to buy or not to buy

Hi guys, I'm a new player and I'm thinking of adenas.
I've made 2 big time thougths around the adena point, and I'd like to share them with you all :P

tought n. 1: sparing adenas is useless; i'm gonna invest them all on those first levels (i'm 19 atm) in SS and healing potion, so I can level faster, kill mob faster, and gain MORE adenas. I'm taking TP to the location where i farm and I'll use TP scroll to goback in town and sell stuff/take quest reward. I'll be quick, and the expenses will be covered by the surplus of mobs im going to kill in this "adena-buffed" way.

tought n.2: I'm goind to spare even the single adena. Level after level. Even if I kill slowly, I'll try to obtain the more I can to buy as fast as I can the uber weapon. This way, as fast as I can reach the top grade weapon, I'll be much more powerful than on tough n.1

What do you think about my schizofrenic strategies? :)
Seriously talking, what's the best economic strats in your opinions?
First one who says "buy adenas on ebay" gets some bad words :P :P :P
the best way to economise your adenas without sacrificing levelling speed is with Haste and no Soulshots use.

so spend only your adena on ALACRITY or SWIFT ATTACK potions.

and heal potions :p

scrolls are no need, you can get them from drops just as fast as use the 5 minute escape.
but don't they cost lot more than the SS, at least the no-grade or d-grade ones?
Also: what is the 5 minute escape?
Thank you!
/unstuck <-- the 5 minute escape scroll.

alacrity potions cost 3k. 1000 SSNG = 8k.

choose.
Also instead of going after white or yellow conning opponents go after mobs that are green or light blue to you. You can go without SS and less down time because they don't hit you as hard.
well I think alacrity will last for a while :) never used one!
Thank you again for the hint, alacrity FTW!

Hmmm... Well.. I think you can RUN back to a starter town in under five minutes, so I wouldn't use the /unstuck.

And the Haste pot only lasts 20 minutes, at high cost for a new player. As a new player, you get the 'soul shots for novices' for free from NPCs (newbie guide usually, varies with what race you picked) and there is usually a quest that gives 5,000 or 6,000 more.

Be SURE to get the Adventure's weapon from the Event Cat (the one with the fan!) You need to be level 6, I think, and you can pick a very good (free) weapon. This NPC only stays until Oct 5th (disappears early on Oct 6th,) so hurry.

To max adena, pick on green mobs, use one or two shots per mob and kill it without further shots (don't waste a shot to kill a mob with only a sliver of HP left.)

Low level characters get a 30-40 HP bump as soon as they sit down. If you sit and then stand quickly, you lose almost no time, but get a quick charge of HP.

And, right now, you get Event-Medals from the mobs. These can be sold to players if you dont want to turn them in yourself. Prices have not stabilized on these yet. Hold them until you get a good feel for the correct price to sell, but they disappear on Oct 10th.

no event item dissappears. ever. not until administration DELETES THEM.

the weapons are free for life. you get them, they wont dissappear not evena fter getting a PK point. theu just unequip until you undo that pk point.

you can get free weapons NG and D grade until oct 3. then the EVENT CAT dissappears. not the weapons. they stay.
my advise is to lose adena and gain xp
then gain adena and lose xp
you can earn alot more money in 5 minuets in town then you can in several hours of hunting
ehr... nameless I dont get your hint... :)
thank you all for the priceless suggestions!
What nameless is referring to is there are two ways to grind in this game.
1. to gain xp
2. to gain adena
Rarely can you do both at the same time.
thanks :)

I would invest adena in SS (get the free ones from npc first), healing pots and scrolls.
With SS you will able to kill 2 times faster, dealing double damage.
Remember to use the manor manager as soon as you can, you will get materials as rewards for the fruits you will turn in, and sell them to players to get good money.
don't forget to consider what the mobs drop! some of the very low level recipes (for example) sell for 20-50k each and have fairly high drop rates. materials such as bone and iron, while not worth much to the shop or to the buy stores you'll see around town, actually sell for some fairly decent coin.

when you are in town, take a few minutes to look through the different shops set up around the area. turn on your shout chat and see what people are looking to buy. this should give you an idea of what might be worth hunting for.

also, whatever you do, check out the quests for whatever hunting region you're in. stratics has terrific writeups for the vast majority of the quests, and oftentimes you'll find that the very mobs you are hunting can give you additional rewards as well. it might seem low (60a per mob for some of the quests) but if you kill 100 you just gained yourself the money for two alacrity pots, without having to put out any of your own cold hard cash. :)
