hey all i know ive made a lot of questions about summoners, and this will be my final one until i become one...Are summoners cost effective? Looking at the summons atm and from my own current experience summons seem to bring in on average x5 there summon cost, especially my silouhette, is it the same or better when u hit lvl 40? cuz it seems to me that summoners rake in a fair amount of cash, just want your thoughts.
Also if i do go summoner should i got, Light armor, plus duals??
Duals on anything other then a BD or Gladiator is a poor choice.
You can nuke well into your 50's with no problem, even higher if you want to.
For C grade PS, I'd say robes and a dagger. I'd lean towards Dark Screamer with focus but a dagger with guidance, mental shield or mana up are all good options as well. If you want to nuke then the mage weapon of your choice instead of a dagger.
The cost can get out of control, it's all in how you xp. It can be cheap or expensive much like any other class.
yeah, depending on how much you want to spend depends on how fast you can level. you can go the no shots route, and level for almost free (outside of the crystal cost of the sumnmon), but take forever to make your next level.
alternatively, you can go for broke, spam shots for you and your summon, use you 10% exp summon, and level like lightning. of course, it'll cost you. currently, doing this costs me about 100k to 150k per hour, but I can hit 15% to 18% per hour in a good spot.
as for gear, summoners come very close to being gear independant. probably you want to stick to robes for C grade, but when you hit B grade, whatever light or robe armor catches your fancy will do just fine. or, you can stay in c grade if you are poor. your summmon can tank for you just fine, and will be doing most of the damage anyway.
currently, I'm using health duals at c grade, makes me a little more durable, I just don't do as much damage, which isn't a big thing for a summoner anyway. still unsure about b weeaponry. not a big push to upgrade, really, as my cats ALREADY have double my pattk. may stick with what i got 'til A grade.
