I made my char on Bartz, but I mess up. I pick DE for the race; with that race I won’t be able to be a necro down the road.
I went to Del the toon, cant 7 days waiting period, lol.
I really want my name that I have use for 7 years.
I petition, GM said he couldn’t do it, and I lose my newbie bonus.
What really scares me, I am only 3, and according to the guides, I won’t lose it till I am 6. Gm did not know this?
Should I wait for the 7 days, or should I petition again and hope for a better GM?
One more thing, is there any guides for the UI? I am playing at 1920 x 1200 and the font is too small. I am using 24 " dell ws, and lowering it is not option, makes the game look bad. Can the chat window be move around?

go into game options and change the setting on the size... have to wait a few seconds for it to load, but after a few tries you should get it to the size you want.
also I choose to play in windows mode cause it's alot better then full screen. press ALT + enter.
then if you run out side programs like: aim, yahoo, MSN, or music you can tab into them with out having to tab out of the game.

I don't think any GM would delete your char from a petition just because you "chose the wrong race" .. if this were allowed, im sure there'd be many scammers trying to get away with the same thing by being able to instantly delete their chars and make new names.
Your options are most likely to: Wait until the char is deleted normally, or create the char that you want with a different name.
You could go to play on another server of course and not wait 7 days. Then if you hate that server you could always return to Bartz as your toon will be deleted at that time.

I don't think he was. He was merely stating what we all know. GM's don't delete toons because you picked the wrong race.
This has been discussed since prelude and every person that I know of who petitioned for a sex change, deleted character, name change, etc did not get one. Especially since most people "talk" and eventually it would get around. I can imagine a gm getting fired over such a thing.
