I recall seeing some mobs like that in either forgotten temple or fields of silence outside heine. But it was a while ago so not 100% on either of those places.
This wouldn't happen to be for a certain quest, would it. That sounds very familiar. I keep wanting to say it's for the 3rd occupation quest...but I need to be certain.
go out of HV and head tward the tunnel on the way to the oren area. instead of entering the tunnel, turn left and keep going as straight as you can, there will be a little camp to your left, and a path that goes to forgotten path. after that you will see a grassy ramp on the side of a hill with little rocks along the edge, go up that. they do, indeed, have two heads, because they are greedy and wont share with me.
The Lakins are outside of Hunter's village, just south... where the quest trees are for hatchlings. They look like Grandis, but have two heads, if i remember .... they are with some spiders and dragons... forget the specific names of them... They drop blood medusas too :)
If you come out of the Hunter's village towards the tunnel, then turn left and go down (instead of right and thru the tunnel) and pass thru the Bugbears and orcs and up a little path and keep going, that is where the Lakins are.
Well I dont know when they did it but since c4 the quest pins and arrow guides have IMMENSELY improved. I used to have to use quest guides and get lost constantly. Since C4 I highly recommend keeping the quest menu open and using the in game arrows and pins its fantastic.
