Stun efficiency

As an Orc beginner I found it most exciting to carry 2-handed sword. However I read somewhere that I can still take advantage of my stun attack skill with any blunt I can get (with a simple macro switching between two weapons). So I bought the cheapest one there was in the store. The problem is that it lands like one on fifteen approaches. Does the stun become more efficient with better weapon, or am I just out of luck ?
yeah
u need better wepaon.
higher matk and patk increase the chance of stun
I have always heard weapon doesn't matter.

Everyone I have talked too (and the rather limited amount of dwarf play time I have had) say it doesn't matter which weapon you use for stun, it is just the level of stun vs. level of player/mob to be stunned. High level dwarves often switch to their newb blunt or chrono to stun and it works quite well.

matk better not have anything to do with stun. :p
No.

Stun's landing rate is indeed that low. Even getting the Post 40 skill version of it doesn't help. And while it can last up to 8 seconds....that usually only happens to you when stunned by a mob. What normally happens is every so often stun lands...then breaks on the second hit.

There are some new 'weak to shock' mobs that seem to get stunned a small % more though. (Maybe 10% though, so not enough to run out with a blunt and hunt those exclusively.)

For the most part, just ignore stun and stick with the 2H swords. Blunt for stun is only of minor use in pvp overall. Sometime you get it to land for more than 2 seconds (pvp/pve) and it is nice when it does, but all too often it breaks on the second hit. I've even seen a Raid boss stunned in C5...but it lasted such a short time and made such little difference that it may as well have not landed at all.
Hammer crush & Stun attack got the very same Stun chans, Lv 1 vs lv 30 of the skill to, no difference, always same stun chans. What difffer is the damage you hit for.

Nobody know the real formula but the test have shown that.

Also when stun hit, on average it disepere within 2 hits as well.
I dont believe that lvl 1 stun has same effect on a level 75 char as the highest level of stun. Besides, whats the point of shield stun since it doesnt do any damage lol. I dont think you're right on this one.

Shield stun is a bit different in that it does no actual damage (only the stun) and it has a much higher landing rate.

You can see the modifier the skill adds here, both 0,5 then the actually formula is still unknown on other hand.
dwarves gods of stun (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=general&Number=675428&Sea rchpage=2&Main=675428&Words=gods&topic=&Search=tru e#Post675428)
thats my dwarven stun test
from my experiance i can tell you that the pve land rate of stun ranges from 10% lower to 10% higher than those results
a chrono appears to have the same land rate for stun as a S grade weapon
average stun last rate is about 2.6 hits (higher in pve)

stun from most effective to least effective
shield stun
stun shot
orc stun
gladiator stun
dwarf stun

gladiators actually get the same lvls of the same skills as dwarves but for some reason theirs lands better
