Party Return And rep points... Well thats about enough said. You should loose like 100 rep points per person in a Party that PRs when flagged or near someone who they are in war with.
your joking right? Its a brilliant idea for party retrun. Not so much for Bsoe. Bsoe's should cost more or make it so that you loose SP when you use the skill.
It's a horrible idea because Party Return is an inherent unique skill of the EE that has already suffered enough with the introduction of BSoEs. It's the EEs' perogative to whisk his or her party away to safety and avoid a fight - if you don't like it, stun the EE before you see them, or find an enemy willing to fight.
It does make the EE more desirable but it seems a lil dumb to have an EE af you all day just for the PR. Sounds like there would be a lot more two boxed EEs if there werent any BSOEs.
Let's see... EE's are great defensive buffers. They are great healers, especially with MH. They are generally fun to play, I bet. They also have PR, who doesn't love PR? Easy SOE for the group.
Nonsense. EE's are excellent at raids. Advanced block and now clarity and major heal too. Very good raid healers/rechargers. PR suffered hugely with BSOEs around. Why nerf it more? How about this then. Every time a SE uses Emp or VR, you lose rep, ok? That'd be fair.
Well why use an EE at a raid over a bishop? And thats just nurfing the SEs comeon show some love NCsoft obviousely has it out for them taking away their Sleep and Heals they cant do anything now!
Why do you think one of them would be better? Bishops are important for healing, especially in the tank group. You will want their Prayer buff in that group. EEs are very capable second healers, and also wonderful rechargers. Their Clarity buff is also very important.
There isn't really a "better" or "worse" -- they have different strengths and a competent raid will make use of each for their advantages. A good raid will have some of each.
It's not like there's a rule that you can't have some of each at a raid.
Almost two years in fact. I was banned from the forums October of 2004 I believe. Finally decided to appeal ;)
To keep this on topic -- the different healer classes aren't "better" or "worse", just different.
In general:
Prophet: Virtually every buff possible, very little healing capacity.
SE: Has all the important offensive buffs, and some healing capacity.
EE: Has most defensive buffs, a few unique buffs, and a lot of healing capacity.
Bishop: Best at healing, very little buffs.
In general, I have an EE in my party almost always, and it's for a few reasons: clarity, WW, holy weapon, and unholy resistance, and of course heals and recharges. A warcryer handles all the DD buffs. As a team they're a very good match, and the buff cycles are very fast, even in large parties.
PR as a tool to not lose XP is relatively rare to use. Certainly I wouldn't bring the EE along just for that, especially when I can BSOE. PR and high %res are just icing on an already very nice cake.
Which of the four primary healers/buffers that you choose depends largely on what other buffers/healers are available.
And IMO bishops are better raid tank healers because we have restore life, which is a tank heal, and balance, which is another cheap tank heal since the rest of the party better not be doing much tanking anyway. That doesn't mean mana healers, like the EE aren't just as important though, but not for heals.
Party Return And rep points... Well thats about enough said. You should loose like 100 rep points per person in a Party that PRs when flagged or near someone who they are in war with.
You should lose like 200 rep points per person in a party if you cast Prayer near someone who has letter "f" in their name :D

You should lose like 20000000000000 rep points when you Erase a summoner's summon, because that's just mean to do to the poor summoner who never takes anyone else's weapon away from them :(
I can just see the devil breaking into a hellish tapdance of joy over this. :p
OnTopic: Since I can't even remember how I got my single PvP score I couldn't really care less about this, but PR and BSoE are part of the game and have been used for similar purposes in the past. So no point starting to change the tune now.

/agree Not likely to see a change like this anyway but just leave it alone.
P.S. I think you should lose all your rep points for meaningless posts! :p
I vote that when you flag on someone it ports you both into a non-soe, no relog, no game exit area and you have to duke it out until someone dies and they drop 100% of their gear and it crystalizes when it hits the floor. And if they get rezzed later their arms and legs detach and port to the top of Cruma Tower and they have to lip it all the way over there to retrieve said parts.
The only, and only thing that needs to be changed about PR is it needs to cause the EE to flag when it is initiated with a flagged person within the radius. Other than that, it's fine.

LOL
And I find it interesting that there was a short discussion about which to bring to a Raid Party an EE or a Bishop... Is it limited to just one or the other? Why wouldn't you bring both of them?
While I would agree in previous chronicles, I think the EE is the best overall healer now. Bishops are better for some pvp situations. EE is better in more situations, though.
Raids are irrelevant since both are wanted/needed for different purposes
Sorry but all the greater heals, plus all the major heals, plus restore life, balance life, vit, purify, mass rez, benediction, body of avatar, prayer, still trumps EE healing.

All those skills are great for special situations. 90% of the time you use the skills that a EE got too.
seems like every one has a botted EE now, and use them to wisk away before a zerk team has the chance to PvP a wared enemy. :(
what would be the point to war someone if you refuse to fighting unless it's on your terms? :(
It would be nice if PR was restricked a bit, if your party is flaged no PR.
With the new rep points, some clans have little to no chance of getting rep points cept from acadamy menbers and PvP....but when your enemy PR's or Bsoe's you got no chance at all for a fair/simi fair fight!
With the way the game is PvP last about an average of 15 seconds at best.
With CP, CP pots, CP heals, and quick pots, it's very hard to get a kill in on another player, much less when they have a botted Healer spam healing them, and you don't.
So in my honest openion remove it from flaged situations.(or if a player is chaotic in party)
The problem aren't EEs, the problem is all PvPers continually whining about there being no PvP. People want to win, not to fight, and so naturally, it's fun for no-one.
Who do these people have to blame but themselves? Find like-minded opponents who actually want to fight, and then, regardless of classes, have a fun war.
