Plz ppl pick up your adena from the floor, the server are going nuts with all the money on the floor (remember the adena siege trick?) nvsfot should restart servers a lot..
If I pick up, I can't level, and moreover, I can't manor. I actually lose money per time picking up - I do it because I hate getting lagged up, but it's still idiotic.

Uhm, exactly the same reason why they don't pick it up.
I kinda doubt that the adena is really lagging the server that bad. It's certainly not causing me to lag at all.
I'll say this, if I'm playing a melee character then I will pick up my money, because I'm right there. But if I'm playing a ranged character, I'm not going to waste my time running over to the mob I just killed to pick up the money. It wastes time and mana regen. I would make significantly less xp per buff round if I actually picked up my drops.
Usually on my SpS I will leave it all till I run out of mana, then rather than sitting down I'll walk around picking all my drops up and only killing the mobs that aggro on me. On my academy alt however, no I don't pick it up. Drops of 200 adena each? Not worth the 5 minutes of my life it would take to pick it all up. Anyway, I just look at it as a way to give back to the real newbs, LOL. Anyone who's actually poor enough to run around picking up money in EG really needs a little help.
As soon as someone picks up aggro again after finishing their pace of fighting instead of moving to pick up their loot, they lose the right to really complain about people taking that loot.
If you can pick up the loot, it is yours. You have a few seconds to get it yourself. Use those seconds or lose to right to claim it to be yours without resorting to violence.
On Lionna on Alligator Isle I once picked up 180k on night, 308k the next night, and obviously went back the third night and picked up around 200k more!
I don't know who was leveling there and leaving the adena but I wish I did cause they could be my new best friend in game!
If a nuker or archer or other stand off toon is in an area and adena is lying around I figure they haven't gotten to it yet---if no one is around it's FREE. If a melee is in the distance almost out of sight--obviously it wasn't important to them.
I don't think I have ever knowingly taken someone else's drops. I've redropped adena when I thought I made a mistake. I've asked other players if they were leaving it on purpose (and a SURPRISING number say "yes--take it").
This game is about money almost as much as it is about experience points.
Money on ground is a fine thing. Let me know what server you're playing, what time, and I'll tag along to take the drops you intend to leave.
One other thing about this--is "left adena" a symptom of the bigger problem? I wonder.
Sure there are ubers who have billions and can give their c or b grade alt 10's of millions--when those few folks play an alt maybe they don't care if they pick up 2,300 adena on Alligator Isle.
But considering how much it happens it leaves me wondering if 'outside adena' is so cheap that truly lower players can 'afford' now to just leave the adena!
I've NEVER left even 5 adena on the ground. Can't imagine I ever will.
Maybe adena just comes "easier" to some than it does to me...............hmmmm.

Now that's an awesome idea. Didn't lineage 1 mobs use to do that? Can't remember...that was so long ago... :)

I don't care for the auto decay that much...but it is a interresting idea..
They need to add auto item-adena to invatory as a loot option. and if your in a party it goes by the party leaders loot set up.
If a player is out of range.. Say one player is in town and you pick up they get nothing.
It's really agrivating to take your time out to pick up stuff, XP > adena...If I'm out lvling and I want fast XP I'll leave my drops on the ground unless there is bots close to me, then I pick up.
I'll usely would do something like XP for 40 minutes = 2 buff rounds. and while my SE is macro buffing I'll pick up. when shes done buffing I resume XPing.
I'm in the cattegory of people where Range/Melee is a factor.
When I'm on a melee toon, it's stupid to not pick up the adena when you're right there, where as when I'm on my SR or nukers, I leave it lying on the ground till I am done Xp'ing for the day and go and collect it all at once (as opposed to per-buff round). Pick Up Macro FTW!! :p
If adena or stuff is on the ground and nobody is pretty near, I just pick it up...if they go nagging about it later, their problem not mine. Maybe all those nukers with their boxed SE, should pick a live SE just for recharge and looting? Hmm?
If I ever have the priveledge (really) to duo with a buffer (SE or PP) then usually I leave the job of fetching the Adena/drops to them ^^
and no, I do not Dual Box, so I rarely have buffs. If I did dual box, then I wouldn't really worry about making the best XP per Buff round and casually pick up everything that drops. :p
This is an eternal mistery to me - why on earth do all the buffers never have groups, and all the melees, archers and nukers never have a buffer? The same goes to me - I can never find a buffer willing to duo with me, but by contrast I can rarely find groups on the healer types either...

i will ask nicely a few times to not pick it up and then if they continue it goes to warning shot then it gets to rang rang'in time.
I'm a Nuker. My wife is an Archer. We kill, deal with adds (if any) and pick up the loot. No excuse here for ranged players that leave their crap laying about.
And feel free to warn me. And then feel even more free to see if your butt can cover the check your mouth is writing.
I guess it depends on your class, on my Sps sub I really can't afford to have the SE walking constantly picking up loot, since my class is such a mana hog.
Then what happens when the server goes down and you loose all that loot, because you weren't picking it up?
You high levels "and this isn't directed to you EllieBelly" may have adena in the billions, leaving us low levels scavenging like dogs just for 20 adena....

Hey. . I have 100K to my name. . if I come across fields of money with no one around. . .I'm gonna pick it up (and have done so!) I made 100K once in 20 min just picking up gold.
I love following trains of players in EV, you all know the ones I mean. I love following them around because they are almost always leaving behind the spellbooks and amulets that drop. Apparently takes up too much room in their inventory. I picked up enough spellbooks last night in 5 minutes to get 45k from the NPC store. Quite frankly I take my low lvl TH up to FOTD to clean up all the time. There always seems to be 2 or 3 fields full of loot with no one nearby. Silent move gets me in and out and a bit richer without worrying about aggro.
On Hinde, FOD has a well known toon "lootninja" (sp?) that runs around picking up loot from nukers that leave it out. Toon is low level, gets pked and dies a lot, but I bet he's seen a lot of nice free gear.

LOL.. Is he that famous? I heard he got over 500k in a couple days.. And that someone paid him 100k just to get him away from their loot.. lol.. Too funny..
People like that wont go and pick up their loot, they only get pissy if someone else does lol, its not like they were gonna!
