Pls pls, can someone indicate me if there is a mob who has a decent silvers coins (of magic) drop, beside Formors, who are scoundrels and drop 1 coin every 2 hours?
Wonna become a professional collector, but silvers are giving me hard times.
Also, what is the drop rate of new mobs, anyone has tested it? (i kinda figure the answer to this, tho).

I tried them, with another higher level char, but i did not remember their drop was too good.
Maybe i got discouraged by them too soon?

No other ideas, haven't done this quest again with any other toon since, except a though that my buddy who was a warlord, was hunting in DV and with a bit of deleveling managed to rack in around 700 gold coins.
The new mobs drop quite well, the ones around goddard anyway. getting a lot of gold and a decent amount of blood medusa. Not found one for silvers yet though.

in about 8 hours i got about 35 coins
All I can say is the low-40s lvl mobs have a very low drop rate. I've spent several hours hunting Timak Orcs and Lakins, and I have just 12 Blood Medusa to show for my time.

Silvers are intersting, quite frankly they suck as a coin collector. My suggestion to you is to collect gold wyverns, sell them if need be, buy the silver ones you want for a fraction of the price.
There are many mobs in dragon valley that give golden wyvern at a pretty decent rate. Gold wyverrn gives the best rewards, sell for the most by far (3x approx compared to the other coins). Thats just my two cents.
I am a top level collector with the A grade rec quest. To tell the truth its not all that its cut out to be.
That's what i would like to become too! a royal collector wow.
Can i make very last question about this subject? in the new list of mobs to hunt that you get when you accept the quest in c5, Tarlk Bugbears are mentioned.
Are they ment to be Tarlk Bugbears High Warriors only, or every variety of Bugs drops coin too? Did anyone get silvers from plain Tarlk Bugbears?

Every Tarlk Bugbear drops silver unicorns...there is no difference in quantity nor speed...I did them all and got a decent amount of Silver Unicorns from Formors and Tarlks, just killing on sight with my archer.

people goto understand one thing from quests in lineage you dont need to delevel for getting quest items you could be lvl 70+ and still get quest items from low level mobs is the rate that your killing not the level.
the faster you kill the less time you spend getting quest items. ;)
Also i have noticed that coins drops is not constant: sometimes i got 20 or so medusas from Punishments in one hour (really), and in another moment just one or two coins in the same time.
Must complete this quest.....I've been doing it for so long...I'm setting up my new address in the cemetary....already have a nice plot picked out for me as well...only 50 more red coins to go and I can move on! Probably be done next month at the rate i'm going... :p
Yeah I can confirm, the drop rate is really strange. I hunt with my BF in VoS, within 2 hours he got 7 blood medusas. So we agreed it' not worth it going there only for coin hunting. Then next day he got 40+ during approximately same time. Strange.
It's definitely not consisent. Sometimes I can go a whole buff cycle w/o a single coin and other times I'll get 3 in one cycle...mostly it just takes a looooooooong time.....mostly. :eek:
Personally i believe this quest should be revamped and the coins should drop at a more regular rate.
I started this quest a few nights ago because i cannot believe the price of Full Plate Helmets, want to get one because my brother finaly gave up WoW and started playing a real game.
So i goto buy him one and its like 8 million adena........i goto Enchanted Valley to farm Full Plate Helm designs, i spend 6 hours there and dont get 1 single helm design to drop.........i begin the quest on my 59 BH, Punishments of Undead are light blue and the drop rate is obsurd, i mean seriously, i spent all day here yesterday, almost 7 hours and got 7 Blood Medusas.
Now i can only think of a few things why its like this:
1) The mobs are Light Blue, so maybe effecting my quest update
2) This is just how it is....
If this is just how it is, it will be faster to go and make 8 million adena from grinding XP in a catacomb then wasting time with this bs.
Personally, for a well thought out quest, i think its a complete waste of time and effort to be honest, even if your going for the Royal membership for A grade recipes, these are easily enough spoiled now since C5.
if you ask me coins will be worthless in a few months
the drop rate in vos isnt really that high but if you keep in mind all the uber fast lvling mage subclassers that lvl there its really gonna start to add up
i can pull in up to 100 silver coins a day or 50 bloods
the quest will never be outdated. No one crafts demon gloves and the coin of magic quest is the only other way to really get them. I think its 200 gold coins for 1 demon glove, as long as there are nukers there will be a market and gold wyverns will always be worth a lot.

The rewards of Kail Magic Coins quest were very good for previous chronicles, but now in C5 A grade recipes can be spoiled!
I saw many of them sold for about 4 millions in Giran, while to get the same recipe out of this quest, i should:
- use 660 coins to get to Royal Membership (220 for each kind);
- find many Kail Magic Coins;
- add another 300 normal coins, depending on what recipe i want to get.
That is, about 1000 coins of magic (with the actual drop rate!!) for 1 recipe A grade, valuable nowdays less then 5 millions, while with the same amount of coins i could get 2 FP Helmets and 1 pair of Demon Gloves.
It is not worth to get to Royal Membership in this way. I really hope that game scripters will do something to upgrade the rewards of Kali Magic Coin Quest, in order to let it be still worth doing. (pls) (i'll keep my hard earned coins waiting for this :P)
They added alot of new mobs that drop coins now, and drop them faster. I spent a while killing Formors, and got few silvers. I wen tuup to Bandit Stronghold, and got alot more, alot faster. Running through Goddard, killing the aggro Half HP mobs, neeted me about 2/3 mobs killed for Blood Medusas. So the lower levle mob coin drops seems slow, but the higher level ones seem quite fast...
Kails Silvers are wicked easy to get, Im just outta the **** Blood Dragon ones :(
I am an avid questor, I don't hunt unless I am questing. In c5, it seems they have nerfed quite a few of the quests. In giants cave, I might get 1 parchment an hour. It took me over 2.5 hours to get 10 blood kails.
Ebony, are you still getting the silvers from the fallen orcs? I got one in 20 minutes there too and got kinda frustrated.
