Only two frost yetis?

A helpful person today told me that there is only 1 spot where frost yetis spawn, and there are only 2 of them there. Is this correct? Or do they exist somewhere else as well?

Thers 2 spots of em and 1 on each.

Wow, I wonder if these mobs live longer then 2 seconds...

...not when I am there, they don't!

From what I've seen there are 2 on a narrow path and then more in an area with ursus group mobs.

The drop rates seem to be worse than 1/50. Does this strike anyone else as kinda ********ed?

It makes perfect sense if you don't think about the entire server trying to get the books at the same time.

How does it make sense? If you don't take into account the entire server getting it, what harm would it do to have multiple spawn points?

The odds are between 1/212 and 1/278 according to a site i cant mention here :)

I was talking about the drop rates, not the spawn points.

The drop rates themselves honestly aren't that bad. Every night I've gone to farm them, I've gotten 2-3 books, usually 1 of which I need in 2-3 hours. That's really not that bad.

Ok, well the spawn rates are ok, kinda like EV. It could just use more spawn points of many of the mobs.

Also in EV every mob drops books (regular mobs), while its much less than half the mobs in FL that drops books.

It's really dumb, very few mobs, lots of ppl hunting and atrocious drop rates, hunted probably 10 hours for one on alts and still havent gotten it...

comeon ncsoft this is ridiculous :confused: i think the drop rate for some books are much bigger numbers :(

All 40+ spellbooks in game drop at the same ball-park rate (1/300ish, plus or minus 50). The only reason it seems bad in Frozen Labyrinth atm is cause the entire server is trying to pwn the same 3 mobs to get their books lol...wait a few weeks and the problem will be a lot less.

Books have gone from 2 mil to 1 mil to 500k on Lionna already.

Soon enough, they'll be in line with others.

Yes, most books have, but not clarity. Clarity and one other spell drop only from these two mobs, and the sell prices are still millions because of that. The other mobs that drop books have many, many spawn points. Its just the dang yetis. I think they're an endangered species.

What is nice is that a lvl 66 SpS can still hunt and AOE the ursas and frost yeti.

Also, its nice that the drop rate isnt that high because regular players like me have a chance to make some good money selling books to those people who get adena in "other" ways.

I grind 2-3 hours out there and i will get with AOE 5-10 books in a night.

Clarity is closer to a 1/300 drop from what i have found. Only ever got 3 of them since C5 started.
