Why does all teh people in all servers are trying to scam with the old-fashioned style of Trade - put right item-calncel-trade the right -cancel - put wrong item- accept. WE ALL KNOW THIS IS GONNA HAPPEN when you cancel the first time. I always double check the items, if i have a glitch i just ask to set a store or i do that.

Detective: We're trying to figure out how he came to know your name and address since he lived 6 states away.
I had somoene try to pull the name scam recently, I guess people aren't coming up with anything new, at least I haven't had anything to add to my guide for a while.
A scam I haven't seen since prelude is the sell shop/buy shop one where the buy shop buys for higher.
Say, on one end of town someone sits with a sell shop selling something semi-rare and unwanted like +1 mithril banded mail. On the other side of town someone sits with a buy shop buying it for way more. Once someone thinks they're smart and buys the mail to resell it to the other shop, the buy-shop-user stands up.
I guess it's not very effective considering you have to input a pretty bad price in either of the shops, risking someone will sell you their own item without buying yours.
In Beta/Prelude, you could make buyshops to infinite value. You could setup a buyshop for heal pots at 20 M each. You didn't have 20 M...so the shop just informed the seller you didn't have enough adena to purchase. People would scam with all sorts of items this way, selling them for far more than NPC price right next to a shop which was buying for even more. Meanwhile the shop would tell you it was unable to buy and you were stuck with some very expensive healing potions or bangages.
