The sig allowing only 200 charaters.

it's just not enough.. can you raise it to 400.

The proplem is when you try to add color or spaces to your sig. it takes up all the rest of the space so you can't have colors and your classes or other things in it.

Makes the spaces very short for use!
You shouldn't worry about the sig, but your 400KB + avatar....

As avatars under 20KB are only allowed.
Stop worrying about a sig and get rid of that huge avatar.

Nice try. :p
But it's okay to have an avatar that is 466KB? Cool, I've got some. :p

have to agree that the text that is not visible on the forums should not count..
my avatar was cool.

you shouldn't worry about what my avatar is... that isn't the point of my post so why bring it up.

now if any of you know how to compress one that would be helpful.

and 20kb, lol wow what a joke.
Here comes the Whaaambulance.
Because huge sized avatars create slow page loadings....

Anyways, there is no way to compress a multiframe image and still have it look good. A single framed image is the only way.

to the first part, since I loaded that I wasn't having any problems with forum loads.(nore did I know how big it was) now the forum loads slower lol.

well mystril told me to ask if any one knew so I was doing as she said I was asking.

it's a shame we can't have biger avatars, but w/e.
You may want to think about scaling that image, then it would appear so distorted.
The pic you chose as an avatar is not really that good, because you cannot really see that much when it is used here on the board (when you load a page here, the full-sized pic is still loaded, but it is only shown at the smaller size, so it gets distorted and you cannot really see anything anymore). Still, if you want the same look but smaller picture size, just resize the picture to the resolution used here on the board.

So, instead of this (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/nolerahl/Shot00017.jpg)
just use something like this (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/5439/smallerqw3.jpg)

Same end result, but the resized pic is 6k and your old pic is 147k :)

to be honest I have no clue how to do what your asking...all I did was coppy and paste from photobucket.

I realize that that image doesn't look that good...but I just didn't know how to change it...sorry plz be alot more specific in how to change it, cause I'm sure that it would help out alot more people then just my self.

TYVM for the input tho. I aprecate it.

I normally use tools like ImageMagick (http://www.imagemagick.org/MagickStudio/scripts/MagickStudio.cgi/) to crop and scale the image into a avatar. Dig me up a image you want to use and i'll show you what i mean.

I looked at it.. but I'm just sind you the file then you can do it too much confusetion on my part.
What do you want to use, what you have for your current avatar?
