Having a wander around the new areas, came across a little dwarf just outside Pavel Ruins. I had never seen him before so I clicked on his speach icon. Big mistake. He firstly warned me to leave, and seconds later a little animation began of this Dwarf running towards a box, flicking some levers.
You guessed it, it was Chaos who promptly killed me :( Doh!!!
How stupid am I? So anyone else got any confessions to share :p
When I first saw the title I thought you were gonna come out of the closet wearing pink frilly panties.
Some time ago a friend dropped in while I was regenning my toons in a safe spot. Everything was green so nothing could kill me. I tell my friend hey wanna try lineage 2? Kill something with my toon and I doubt if anything there can kill you. Moment later he announces, "Hrm you're dead." I run back and see that he nuked the raid boss in my "safe spot."
I was in Rune Castle Town going to the clanhalls and took a wrong turn and found this place I've never been to before that seemed like an entrance to the rune castle.. So the curious little elf went snooping around.. It required you to fall a few times for some minor damage, so I did, and then I saw some Zombie Gatekeepers on both sides of some entrance.. Silly me thought they were like the guards that just stoob by the gates in every town and walked right in.. Bam.. 3 shot by the zombie gatekeepers.. :(
Think my biggest mistake was chatting to a friend while finishing a quest - they were dark blues and i was 3hit killing them so i wasnt to worried.....well untill i died because i had totally forgot to heal lol
I once criticized a pick-up tank who was tagging along with our clan's raid team cause he was always starting the raids too early.
Eventually he just wouldn't listen so I got all threatening and not very nice. Called him names--said I'd serially kill him if he didn't get his head out of his ******--etc.
Of course, not once, not twice, but THREE times in like our next half a dozen raids---WITH HIM PRESENT--I accidentally and falsely start 3 raids before group is ready!!!!
One of the times I mis-fired I was in the act of pm'ing a clan buddy telling him how the tank's mistakes were sooooo much more stupid than my one blunder when.........oops. Hit the wrong button again.
I was actually sitting alone in front of my computer in my den blushing (lmao).
My clan leader was standing next to a Raid boss (taking screen shots or something) so I walked up and started smacking him (the CL). Then, I turned to walk away only to see the RB + Minions turn on the clan leader and drop him. Yeah, he had tried to hit me back and accidently targeted the RB. :p
Of course I forgot I had, for a change, buffed first the unicorn and then myself, finding myself running (for a surprisingly long time, the life cubic came back from its vacation) from 12 very angry mobs.
L - "Ok I'm meeting my clannie in 3 minutes at Dragon Valley- anyone know a shortcut?"
Me - "Yeah I do, there's one through the hills, follow me."
L - "Maybe it would be better just to SOE and run from Dion..?"
Me - "Nah trust me I know the way."
~5 minutes pass~
Me and 3 friends, somewhere in the hills, only one of us had any scrolls, and she only had 3.
On sharing them out, guess who was left to unstuck :s
Also, a Raid Boss one of my own;
We were doing the Ratman on an alt, so I go sit by it... accidently nuking one of the minions before anyone else is even there.
The rest arrived one by one, to find me dead already... and after all having a good laugh they waited until everyone was buffed but me before rezzing me so I couldn't do any more damage than I had already.
Guess who manages to pull the RB again.
Fortunately our Tank hated it and we were mostly ready... 6/7 survived. I was the one who didn't. They didn't rez me again lol.
Well, in my 1st siege ever with my arhcer i was in the walls and was so exited that i saw 1 group of chars passing by when the siege started and i saw a Spellsinger and BOOM! 2 shot him with 2 crits...
Siege chat: ppl, please watchout... the clan blahblah is our ally, so plz dont kill them
When I first started this game I had a tank. My very first raid, I couldn't keep hate and was told I was the worst tank ever by one guy. After feeling slightly embarrased, I then pked him. Apparently he was a clan leader on his alt. :( Needless to say I didn't survive meeting the rest of his clan.
First day of Hindemith Open Beta, I logged in to create my character. The server had been up for a few hours, and I was waiting for my housemates to log in. While standing around the noob hunting spot for human spawn on Talking Island, a character came up to me and started attacking. We fought for 3 or 4 deaths each, then my housemates finally got in and he ran off. 6 months later, I was talking with one of my good friends in our alliance about our first days of L2. Turns out, he was the "***" griefing people on their first day in the game. We had quite a few laughs...then I told him I wanted my 4% back compounded monthly.
Back on teon in prelude, I asked to join a party in SoDA and someone invited me. Their english was kinda broken and I was kinda puzzled at them being so eager to invite nooby little me.
They ask me to run around the edge on top of the walls, because it's faster to get to them from there by jumping down. "But won't I die?", "no no, you don't die from fall damage".
Alright sweet, so I jump down.
You have taken 47191 fall damage.
Skeleton hit you for 8 damage.
Bone Breastplate has been unequipped.
You have dropped Bone Breastplate.
You have been expelled from the party.
I spent like half a week earning that thing, I was so ****** :(
Edit: I guess we could talk about all those times I've accidentally hit thunderstorm, whirlwind, howl, or provoke while we're getting ready to do a raidboss, but that's not really a secret I have to confess.
The worst was when we were just about ready to do the cat on the giran/heine beach. I was in the middle of stretching irl when the CL starts counting down for the raid to start, so I just sorta go "woah" and throw my hand down on the F keys to get ready. I throw it down a little too hard and - obviously - the key I accidentally press is provoke.
The funny part is that people tell me I shouldn't have the boss targeted for it not to happen.

best scam in prelude!!!! LOLOLOLOL that you fell (quite literally) for it.
omg, same thing happened to me...that [censored] chased me all around in his giant mechanicl golem suit, I was FREAKIN out to my clanmates & I pooped in my pants a lil.
Confession number 2 - it's not the first time I have made that kind of mistake.
I've mentioned this before somewhere but I also accidentaly attacked Shacram (outside Hunters) whilst on my own on same character. I was stood at the side of him and I clicked on him to check is stats. Got distracted, forgot, clicked again, cross Shacram, I ran over side of cliff edge - so did he - one dead Orc later ....... :(
My b/f couldn't stop laughing and called me a noob for the rest of the day :o
Last year when they had the random raid bosses that were psawning everywhere and dropping tons of enchants... I forgot which event it was called. At the time I was playing a C grade archer. The first boss, a massive demon was right near Oren. Wee got about 150 people or so who showed up to kill it once they discovered it was there. While preparing for the raid, I right clicked a party member's name.... twice. He had the RB targetted. So in front of 150-200 people, My little C grade archer shot an arrow, watched the Raid boss do this jump thing over everyone, and drop me in a single hit. Awkward moment. I used ot evne have the SS of that, but I lost em when i formatted
Think my biggest mistake was chatting to a friend while finishing a quest - I blame you Mame (if you read this!)
I was reading this post thinking it rings a bell, low and behold it was me :)
To contribute, I know its not unique but while 2-boxing just after buffing I got distracted for a second, next thing I know I'm smacking a group of mobs with my SE. In a similar vein of getting distracted, while lowering my health to enable Frenzy on my then Raider, I removed some of my armour (I was impatient) and promptly forgot to put it back on while agroing a full room. Not my smoothest move
Ahh, you gotta hate the accidental bsoe. I just did that before the server went down trying to use a normal soe.
One of the funniest things to happen to me was when I was trying to get my wife into the game, I had been soloing my bd down in GC. So I let her try out the BD and just duo'd with her with my prophet.
I started goofing around and hitting her with windstrike and when she tried to hit me back she couldn't because she wasn't holding control. So once I told her to hold control she started whooping the *** outta me because she had been spamming the button trying to hit me. Long story short, my prophet lost 4% and my bd gained a pvp point. But she felt bad and it made her like the game enough to stay.
Oo I never heard of this NPC...I once stood as Shillien Elder lvl 61 in Dion Hills and got killed by a Dire Wolf cause I was on the toilet >.<
Whoa, were you wearing devotion or something? lol
I think we've all done the accidental bsoe, but it's equally embaressing every time :D
Do NOT put bsoe on your main bar. Do NOT.
LOL, if I say Baium now...will you go berzerk? :)
Nah I was wearing full Tallum, just had to go for a looong toilet break
TMI.
Maybe NC could implement a new feature called the 'toilet break'
Instead of having to find a safe spot during these moments you just activate said feature. All mobs will leave you alone for the duration. The only downside is that you will return to being surround by 20 odd mobs and the leader yelling 'Lads we've got one over here' as they patiently wait for you to deactivate same feature :p
They could just make it that mobs like 30 levels below do not aggro you, it's pointless anyway when you get attacked by level 13 orc leader and pull a train because you are running for some quest.
Well, considering death during toilet break ... maybe not that pointless LOL
Yeah yeah, I accidently BSOE'd right when our trainer pulled a ton of mobs for us to AOE. Seen in party chat, "Didn't we have a gladiator here a minute ago...?" :o
One of my in game friends has a thing that he frequently does, especially around EV.
Me: Ok how about that mob over there near the side?
Friend: Sure lets go
Me: They're a bit close to the ..... where did you go???
Friend: Erm I'm down here
Me: *Peering over the edge of a cliff edge* Oh!

I knew what would happen and I smacked the little bastard anyway. :D I knew that he would hop into his golem, what I didn't know is that even if I didn't touch him I would still receive a raid curse. So I was unable to BSOE and had to hoof it out of there the old fashioned way. It was the only time when I had the Zariche that I felt powerless.
Back in C2, we tried taking the Devastated Castle with 6 people, we even thought we had a chance.
Inbetween Schuttgart and the Archaic Laboratory - incidently that's around the area where the blue mobs are I was talking about on the other post Champa
I'm not proud of this but what can I say... I paniced. And this is the price you pay for not playing Lineage for a while.
I sometimes like to solo in the catacomb / necropolis with my cat until he disappears. I was in a small room in the necropolis by partisan hideaway. It was an easy room, 4 mobs, easy to manage. But then one spawns too close to where I'm fighting 2, then the cat quickly dies.
Now I know the smart way to do this is to just stand there and die and not hurt anyone else in the dungeon but like I said before, I paniced. So I ran...thru 6 rooms trying to find the entrance. I finally find the big room before the entrance only to find a small party camped there. I shout as I'm running thru "RUN!" But I guess they thought they could take it, after all I'm alone and probably thought it was just a small group of mobs.
I stop at the exit to the room to turn and look back to see if the mobs were still following me. There must have been 10 - 20 mobs pouring into the room. I hightail it to the exit and click on the teleporter.
Boy, did I ever get alot of screams and curses sent my way. Ever since I haven't been back to a nec or catacomb. :o
Lol!!!! Exactly the experience I had with C5!!!!!
Fmea--I was an experienced 'raider' in C4. Maybe hundreds of successful raids--certainly OVER a hundred.
Our little group did 3-6 a night!
When C5 opened, I found RB's up EVERYWHERE. I pm'd a few game friends, we formed the usual group, we went to first lowbie boss..................and got slaughtered. Quickly.
So we regrouped, and went, of course, to a LOWER boss. And got slaughtered----quickly.
Not to be outdone, we went to a 3rd oss--then a fourth. We kept getting crushed by the new bosses.
Sometime in there even the most stupid among us figured out bosses had been drastically changed.
We formed 2 groups of players about the level of the boss we had targeted---and got crushed again. Twice.
What a shock that was!
I know where you're coming from!
Havent been playing that long, but had some fun experiences none the less.
New to the game and came across a raidboss. I had been warned that I didnt have a chance against them, but thought "Can a mob really be that hard to kill ??"
I guess it could 8/
Running around the entire dwarf-country for 1 hour because a friend pulled a joke on us.. So if someone tells you that NC-soft has an annual secret contest with great pricez, dont believe them..
Running to a low level cata with a mob 30 levels lower than you, chasing you.. Ignoring it only to "fall" down the water and seeing "xxx has hit you for 8 damage - You have died"
8/
Got a few ead-d scrolls on my first raid, and trying the setup-shop function for the first time.. Having no idea about prices I thought "maybe 5k is too high ? .. nah, ill try and just lower price if noone buys them" Turns out I sold them quickly .. .. go figure.. I was even happy that I made some extra money
8)
Out soloing in a secluded area and being overweight so hid 5k c shots on the ground close by. Not the best idea when server crashes 8/ . bye bye shots
Having a high level friend calling me out to rezz him. Rushing around in aden to find a seller of brez... Dont shop when you are in a hurry.. Most expensive normal rez-scroll I ever bought

Hmm back when I was in the mid-60s I was with a friend (BH with a Lance) doing the hatchling quest. We were killing spiders in cruma swamp, and mine were done, he had a lot left to kill, so I figured I'd help by pulling a train.
Anyhow, firstly the train got really big. Maybe much too big. Secondly, I got turned around and was running to the wrong location. Thirdly, windwalk wore off during the pull. Lastly, I clicked badly and got stuck on terrain for a brief moment. That little terrain mishap put the spiders in melee range.
Now, 7 damage from a monster is pretty trivial, but when you have forty or more of them all doing the same thing, it adds up. They also surrounded me and got me stuck between them, so I couldn't get out. And that was the story of the time I dropped my BW boots.
hmm when i played a SE few months back i whas duoing with a BD so i watch to the HP bar of the BD and watch and watched but did not heal ofcourse we both died
but after few months i still wonder what happend that i did not heal brainlock?
I confess to PLing my artisan using my BD. The Arti has gained 11 levels (24-35 so far) without hitting a single mob. The only purpose it serves at the moment is carrying shots.
Some time ago someone was shouting that they were selling BSOE for something like 700k. Under normal circumstances I would have realised that was over priced (Gustin server) but this particular evening I had a total brain blank. I got very excited by the price and pm'd the person to buy all 4 that they had. I insisted on a shop (didn't want to get ripped off!) and bought all 4. My b/f came upstairs and I proudly told him about my purchase. He looked at me like I was stupid and said "Mmmmm I think you're confused love, you bought BSOE overpriced not Blessed Rez at a bargain"
Doh!
And another brain blank happened recently.
I'd been playing my Wiz for several days and swopped to my Scavi. Whilst raiding I ran out of DSS. Someone gave me 1500 and we continued. After the boss died we decided to go our separate ways so I paid the person for the DSS - 85k! I was so used to using dbsps I worked out a cost on that plus a bit extra for helping me out. No wonder they were very happy
