I got to thinking last night after spending 5 and a half hours grinding non stop on Pronghorn groups in Frozen Labs which have only just gone Green Con to my WS at lvl 60.
In five and a half hours of killing 7 mobs per group i was able to gather 187 Medals and 7 Glittering Medals.
Now it takes me roughly 1 min to buff every round, have to buff 3 people and i went to make a cup of tea every 2 hours.
To kill a group it takes me less then 25 seconds and as i pointed out, they have only just gone Green con to me and repop very fast. I kill a group and then kill a Frost Spider which also takes roughly 25 seconds, the area they are in is so close in proximity that i barely have to run anywhere, if i have to run at all. By the time i have killed the spider the Pronghorn is repopping.
Now to get a Stage 12 SA Crystal i need to gather 714.28 Medals a day over the next 14 days.
Is this even humanly possible, you know if i dont play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Clarify " not alone though ", cause like i said, im killing 7 mobs in less then 25 seconds every 40 seconds, how could you kill any faster, this is with 0 downtime unless buffing.
If your saying a clan or a group of friends save up there Medals and spend them on a Stage 12 SA Crystal, why would everyone sacrafice there Medals when they can use them for themselves? I mean there is alot of stuff there that doesnt cost alot that you could potentially sell for alot of money or deck out some alts or even your main and not even have to spend 10 - 12 hours a day grinding which wouldnt even result in enough medals at the end to buy a Stage 12 SA Crystal anyways.
Half of the idea of these events is to supply low level players with an item that has a value to higher level players. Go buy your medals, that's what I'm planning to anyway.
I've been up sence 1am, so 12 hours now I got about 300+ of them farming mostly in cem with a archer. stoping verious times for many different reasons.
it is possible but very very hard to do...I really don't think I'm be able to get my lvl 11 SA.

At 5k a pop on Kain, i dont think so. That was like...hours ago i checked that probally higher now. People had Glittering Medals for 250k each.
You lost me a bit also, how does a suppling a lower toon a item that has value to a higher level player work? Because i mean, he cant use it until he is a higher level anyways to where it becomes of value also to him.....

Why would 4 or 5 full groups of people (from several different clans) band together to try and level crystals off of a raid boss if not everyone gets something? The mentality of some people in this game is just amazing (not in a good way).
Proberbly means pooling your medals with others to buy one, rather then people trying to get one EACH.
Ok lets put some more maths in this to wake people up.
It will take 4 people basically to save up enough medals to get a Stage 12 SA Crystal, now lets say they sell that Stage 12 SA for 100'000'000 and spilt it four ways, they get 25'000'000 each.
Mind you, this is IF 4 people can gather enough medals to fill 715 medals a day. Which i highly doubt because where are your friends? Grouped with you.
Now dont get me wrong here, i dont expect the entire servers to just all of a sudden be overflowing with Stage 12 SA's, but how many people have to sacrafice their Medals to buy 1 person they're SA?
Id be guessing and have to say that 10 people would have to pool there Medals, players that play 6 - 7 hours a day.
So when you look at it like this, is 10 people willing to give up they're medals for one persons SA on their weapon?
OR
Do you think they will use there Medals for themselves and wait until next raid to upgrade their own Stage 12 Crystals?
why would everyone sacrafice there Medals when they can use them for themselves? Because its like a get in line mentaility that if people cant get used to or understand, shouldnt be playing this game.
Would you join a clan and just expect to jump straight to the front of the line for a Stage 1x crystal? WOuld you leave after they didnt give you one on the first raid you attended? Would you get angry if they kept pushing you to the back of the line because you arent as active as some other people in the clan?
Besides, you act like only one person gets a SA on a Raid, when if you have a decent raid leader, you can get 9 people SA's, you do it every week, and you will have everyone happy in no time.
5k a pop!?!?!? I'd buy 50,000 medals! 5k means a stage 12 is 50 M...they are going for 70-90 M on Hindemith. That's a HUGE turnover in profit.
Glittering medals will be worth 1 adena by the end of the event, be patient or pool your glittering with another player. If only one of you levels up, then you can each turn in through that player and use half the number of glit medals that two of you would need.
You are not intended to go farm 10k medals on your own and get a lvl 12 soul crystal. Regular farming in an event should not earn you a 90 M item. As a matter of fact, you should not earn 1k medals. An event putting 5-9 M in your pocket is the reason prices get out of hand.
Lower level players see far less reward from the event. It is more profitable for them to sell a medal for 5k and then buy a D weapon enchant on the market. For these reasons, all the low lvl players that earn medals should sell theirs or trade them with high lvl players for what they would normally get from the event cat...and get a better deal out of it.
It sounds like you expect to solo like normal during this event, and be handed a stage 12 crystal when it's over. Ummm, how about no.

I still don't get your point. If a clan is able to gather enough medals for even one level 12 crystal and sells it, that's free money. Or if they give it to the next person in line, that's one less needed.
I've never joined a clan expecting gear. Never. However, when someone says they need a boss for their subclass, everyone jumps up to help. What's in that for me?
5k a pop!?!?!? I'd buy 50,000 medals! 5k means a stage 12 is 50 M...they are going for 70-90 M on Hindemith. That's a HUGE turnover in profit.
I already stated that this was hours ago and im not heading back to Giran to check it, it was like 8 hours ago they were 5k and ive no doubt they have increased.

Glittering isnt the problem, well i suppose it is if you cant simply farm enough to take enough shots at getting to the highest level badge to get the SA in the first place.
OR
If you fail trying to upgrade too many times.

Yeah this would work if majority of the new players rerolling werent from Clans that are going for Clan lvl 8.
In thereoy works great, in partical, no.
It sounds like you expect to solo like normal during this event, and be handed a stage 12 crystal when it's over. Ummm, how about no.
It looks like you need to learn how to read and once again how you take things out of context, im offering numbers here, not a wish list.

Because unlike the event they can keep on doing it.
SithMaster hit it on the head. Low level players win by selling their medals and making adena to buy the gear they need. High level players win by setting up buy shops and (hopefully) getting the 10k medals they need to upgrade the gear they have.
On Lionna, the Blue 12 is going for over 100m. Setting up buy shops for anything less than 10k per medal would be profitable with today's market. I was tempted to do this, but then I had a bad thought: what happens when a bunch of people have shops set up for high prices and I can't quite get the 10k medals? I would really hate to be stuck with 9500 medals at the end of the event.
I think I'll just sell my medals, and buy a Blue 12 when (if) they come down in price a bit.

He did? Hmmm, i dont about your server but about the only low level players on Kain are all the high level clans rerolling and stuffing as many new toons into their academys and PLing them to 40 to level their clans up......
Only thing he hit on the head was reminding us that this game needs a fresh something, to attract new players because there is none, only "you know who" in lower level areas.

I was beaten a bit but.
A medal is worth the same to a low level player as a high level player, they even drop the same rate. Both players can sell their medals, but 10k each is *much* more to someone who's still in bone gaiters at level 24 than someone who's 61++ and wants to imbue their a-grade weapon.
This works out well - imo - because low level/poor players will be earning money, while high level/rich players will be spending it.
No, wildrain, you do imply your intentions by selecting the most expensive reward on the list. What you fail to acknowledge is the fact that you earned 200 medals while hunting for 5 hrs...and this is enough to start recieving rewards. By focusing on a stage 12 crystal and suggesting that you can't solo for it by the end of the event...then suggesting that it is too expensive to buy medals to fill in the gap...you have demonstrated your intent to complain that the event droprate isn't high enough for your desires. Then again you always seem like a glass half empty kinda guy.
How about you hunt for 5 hrs and recieve no medals? You got something, it cost you nothing, and it will help you. If you wanna b1 tch about that, kindly hand me your even medals.
SirE, that's just Un upset about all the hotchat he catches on her PC.

Like Lord said, its because unlike the event, they keep doing raids, every week.
Like i said, it would potentially take 10 people to save up for 1 SA, there fore not worth it too anyone really because they lose out themselves on stuff they could of purchased OR used themselves.
Is it safe to say only one type of people will benefit out of this in reguards to buying the SA's?

Only proves how well he can take things so extermelly out of context when i dont even have a A grade weapon to put the SA on yet.... ;)

o.O Your clannie getting a stage 12 isn't helpful? Sell him medals at slightly under market price so he gets a cheap crystal and you get adena. Win-Win.

Yes this is true, but that theroy would work well if there was a abundance of players in the lower level part of the game, which there isnt besides high level clans rerolling lower level toons to put into the academy and level their own clans up which guess where the Medals go? To their mains.
Then you and the guy next to you can't get to an SA crystal. When it becomes more profitable to sell your medals than keep them, you sell them and get closer in adena to the SA through the regular market. Either way, the event gives you "networth" you didn't have before it. Some people will buy medals to get a crystal, others will sell medals to get adena to buy a crystal. It's all relative.
Wouldn't the event be kinda broken if each and every one could farm lvl12 SA's without much trouble anyways? I could imagine some pretty ****** people who just spent 80 mill on their lvl12 days before the event was announced.
Our clan is working hard to organize so that the people who need the medals can get them. At the moment, reaching our goal of equipping everyone who needs the SA's without buying an atrocious amount of medals seems very realistic.

Your looking at it the wrong way, i seriously doubt there is many people outside of a Clan that can farm Stage 12 SA that would pay 100 million for these SA's ( Kain Price ).
EDIT - That dont go through illegal ways to obtain ingame money of course.

It seems very realistic huh? Well i just ran to Giran to check the price of Medals here and there upto 20k each, so yeah, i can see how its realistic......

What's a player with a top A-grade weapon doing without a clan? :<
The only way (sans the event) to get level 11+ SA's is to do raid bosses or to buy them. I don't see how the unclanned player is worse off during this event than he was before.
He could still farm a portion of the medals himself and buy the other portion. That's still a huge wad of cash saved.
What can you exchange medals for that, on your server, has a greater value than 20k per medal? If nothing, the medals are a 20k adena drop. 10x adena from a mob sounds pretty **** good.
He could still farm a portion of the medals himself and buy the other portion. That's still a huge wad of cash saved.
You cant save money from it at all, you just cant look at it like that unless you and your clan do 100% of the collecting yourself, which its good to see that you are going to do that, but i wouldnt be expecting many clannies to get a SA.
If you get 2 SA's, then yep, good stuff, thats two less you need, but not a big deal seeing if you have enough people online actively to help you farm 2 SA's via the event, you have enough people to raid every weekend, providing of course those people log in to raid.
Like i said man, 20k each medal on Kain, if you say for example farmed 1000 medals solo in the 14 days, you still wouldnt save money if you buy the rest. Thats still 180'000'000 when the SA itself is only worth 100 million or so.
This is only the first day of the event too.....i expect to see the prices climb even more yet, Glittering is still at 250k though so people must be paying it.

Yes im not arguing that its not a top money earner, but who in their right mind is going to pay twice the amount for anything in the Event brokers?
I mean lets be realistic here Sith, 20'000 x 3'000 ( EWA ) = 60 million, think about it now.
I think people at those levels would be intelligent enough to see this.

Why not sell the 1000 medals for 20k each then? That's 20 mill earned for absolutely nothing. It's money right in your lap.
If you need an SA, you could just put that 20 mill towards it and consider it 20 mill saved.
At 20k per medal, it is a LOSS to turn in 10k medals for a 100 M item. If that is the event reward you want, now it only costs 5k medals for you to afford it.

100 M / 20k = 5k medals
If I were you, I'd hope the prices kept going up
100 M / 20k = 1k medals!
You should have that in 5 days!
Yes, IF you can sell them.
Its one thing marking them at that price, its another thing selling them at that price.
On a side note, if the prices keep going up, it only gives me more room to under cut them to a point where i probally will make a killing of it.
IF? If everyone is so desperate for medals because they are so hard to farm (which is as your posts suggest) then undercutting the market price 10% should cause everyone to come running to you. IF you can't sell something for market value, then that isn't really the market value.
Ok, that settles it, I'm rerolling on Kain. Either Adena is falling from the sky like rain water or everyone in that server failed basic arithmetic. Either way I still make more money there than on any other server.
I can't believe that anyone in their right mind would pay that much for medals and still expect it to go up more. Heck let the drop rates stay low, I'm going to make a killing on a lowbie with no gear :).

I never said they were hard to farm, there hard to come by in large amounts unless you play 24 hours a day is what i was saying and its exactally what i said.
The problem is not selling it for market value, the problem is trying to percieve something as worth more then market value to make money of it, which is the case here. People blindly forking out large amounts of cash for something they will potentially pay a great deal more for then the person sitting down selling it for market value price. ( totally based of what server your from of course )

Hey now, some of us out there ARE new players and this bit of advice about selling the medals I find is good for me. I don't have zillions of adena so every leg up I can get is valuable. It didn't even occur to me that someone else might want to buy the medals but now that I know, I can gather 'em up and sell them off to fatten my bank. To me that's wonderful.
So don't assume there aren't new players out there just because you haven't seen them. We're out there and some of us live for tips like this one.

I dont think basic arithmetic is the problem, well, to a certain point.
You have to also remember that the Pollen event is so much different in the aspect, you just dont know what your going to get, you could pay more then what you acually earnt from a pollen.
Here you can see what your going to get based on how many medals you have, so people just hand it over cause they know 100% they will get what they want, but one would think that basic arithmetic would come into it and they would say, " hang on a sec, im paying more then its worth at market value, wth??? ".
The question is this, yes alot of people have them set at 20k, but are they selling them? Thats the question.
Reality will strike the medal market soon and medal prices will fall just as it always has with events. There is only 1 item that matters when setting the value of the medals: Stage 12 soul crystals.
Market price [on Kain] is 90m to 100m on these crystals just prior to this event. So the MAXIMUM VALUE of a medal is 100e6 / 10e3 = 10,000 adena. This is the maximum value. Soon, it will become obvious (as with the last medal event) that you just can't get these medals on your own and shops will begin selling medals for 10,000 and less. Price cutting will occur then people will begin buying medals, turning in for SA12 and then you will see SA12 selling for < 100m. Ad infinitum. After a week you will see medals for < 6000 and SA12 for < 60m. In fact, at the last medal event by the end SA12 price had dropped in half. So my prediction is SA12 will be less than 50m by the end of this event.

Actually, that's not true at all.
You have to take the value of EVERY item and divide it by the number of medals to figure out the best return value per medal. It is possible that a B weapon enchant on the server could sell for some absurd value (let's say 8 M just for kicks). In this case, the ONLY item worth getting is a B weapon enchant. Sell the enchants and buy the SA crystal you are looking for.
However, most of the medal values are actually disproportionate to the stage 11/12 crystal values (duh raid farmers and large clans control the stage 11/12 source...no competition = overpricing). So while your conclusion is correct, be careful about the assumptions you state. If people start overpaying for pink party masks, I'll buy one.
Actually, I did factor that in and when I looked at the ratios of item value to # of medals the SA12 was driving the highest value for medals by a large margin (SA11 being the next highest value). The enchant scrolls on Kain [EWB/A] would drive medal value to only 2,000 to 5,000 adena per medal and the other items are significantly lower, including the party masks. Strangely, EWD/C drive medal values higher than EWA/B but still quite a bit lower value than the SA11/12. Likewise, the BSOE, BREZ and potions all would drive medal values of less than 2,000.
I play on Kain and in Giran they are being priced between 9K-11K. The 20K figure is totally blown out of proportion. Honestly, if you could set up a buy shop for say 6K you would rake in plenty of medals to afford a LvL12 SA crystal. and it would be significantly cheaper than current market value. If you cant afford 60 Mil then too bad so sad. I don't see what the fuss is all about, it is not impossible to manage if you put some effort into it. I just don't see this event as a means to have high value items thrown about to anyone and everyone.

TY for bringing some truth. Wildrain loves to come lie out his *** on the boards. Crybaby syndrome.
1. You can still get medals. And make alot of money doing so, please stop complaining, the event is great.
2. Its perfectly possible for ONE person to get a level 12 crystal legitly even without buying alot of them.
Get out there and grind, so what if you can't get a level 12 crystal, get something else, save it for next year or buy more.

He is refering to the one maybe two stores in Giran that are set up for 9 - 11k and have 0 left.......Notice he didnt really say there wasnt any stores selling for 20k? Taking it out of context again i see Luke, you truely are a master of the context.
There is about 15 - 20 stores in giran with hghfgfhfgf names that are selling for 20k and up now, last 4 i seen had increased their price to 25k.
So before u speak Luke, come to Kain and see for yourself instead of assuming stuff as usual.
Also who is crying here luke? I was offering a stat value on how many medals it would take and how long it would take, nothing to complain about here, its your mentalility that fails to serve you.
There are shops on Hinde selling medals for 40k as well, but that doesn't mean that are their market value.
At least on hinde, there are buy shops for 5k and sell shops for 6k that don't sell or buy within even an hour. That's a pretty good indicator of what the price range is.

The same deal on Kain, just checked. Wildrain is full of it.

Yeah im full of it, i think its safe to say we all know how long it takes to BUY stuff through a buy shop, as a test Luke set one up and go afk for 6 hours and come back and tell me how many medals you buy for 5 - 10k when you already acknowledge that people are asking upwards of 40k for them.
Yes you are correct Tarun, that doesnt make them there market value, but it gives people the incentive to not want to sell to buy shops for that price when they see a multitude of other people selling for a much larger price when they can just set them up themselves for that price and hope they sell some.
Id rather set my medals up for 20k each and under cut the "percieved" market value of the medals by 100% then sell them for 5k each to a Buy shop........
I think you will agree with me here Tarun, the buy shops buying for 5k doesnt mean thats their market value, and most of the time, it could be just people trying to buy low sell high, which is also not uncommon.
Also Tarun, i think you will also agree with me here, why would you sell your medals for 5k when you and I both know that there will be 5k buy shops the entire time this medal event is running when you could potentially sell medals for 20k each?
I found sell shops on YOUR server for 6-7k all over Giran. Not sure where you are shopping. My buyshop for 5k got about 150 in 3.5 hrs. My sellshop for 15k has sold zero.
Sorry i didn't read whole thead. I ended in the middle, and just looked at some alst posts - coz i didn't handle Wildrain 'problems with event'... Just one comment. MMO are designed to work as group mostly. So they (group of ppl) can archive higher goals working together. Aloso for newbie this event is gold of mine, coz for 30 minutes of playing and you have money for top NG weapon (in 30min my younger brother get 28medals on his 17lev toon). So after 2 weeks such a noobie can gear itself in D grade stuff or even better. All for nothing. He hunting like usually.
Anyway i just like to refain a little to Biotox max price for medal. Generally I agree with SithMaster on that matter. But i think you forgot about one thing. On various servers we have various situation, so on current one, some item can be **** hard to buy - so it's value going higher.
On Bartz we had such a situation with SC 11lev. You could but 12/13 lev. But buying 11lev was almost impossible for some time. Their market value where something like 70-80mln (in that time 12lev costed 110). But item is worth the price that current person willing to pay. So in this case if someone had money, 11lev. crystal was worth more than 12lev - just because you coudn't buy them.
So simply 12lev crystal in this event = 2x 11lev crystal.
From 12lev you get ~~120mln, from 2x11 lev you get 140-160mln.
It's all about demand and supply relation.
Gezzz where did you came form ppl?
He did little typo, he meant SC 11lev. Can't you read? If you don't have anything interesting to write then don't write anything at all plz.

A little typo? the numbers 4 and 1 are a fair distance apart, you realise this right and not to mention, its not 44, its 4.
Last night on Kain in Giran there were at least 2 shops with a over 2000 medals for SALE at 7000 each. I still didn't buy them because I am convinced that in 1 week I will be able to buy at 5000 max.
To test this I set up a buy shop and guess what? I bought 2500 medals in one night at 5000 adena. I also bought 80 glittering medals at 10000 each (which is still way overpriced but I'm impatient and wanted to get my wolf badge which I did).

Im acually surprised you bought Glittering at 10k each, i tried for 10k and bought 0, bought a heap of Medals at 5k though.
woot!!! in 3 hours play last night I got 18 medals :-)
/wrist
drop rate on franz is insane low , but after 2 days u see shops in gludin with 12k + medals ....
i have no idea how much people can play on 1 server but u can see in 1 little round from startertowns to gludio ++ 1000's of this "hgfhgfhgf" toons, that may explains where those amounts come from, lol (7day accs ftw, nc?)
btw , on franz u pay 1k for a medal... but no1 except some "automated realpeople" have enough adenas to buy huge amounts ;)
~340 medals in like nonstop grinding by now... may i got some more luck at the farmers.
FakeDeath brings alot fun back to the game on our "special npc server" , lolz

And besides, yeah we can read.
Actually the 4 is one key above the 1 if you use your numeric pad. But I must say that you whine way too much about dumb stuff. Get over it, grind it out or buy em up, complaining will not get you any closer to you lvl 12 SA crystal. It CAN be done and it has been proven that it can be under current market value. Not only that but you can get it cheaper than 50 mil if you only set up a shop in a good location. It's not that complicated, but apparently it must be too much for you to handle.

okay okay some backround on my comment... you see if you read the Hinde posts, you will know that Luke like's to nit-pick at people posts... grammar.... bla bla bla , and I'm sure he will agree with me on this ;) so i was poking a little fun at him for what he wrote........ dont assume that I or other people are morons...... yeah i read the thread and figured he meant 11 , however , like it was said before 1 and 4 are very far appart... so who knows.... because like everyone knows I can read everyone's mind !!!
/sarcasm on
sorry for pointing out that he made a mistake .
/sarcasm off
the " if you dont have anything nice to say at all thing" what makes you so special that it doesnt apply to you ?
Gezzz where did you came form ppl? ...Can't you read?
oooooohhhhhhhh that's right . your a hypocrit !!!
my bad!

Good luck
Who is complaining? I sure as hell wasnt. I was offering numbers on how long and how many medals you would have to farm on a daily basis to be able to afford the SA 12.
Now if you buy them at 5k each, then yeah, you can easily make 10'000 not a prob, like last night, i bought 3257 Medals at 5k each from my buy shop.
Now on the other hand, 715 medals a day is pretty hard to make adventuring, even with friends helping. I'd say that it would take 4 people to save up for a Stage 12 that dont play 24/7.
You can tell Wildrain has no point, when his argument starts attacking typos. I think, with time, the value will settle in at just short of 9k adena on Hinde. Buyshops sare still moving medals quickly though. And while wild was buying medals for 5k as he says, you can read earlier he claims medals were 20k. Proof he was just spouting crap...like in every thread he touches.
I got my SA yesterday :) I bought most medals at 5-6k and farmed a few myself. Overall my lvl11 SA came out at about 25 mill which is almost half price of what it normally is.

Luke, your reading comprehension disability is quite scary, its acually amazing how you can take things so out of context it just isnt funny.
20k sell shops is a big difference to 5k buy shops is all i can say.......
By the way, you fratinise me about attacking you for typos? Wow thats the pot calling the kettle black just a tad......as also pointed out by someone else here in this very thread.
No, I merely point out you bring up no other points. I have yet to see a 20k sellshop on your server. Seems all of them are far far less.
LOL im standing in giran now looking at 8 20k Medal shops as i type this........i also see 3 35k medal shops, and yeah i see a few, less then 3 that are selling for 7k and two of those are sold out, the other has like 3 left, which is surprising acually for someone to have 3 left, so i bought them myself.
That's funny cause I just hunted around town and the average price is about 8k...on your server. Which version of Kain are you playing?
See, there he goes again, does anyone see where i have said that the only price for them on Kain is 20k?
I mean who gives a [censored], really, that wasnt the point to this thread at all.
What is the point of this thread then? All I've seen is you spout out numbers and equations that have no merit. The 20K figure is only applicable if you are dumb enough to buy 10,000 of them at that price. Flashing numbers doesn't make you any smarter, it just plain confuses people.

Thats the problem, it had nothing to do with economics at all. People chose to take it out of context that far......besides, people who derail a thread and then the people who only read the last few posts in a thread confuse themselves.

You didn't answer the question. What is the point of this thread? If everyone seems to derail or take it out of context, maybe you should clarify what you are trying to accomplish and then we can stay on topic. I've read this Thread from top to bottom 2 times and I don't see a point. Please clarify.
I think what he's getting at is that the event is useless because the medals are too rare. This is what we disagree with because few medals > no medals.
In my own case I wouldn't be able to farm the medals needed for my SA, but the event still allowed me to get the crystal for almost half of normal price.

No, my point wasnt that is was useless.
My point was, how many people were willing to give up there medals to help 1 person get a Stage 12 SA if you were not to buy any medals at all when you could just do a raid boss and get one for free and save your medals.
As pointed out by numerous people, it is impossible to adventure 10'000 medals solo unless you had medals saved from last years event, which to my knowledge, last years event didnt even have Stage 12 SA's in it.
Now considering this, the possibility of this event being ran next year is pretty high, and the possibility of the medals rewarding stage 13 and EWS and EAS is also high, so why would you waste your medals when you could ethier sell them for cash and get a Stage 12 SA for free.
Now if your reply is going to be, whats a solo person with no clan doing with a A grade weapon in the first place, then thats exactaly right, whats a A grade person doing with A grade gear that cant raid in the clan he is in, or most importantly, dont raid? Catch my drift with out spelling it out in fear of getting the thread locked?
So to answer populaters question, my point to this thread was acually a question, as you will see in the OP, i was asking if it was humanly impossible to farm 10'000 medals. I was not asking if it was humanly impossible to buy 10'000 medals, thats where it got taken way out of context.
My point then became why would you sell your medals for 5k each when you could potentially get 4 friends, save up 10k medals, buy a Stage 12 SA, sell it for 90 million and spilt it 4 ways.
4 x 2'500 = 10'000
2'500 x 5'000 = 12'500'000
90'000'0000 / 4 = 22'500'000
That became my point after asking a question which was derailed.
To which I would say - if one person could farm an SA12 for himself, the event would be broken.
God forbid should you donate the medals to a clan member to help him get his SA. That's what I'm doing now after I bought mine.
I saved my clan trouble by sorting my own SA and I saved like 20 million by doing it during the event.
You don't "just do a raid boss to get the SA" these days. There is a reason they're 40/80/130 mill a pop.
My point was, how many people were willing to give up there medals to help 1 person get a Stage 12 SA if you were not to buy any medals at all when you could just do a raid boss and get one for free and save your medals.
Last medal event I purchased a Blue Stage 12 from the cats. So, yes it was offered.
To which I would say - if one person could farm an SA12 for himself, the event would be broken.
But you have to ask how broken would it be considering it takes one person to save up 100'000'000, and if you play Giran market well, it really doesnt take that long to make it now days. Before you say it, yes i understand not everyone likes to sit in Giran for days on end and play the market, but sometimes its worth it.
You don't "just do a raid boss to get the SA" these days. There is a reason they're 40/80/130 mill a pop.
That has always been the prices, pre C5 and post C5, the prices do not reflect how hard the raids are or have become, the prices reflect how much certain people want to set it for, simple as that, because we all know who sets the prices on this game, right?
I wasn't indicating that SA's are more expensive in C5 because of raids, I was saying that SA's have been expensive ever since the farmers monopolized them, hence it's not something you "just go and get".
I've been wanting my SA for what, 3 or 4 months? If I could "just go and do a raid" for it, trust me I would have.
LOL the farmers didn't start doing Lilith for months. I raided for over 90 SA crystals before it became difficult to get her. The intial prices were cheap...because A grade weapons were rare. Now everyone and his brother can afford a 50 M A weapon. The difficulty has become the SA because 99% of the server is 61+ on some toon. So you now have some individuals desiring 4 or even 5 weapons with A grade SA and doing so legitly. Then you have people blowing up weapons as well. Of course theyre expensive, the game can only produce a max of 108 a month excluding baium. As demand rose, so did the price, and THAT is why the farmers locked it down, not because farmers control prices. The farmers disappear for weeks at a time on our server, and prices don't change one bit. The farmers got banned on Hindemith, SA crystals simply stopped being sold.
