What % of healers/buffers are live?

What % of the healers or buffers are live people playing anymore? (not 2 boxed) Would you say 80% 90% maybe 20%? My guess is lower levels 1 to 50 still use live people. probably around 65% Higher level parties.. 60 to 75 I would guess less than 20% if even that. Seems like the higher level the party is the less likely the need for a live healer/buffer. Im talking for everyday XP. Im sure the numbers change for PVP/raid bosses. Be honest. Do you use a live healer/buffer in party (if so what lvl are you)or keep them out of party? (again what lvl are you) Curious on what the results are.
Bishops are mostly live
EEs are less live than bishops but still fine
SEs are boxed a lot, but there are a lot live SEs as well
Prophs are boxed except very few ppl
Winsum is a non-boxed, active Prophet :) they are still here!
Healers are mostly not boxed unless there's no live healer available at the time.

Buffers, except WCs, are usually boxed.

I'd say healers it's 70-30 live-boxed, buffers it's probably the other way around, and that's counting live WCs.
*Probably one of the last live SE's around, played as main*
I box a SE, lvl 75.

But I play her live to...but the proplem is that it's boring to play specailly in lage groups.

My last party with her, 9 man group started out fine then someone left a new player came in. the party lasted like 6 hours and I gained about 6-8%.(which for a lvl 75 is preatty good)

I think it's bordom and lack of offence that leave most to stop playing SE live unless it's needed at a raid... like How I'm do mine!
By that logic, every duo of healer and tank should be running around with seven boxed DDs... what fun is clicking assist once a minute?

Macro >
/target XX person
/assist
/atk(force atk)

this is the macro I made on the PTS when my clanie and I where farming in CoFP with zerachi...cause I couldn't party with him I'd just target him, assist then atk the mob.

1 botton did all that... let me be really lazy cause he was pulling 4-5 rooms at a time.
I play my SO live, most of the time say 90%. When a clan mate asks me to grind with my BD (because they are addicted to the dances) I bring my SO to collect some XP, hovever I like playing my SO soon to be SE it’s a nice change form my BD.
since real players that have two accounts sometimes play a healer "live" as a couple people here mentioned, its a hard thing to answer. playing a healer, at least for me, is exceptionally boring. like leveling a solo dwarf with a blunt and no ss boring. a better question might be "what % of players have more than one account"? of course it differs by server but i think its about 35-40% on devianne. the sad part is, the number of characters that this 35% has FAR outnumbers the number of accounts that the other 65% have. at least 3 to 1.
In my clan there are like 4 boxed buffers and 1 live. But it mouslt becouse we can't find any live to join our clan =(
Thanks for being honest Ledaa. I've played a healer since day1 of C1. I took a few months off and thought I would check out C5. All the higher lvl clans dont have need for a live healer/buffer unless its for a PVP or raid boss run. I cant tell you how many times I have gave shout "7X healer LFG" with no luck. Joined a clan and could never find an XP party. (was no need for me) When I was in party I felt like it was out of kindness. I think its time to retire this EE.
Moreso, the issue is that DDs don't party. They duo and one player has a box. I'd estimate 33% of players in L2 have a 2box. A duo with a 2box is some of the best exp in game. The real issue is too many players want to be invited to group and too few want to actually build it. When I build a party, it takes 15 minutes to make most of the time.

Instead of "SE LFG" shout for a tank bd and dd's. Work your way deeper in WoA as you pick up members and go to IT once you're full. It's not hard at all.

All the higher lvl clans dont have need for a live healer/buffer unless its for a PVP or raid boss run.

Not here.. We often go to places when a good healer is realy needed, or just places way above out level. And having a boxed SE as our main healer (an dalso the recharger for spoiler, sps and sometimes archers without a CS) or search for outside healers isnt all so good.. We just can't find any life ones to recrute..

My clan has 3 real SE’s 2 Proph’s and 1 EE and I will I prefer to duo with them any day of the week before I 2box. I think it’s more for the banter than anything. I would say if someone is 2boxing instead of duo’ing with a clan member they are being greedy because there is no difference in XP just that they are leveling there pet and not a clan member. I just don't get why your clan mates will not party with you unless your level is to high.
There is difference in exp.People box buffers out of group.

I play a live Prophet & currently still my main :)
Are clan has at least 2 live SE's & the BD has a boxed one. So right there alone is 3 live - 1 Buffer, 2 Healers. All in one clan! :p
There are lots of live buffers and healers out there...just not the appropriate number for what is needed. If the classes weren't absurdly pvp underpowered, they would be worth playing. No changes to which buffs or heals you have will fix this fact.

Thats why they are trying to fix it a bit, by giving healers & buffers a defensive skill against some classes, even if they aren't worth wild to have anyways.
(example: erase & mana burn) They are hoping, by giving these classes a defensive skill against other classes who it's weak to (PS/ES) that more people would play this class as live. (hard to box & use these skills at the same time)
As I said there are live buffers & healers out there, you will see most of them in a clan at this time, because they are a support class & thats where they are needed. :D
I think in the long run what it comes down to, is that some of us were just born to be healers/buffers. I've played an SE since I started L2, and one more than one server at that. I couldn't see myself playing anything but. However, with that said, I am realistically probably one of maybe 3-4 live "healers" in my entire ally. Do I like the fact that so many people have chosen to 2-box healer classes? In the long run, I'd have to say yes, cause more and more people are realizing at upper lvls the likelihood of actually dying with a live person in your party is a little bit less than with a 2-box. I don't ever have to wait for parties, and I rarely have to ask for one.

I play a live Prophet & currently still my main :)

And still recruiting Warcryers, Bishops and Elven Elders ;)
At least with bishops, which is my main and played live, you rarely see anyone boxing them. I only knew one guy that ever did it.

I'm looking at making a bishop next ;) lol
I have Prophet and SE both boxed and live depending on what I am doing at the time. I often take them on raids so then they are live. My SE is slowly going into retirement as she is on same account as my main and seems rarely needed for raids, my Prophet goes out with my main boxed most of the time.
My EE is my main, but I do have another account and sometimes powerlevel my alts with my EE. We've got quite a large number of live buffers/healers in my alliance (for the size), and not many two boxes that I know of.

A more interesting question in my opinion though, is how many of the two boxes are ex-mains, and how many are levelled specifically to be two boxes?

Well its more the idea of having acces to an SE-WC-EE-Bish at the same time :)

@ Larielle =
I think the majority of boxed SE's or Prophets is leveled up to be a boxed char.

Good question :)

My Prophet is still my main, but I currently am having more fun with my SH.
So eventually I will get my Prophet to 58 & then she will also become my alt, & my alt SH will become my main. It's said, but I find my Prophet gets boring (without her battle setup) & I can solo my SH fairly well. So if I'm online & my clan members aren't I will play my SH (solo class). If my clan members are online I will party with my Prophet. Eventually if my SH does catch up to my PP, I wont be using my PP for bigger groups anymore. :(
Well I used to be a live healer. . but. . I now two box her and level my spellsinger.

I'll play her occassionally if needed. . but she hasn't been needed :/

I would do the same for my PP & SH, but they are on the same acct. :p I kinda did it on purpose so I couldn't two box my PP.
SH does not need a PP to lvl up, they need a live SE ;)
My healers is alive :P, never bot LOL, but i do box them a lot, why? becose healers at higher lv is a rare bread, very rare in fact and the few who's get online is taken way fast ^^.

But I do then and then play my healer for sieges, raids, and the fort, my BH is not that much use for that after all.

My party usualy end up with an PS + me, then an boxed WC and my EE ^^.

My second account was created specifically to be "boxed" healers/buffers. It currently has a prophet, which I no longer play and my SE.
Live healers tend to be hard to find. Many groups never get off the ground because there is no healer. I made a boxed SE to help me level my SH subclass. Then I found it was useful when I was in a group on my main class. Many times my boxed SE is the only healer around. If we do find a live SE, then we use it as a healer, and use my boxed SE as a buffer.

I now also keep my boxed SE around if there are live healers. It often happens that once we are into a dungeon the live healer/buffers have to go. Without my boxed SE, the group would break up.

Also, sometimes I need to join a group in a dangerous place. Having buffs/heals to get me there is a big help for a WS.
my buffers live in the comp to the left

i count em to live, cuz thats real clients...
in dangerous situations i can root/heal/whatever or just run, hehe

i would prefer always a live healer, but they hard to find.
In an EE/PP duo... are those two boxed, or two live healers? ;D
My main is bishop (the live one, he-he).
Also I have boxed SE character for my alt wizard. He was live for some time when I had troubles finding a group for my main.
Now he's mostly boxed VR buffer...

There are 7 healers out of 40 clan members. All live. And like 3 boxed healers out of clan.

SH does not need a PP to lvl up, they need a live SE ;)

True thats why I'm waiting to group with Rainya ;) lol
I prefer a live SE anyways, I currently have a SO that I was ging to make into a SE to box with my SH. Then decided I like my little Cougar better & because of the lag, it's gotten harder to keep myself & my boxed char alive at the same time LOL
im live se...played as main... but only 72lvl
I am live SE, but currently I am more as support for my boxed academy students :)

im live se...played as main... but only 72lvl

Dont feel bad. Im a bishop as my main. Hes only 72 also and ive been around since prelude. Just rerolled a lot. xD

I am live SE, but currently I am more as support for my boxed academy students :)

Same, live EE but 2box for my academy younglings atm, together with my prophet too....and a so :p
Hate LFG beggings >.<
And hate beging a leacher..
Like Ledaa I dislike to have to beg for groups if my clan is "offline". If people look at my sign they would see I have a L7x SE. Even at the end of C3 I began to feel less usefull at the high-game end. The toon has more value as a boxed toon these days. Pity as I like my SE but that's just it.. Useless is boring.

These days I spent far more time playing my Necro/SH as I get to "do" stuff.

These days I allso spent more time on the tech-threads to (hopefully) help out people with computerstuff. But that's because I lack content in C5 altho some nice stuff was added. (Biggest reason I love playing PTS.)
A lot of people think i'm boxing when I hunt with my chars because I always have an SE tagged along. Well I ain't boxing, I have my PC and my GF has 2 PC's so it's mainly a case of her putting her SE or Prophet on for me to use (she still controls it for heals/buffs) while she plays on her main on the other PC.

Granted most people do box these days, it's effective and I don't care if they do, botting is something else and that I don't agree with.

Overall I dunno how many really are live, the majority of live SE, EE or Proph all hang about in towns buffing people or doing parties in the Catas.
<- live bishop. I dont know that many live bishops on hindemith actually

Me, MyIvy, Ultio, HakkabeQ, Rooby, And there might be 1 or 2 more im just forgetting right now, but thats all that I know for sure. Im not saying theres more then that Im just saying I knew a lot that stopped at around 50.

At least with bishops, which is my main and played live, you rarely see anyone boxing them. I only knew one guy that ever did it.

I do it, and I do it quite well I might add.
I can think of probably 20 bishops on Hinde, far less EE

to add to that list, Erevin (sub), Fatterhips!, hexcor, Warper, couple others from FS with whack *** names, just off the top of my head
Yeah i started a thread there, we will find out how many in a lil while.
<-- Live prophet

Sadly as a lvl 78 prophet, i too made a lvl 56 prophet to level with :/
<blinks> What for? The extra MP?
Sub maybe?
Countess should have access to any buffer she likes in sub groups in her ally ... o.o;
Groups? Why group when you can bring a whole party...out of party.

Groups? Why group when you can bring a whole party...out of party.

But...but...cause...it's...a fun...and...and..an..MMorpg.
WTS Sarcasm detector
Well I thought it was sarcasm already, cause I just hate people who quad-box like Stabby so beautifully pictured in her comic.
