After all this archer-thinking, since in my guild there are 2 more elven scou going to be SR, I'm going to follow the path of the PW.
Any suggestion on this class? Is viable? Is broken? Am I going to be the uber 1337 cool LE of the year? :P
Thanks,

Cama
I think it's the least played archer class. I'm not much into the archer scene myself but that's just the impression I'm getting.

Their CDL-like shot seems really cool though, but is it any useful?
PW's are fun ^^ Fastest running dagger, Self buff ww2 at 52 (i think).

A PW is good with both a Focus & Critical Dmg wep, Mine uses a Crystal Dagger w/ Crit Dmg since PW's have Crit chance passives but no crit power. Im having alot of fun on mine =P
isn't a dagger-melee class the PW?
I'm an idiot. I was thinking of the DE archer class. Not entirely sure what was goign on in my head.

Teach me to post first thing in the morning before I had my coffee.
ahrhrhrah :)
I'm actually in the process of leveling one of these as well. I plan to go a bit different then the norm at 40, just to see how it works out. Since the Light elfs get high racial DEX I thought I'd go for a pure Evasion build. I'll be getting +5 DEX, Tempered Mithril for +4 Evasion, and a Dark Screamer w/ Evasions. Hoepfully I can also take the Tempered Mithril set to +6 for the extra evasion bonus and the mdef wouldn't hurt either. Hopefully mobs won't be able to hit me ('cept the caster types) and in PvP all I'll have to fear is the mages still. Will be fun to see reguardless :)
Just a word of advice. Play what you want to play, not what your clan has atm. Clans break apart. Leveling a toon to high levels, on something you don't like playing isn't worth it, expecially with C5 and the land of daggers coming back. With the current rate of new dagger classed players, your clan will eventually have alot of them to pick-up, so if you enjoy being an archer, continue to do so.

Big question, do you party in groups all the time, or solo alot. Being a dagger user myself, I can say, daggers don't solo to well. Also if you are trying to be 1337, don't forget you actually have to get to the enemy and get behind him before you can even attempt it, so don't do it just becuase you heard they are back to being fixed.

On the other hand, it you party ALOT (not with archers, or it still won't help you) then being a dagger can be alot of fun.
thank you Vivi, your advices are great ones!
I have until 40 to think about my second class (Im 25 atm).
The dagger its really fun, I always liked melee, but I will consider your suggestions :)
Thanks again to all who replied :)

PW is very nice, but party of 3 archers is very nice too, pw + 2 archers won t let you hit the mobs before they die.
I'll definitely go arch :) decision made!

playing TH myself, I can just say I love it! and daggers are very good at soloing :/ why would they not be? I solo catacombs, and even in a small group with some harder catacomb rooms (usualy all red) im sometimes the tank in party. with 1000 attackspeed and 1200 pattack and vr3/4 you can tank pretty much anything :) so I think daggers are very nice for solo/duo/group or whatever you wanna do with them :) and you can also equip a bow and join a archer group :)

im about to start my own archer, a HE, but...kinda got boored at lvl16 >.< hopefully it will be more fun once im Dgrade and get some nice equipment :)

play whatever you think is fun to play! I picked a dagger when they still where nerfed, and I dident know they would be as great as they are in c5. but i picked them becuz i wanted to play a fun clan and dident care about if they where good or bad.

good luck
Heartfang, don't start a new archer. Gear your TH with a bow. They do rather well with bows. I know from personal experience.
By not soloing well, I meant soloing (buff-less which usually happens if you are out soloing). If you have VR3/VR4 and buffs galore, then not what I consider soloing, but yeah with buffs you can go out alone and solo mobs for 20 mins, then you have to go run back for more.

gotta love the VR :)
lukas, I have to start new toon from time to time, else I get uber-boored :/

vivisecto242, dont forget a lot of people have buff-bots these days :/ soloing withour buff-bots is just close to impossible, unless you restock 500 healing potions everytime you get buffs in town :)

Really? Impossible eh? hmm, I guess I'm screwed......

Nah, I only restock 200 healing potions, 20 Magic Haste Pots, 20 Haste(WW1) pots, as many Cursed Bones and BSPS as I can carry w/o going past 50% weight, and I leave town :p
