmao, have you seen the quests needed for S grade recipes? Like kill 8000 of these mobs for a chance to get one rec, I dont think its fair to be able to spoil those.
Now the korea patch with the A grade spoils is fine with me. Spoil them at a decently rare rate. You ever did the giants cave quest to get top a grade recs for just the armor? Its a lot of work and requires a lot of time and need to complete a full quest before you can even get the good recs.
The way I see it, no easier access to the best grade of gear until a newer grade has come out and add a chronicle after that. Then let them spoil.
