Healers and weapons (C grade and up)

Hi

Since C5 introduced some new limitations on healers ability to use weapons (what are the limitations btw?) what would you suggest a Prophet and SE use as a weapon. My friend who plays a prophet (lvl 47) complains that he cant solo anymore with the focus C duals he got.
Was dual usage nerfed or is he just imagining it? :)
And what about my upcoming SE, she's about to hit 40 and I was wondering if it's wise to go with crystal staff + Mana up or something else?

What about B-grade?

Why would a Prophet with Focus duals have problems xping?
Is he a nuker wannabe or trying to xp on pink/red mobs? WTH?

The only limitation that would affect the Prophet weapon choice is the Bow. Effect of Duals on Prophet was not changed.

As an SE, I'd personally probably prefer a sword of mystic (Mystic's Sword?) with acumen ...

If you're solo, a one handed sword is probably better than duals anyway. :p

A Shillien Elder already has enough mp for an entire group, because they will rarely be main healer anyway...so mana up ain't really needed. A staff-sword-duals are all fine options, choose what you like.

My Shillien Elder had an ELS all the way to 50, then she had an Eminence Bow all the way to C5 and now she uses +4 Raid*Raid...never have any problems with those.

Sorry, I don't understand your friends complaining, even a Shillien Elder can still solo at that lvl in Dragon Valley with Disrupt Undead, so a prophet, with duals AND focus should have a blast.

Ah so duals are not affected. So he'd have to be able to solo as he did before.

Oh well I guess the SE will go for an acu weapon. :)

The reason he's having trouble could be, that the mobs he was xp'ing on in C4 has gotten new attributes. Maybe they have strong p.def and they didn't before.

And what about SE's and bows? I've been using a BoP for a while during C4 with my SE, just to help a bit with dmg (not to solo). And with my own buffs it was pretty noticeable. It still worth the effort?

SE's would be in the same Boat since they aren't exactly Archers, so why would they be more profficient ^^

Mages cant use bows now, an SE with a BoP would get -30% C.Speed and -8 Accuracy if they used it.

I lost a lil over 150 cast speed on my EE when I tested on the PTS.

Yes, I don't think anyone would like to do that.

I say, have 1 weapon with Acumen SA, it's defetively needed for buffing, I HATE, and I say it again I HATE prophets who take 5 darn minutes to buff there parties example, ofcorse most healers is not this extream but buffing sholdnt take more then a min. You lose massive amonth of XP stoping to buff.

Later on Prophets won't have the MP to buff an entire party + stand up, but this wont really hapen befor 52+, befor 52 you should be just fine helping otu with damage so yeah any crit duals will do you good. And ofcorse small parties you will always be albe to help do damage.

But trust me, you will be a lot more loved having an acumen sa, and most likly robes who give casting speed + WIT tatoos.

When my Prophet soloed with her duals & dagger both with focus & heavy, I surely had a blast :)
