Weapon drop in C5

Do they happen ?

So who has had a full weap drom so far?
And armor ?

Not me personally but a friend ran out of goddard killed 2 antelopes'and got a tallum blade (lucky bastard)

Hunted continuously since C5 during my play time--no selling, chatting, raiding after the first day.
Not one full drop (outside of low crap around starter point for new toons on Franz).
None.

As for killing 2 antelopes and getting a tallum blade? That's "so lucky" it's literally unbelievable.

Perhaps its just a sign of the times but I hear everyone of these stories as:

"I went on-line and bought adena for in-game, I got the adena, now I have to make up some almost plausible reason so you all won't know I cheated....."

Hey! What do I know. Maybe your friend did hit the "A blade Lottery" in-game. I suppose it has to happen eventually.
Btw--the website I use for drop-rate information has never had a confirmed report of a tallum blade from an antelope.

On the first day of C5 I got blue wolf leather when doing aoe in ascetics. My friend who hasn't had a drop like.. ever.. got tallum gloves a couple days after that.

Haven't heard about any full weapon drops yet. Still a bit early for that.

I got a crucifix of blood drop.

I've also had a friend who killed two Cave Beast while waiting for a group in DVC and getting a Keshanberk back in C3... some people are just lucky. <.<

I've gotten no full item drops in C5, C4, C3, C2...

I'm usually not a superstitious guy (I laugh at all the OE rituals people go through with), but the drop stuff has me wondering sometimes.

The first time I killed a floating eye south of Gludin I got a piece bone breastplate (big deal when you're like level 15 on your first char!), the first time I killed a stakato in cruma swamp I got a helmet, the first time we killed the miniboss near the center of garden of eva, we got (no joke) a full SLS. Half my clan were there to see it.

got a heavy bone club, just after we put all money together to buy a tarbar.

Full elemental sword drop, day one or two.

Best solo drop so far.. short spear/shortbow on my lowbie alt...

Have NEVER gotten a solo drop on any other char I use.

best solo drop ive gotten since closed beta, was a phx earring, never had a weapon drop

My clan leader got a DC helm drop off the grave ants doing a friends class change quest with him T.T my best solo drop was some lowbie weapon. Sold for 68k to the store ^.^

I just started getting drops within the last 3 months.. :p

Leveling alts for the academy, I've gotten a ton of drops. Glaive and Shilen Knife yesterday, 2 Single-Edged Jamadhr on the 2nd or 3rd day of c5.

I've gotten a bunch of low D armor drops with my knight. My old gladi never had such luck although I got Theca armor in a catacomb once. :D

2 tallum glaive drops on MoS.

I got a Body Slasher from a Shackle in DV; first weapon drop ive gotten since C1.

I haven't gotten a /single/ full weapon drop above Fox Claw Gloves. I have gotten PL gaiters and Mithril Guantlets though.

Dragon Slayer drop last night in Monestary

Since C5 I'v got Dwarven gaiters(C), Knights Shield(C) and Kris Dagger(B)

In C4 I got like 2 Elven Cross Bows, Full Plate Shield, and such.

My g/f and i got 2 Plate shields to drop on Alligator Island on consecutive nights, ironically we were going there to get the Plate Helmet parts for lower alts. 3 Helmet parts and 2 full-drop Plate shields..... thats either very lucky or very unlucky.

All i've gotten is shields, anywhere from aspis to avadon and all since C5, and some doom boots, not bad, but nothin more yet :(

C4 I keep getting Hoplon shields dropping, I have 3 now in my warehouse. I get them either from EG or Cruma swamp. And I got a Proof of Revenge drop in EG from one of the ghosts.

So full weap drops are happening in C5. I wouldn't have believed it.

Which chronicle have they not happened in? o_O

They happened all the time in Prelude I bet. o.O

Actually...drop rates on low level gear were much more rare in Prelude. C2 improved the low level full item drop rate (I think it was C2). So actually low level weapon drops are higher than ever :) People that complain about gear entertain me...they have no idea how ridiculous it was in the old days. Katana costs haven't changed since Prelude much...but man was that money hard to come by back then.
