Bsoe and rep points

Many people complain bsoe have destroyed the pvp aspect of the game. People bsoe for many reason which includes not dying to save xp, not giving satisfaction and giving the other party a pvp point, bsoe when red, get away from stampeding mobs, or some just by accident ( did I do that??? (http://www.80stees.com/images/products/Did_I_Do_That-T.jpg) ).

So should bsoe be tied to rep points? For each bsoe you use your clan loses a rep point. It doesn't go to anyone. It just goes to rep points heaven. And if you are in a clan level 5 and above have no rep points then your bsoe just won't work. Discuss.
can't force people who don't want to fight to do so. don't think you should either. I can see what you are trying to say, but I don't believe tying it to rep points is a good idea, specially the not making it work if the clan doesn't have any rep points. what would happen to people that don't have clans? I don't think people using bsoe to run away from pvp has a good (heck even a decent) solution.
While it's lame to use them in pvp, I see nothing wrong with using a B-SoE when you're about to die to mobs. Unless they could implement something along the lines of you can only lose rep if you B-SoE while flagged I won't support it.
No, I see no reason why you woudn't be able to BSOE for any reason, including getting away from 1 or more wartags.
I think the best solution would be to limit their use to PK=0 counts same as the free newbie weapons.

Thus the only ppl Bsoeing would be the ones who truely dont like to fight, instead of the current situation where they are mainly used/abused by ppl who DO like to fight......but DONT like to lose :p
Forget that... I'll be ****ed if I'm gonna stick around soloing when I see 4+ wartags and 1 or more overpowered heros comming my way.
maybe, but doesn't the sin eater quest remove pk counts?

Yup, but that just makes it less severe of a change. Currently you dont need to use a sineater until you get 5 pks, this change would mean you would have to use sineaters 5 times as often to maintain a BSOE habit......which would be quite a lifestyle change to habitual offenders.
Bsoe can be interrupted cause its not instant, its semi-instant. If you remove Bsoe from the game, remove the sin-eater quest too then.

That is also a joke for pvp really, trying to walk away freely from more then 5 pk points...

If you take one away, take the other one too.
Well, what about a prophet using Return, or for that matter an EE using Party Return. These are basically bsoe's as well. It's just part of the game. Integrate it :)
Well how about level 78 war tags going to a level 60 area for the sole reason to farm rep points. L2 isnt a pvp game its who can gank the most, it hasnt been a pvp game since c1/early c2 now its just who can gank more.

Fighting for hunting spots is one thing but bringing 3 - 9 people into a solo area is kind of pathetic.
Its a good thing that BSOE can be used to make sure that the opposition does not get your rep points. If they want them, they have to try harder.

Kuddos to those with fast enough reflexes to get out of a bad spot.

The real question is, why do people do this sort of thing. The other day a friend of mine was getting griefed by 3 B grade players while on his B dwarf. I went to help him...and could easily have handled it as I could either kill all the players or ask them to leave as I knew them decently well. Instead he called his ally and 7 A grade players ran around mindlessly searching for the individuals. One of them found the 3 players, killed one, and the EE PRed. All in all, it was a bunch of 75+ fighting a bunch of 61-. It was pretty sad truly. The best part was the trash talk for them PRing too. Apparently a 20 lvl advantage, better gear, and double the numbers isn't a good time for retreat. ROFL?
I like the lvl 78 Heros that Run Into 9 people group with their UD on kill 4 people then Bsoe to prevent Rep point losses
fights in l2 come down to who can bring a bigger zerg.

FoD i kill a war tag 1vs1.

He comes back with with 4 friends to kill me after i beat him in a 1vs1 so i get 2 my clannies in the area to help me we kill them 3vs4.

they come back with 14 we just soe 14 vs 3 is a little pathetic and they call us carebear because we didnt stick around to get killed by 2 parties of people in a solo area.

Another time we are in Forbidden path and we got a camera at the entrance, someone using a program sees that there is 4 of us leveling in there, they bring in 20 people to kill the 4 of us we all soe before they get all the way down and call us carebears for soeing vs 5x the odds.

Most people dont want a challenge they just want to make their e-pride bigger by winning a fight that even the most ******ed l2 player could.
I'm all for clan loss or rep points for flagged people using Bsoes. Unflagged? No loss of points. Flag THEN Bsoe? Lose a point.
well thats all find and dandy but ive flagged on people then they have an untagged bought account 78 nuker nuking me as soon as i flag.

4% loss at my level is too much i rather spend the 100k then the 1 mil on the brez.

And what devs stupid idea was it to make you flag in a clan war, that was stupidiest thing they ever thought of.
... well sly, I gave you a solution to people who abuise the BSOE. If you want to deal with people who abuse war status, it's a bit of a different issue. I suppose in that situation, you have to make the decision: what's more important, the clan reputation or the %.

The issue you brought up is more a matter of knowing who your enemies (and their untagged gankers) are and getting revenge.

Can't solve all the problems in the world in one stroke.
yea both are tied together. I really personally dont care if people bsoe. Its in the game for a reason to prevent any xp loss at 76+ even .5% is a lot of xp part of the broken part of this game xp loss isnt grated like xp gain is.

losing 4% at 40 is nothing losing 4% at 76 takes you hours to get back.

Something that ncsoft seriously needs to fix.
bsoes should stay in game until pvp is at least close to balanced
even .5% cost me more adena than a clan hall bsoe not to mention the 3+ hours it would take to earn it back

my sub has never bsoed
fast lvling + high chance of winning means i have no reason to
im even known to challenge lvl 78 archers to 1 v 1's for full xp loss
i think being able to instantly disapear from a fight you dont even have 1% chance of winning is the only balance left

If anyone actually DID level all the way to 80, it would be even more absurd.

At level 80, a 4% loss is roughly the same XP lost as deleveling two full levels from 71 to 69, or deleveling from level 56 to level 1, and it would be about sixty hours of grinding to get it back. When you get to that level, even a 90% res on a 1% death is an hour and a half of grinding to make that 0.1% back.

Good point there Nameless. Nice post indeed.
