anyone actually been to the place?
i cant speak for other dwarves but i could never hunt there
it takes about an hour to get to the bottom and if you ever wondered why there isnt more 70+ mobs the answer is simple, mith mines

the place litterally has thousands of mobs which apart from the odd automated party would never be killed
any idea what the quest mobs are there for?

so anyone else know some cool spots that noone ever goes to?

The quest mobs at the bottom are used for lvl 40 change over quests for a variety of classes.
I had to go down in there for quest mobs while doing my Gladiator quests, thats probably what you bumped into. It is a pretty nice area in there. I love the spot where you can see the hole and skid marks in the wall/floor where the dragon fell in, I think its at the very bottom like your talking about.

afaik for one of the 2nd class change quest .... don't remember which atm

just one word (actually two); forgotten temple .... really cool place to hunt
And of course the classic Cruma Tower, heh.

I think it is the Human Second Class Change. (Testimony of Trust)
I went there to find pick up groups in my dwarf's late teens. I remember we would go to rest and someone kept falling over the god d*mn cliff and it was such a freaking project to get him up again.

Edit: I also managed to die there on my warlord when I was like mid 50's or something. I pulled the entire thing and realised I couldn't aoe because they were all ranged casters.
Now that you mention it, i've never gone in Mith Mines very far.
Been a long ways into Abandoned Coal Mines.
I might have to run down into Mith now!

I've never personally been past the noble ant guys in the ants nest either. That's usually my turn around point.

I wonder how many people go all the way into SODA. You finish the quests there before level 20 for DE toons and I, for one, have never gone back. I assume it gets tougher farther in as well.

Thanks for post!
Those Mithril Mines are HUUUUGE. I remember helping somebody do his 2nd class change and it took us an entire buff round just to run down to the quest mob he had to kill...

lol and now I am about to do the same on my academy noob... pure masochism :)

It is a really cool place, far better looking than those catacombs where all rooms look exactly the same. Really sad that nobody ever goes there, it is just not worth it exp-wise and it is just too far away for most people. I know a lot of people who haven't ever been there.
Quest monsters are for Blade Dancers and such.

I've been there, and I hate the place, it's way too big to be enjoyable, I dont think there is dungeon bigger then Mithril Mines.
I recently went down there to complete a 2nd Class Change quest (Trial of Challenger (http://boards.stratics.com/php-bin/lineage2/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1968&page=0&view=collapse d&sb=5&o=&fpart=1) shameless plug :p ), and I noticed that compared to C4, there are a lot less of our "automated friends" running around.

Shame they don't cut back on the number of mobs, since it can become a pain running through with a monster train (excuse the pun) following you down :). But it does look amazing when you get the very bottom of the Mines.
Forgotten Temple is amazing, so is Garden of Evan, Cruma, Mithril Mines, Elven Fortress... it's fun to have a lower level and go back to those places sometimes.
Underrated places: Forgotten Temple (it is awesome), Skyshadow Meadow, Fields around Innadril.

The latter seems to be server dependant though.
I really really like Garden of Eva with a small group of 3-4 people, never been a fan of Cruma, but there are some nice spoils and drops there (Plated Leather anyone?)
Some of the most fun I had was with 3 toons armed with pole-arms (in c3, we had an archer, a healer, and a dwarf) against the group mobs in the core of GoE. Beautiful place, great to level too.
Yeah I've been there's and it's packed with mobs. Most of them aggro from the tunnel all the way in. The farmers don't like it because the aggro makes it easy for training.
