Orc Mystic

I want to make an ork mystic but I cant decide what path I want to go down. I was wanting to be one that has some good nukeing but that doesnt seem to be the case. So can you tell me what one is less of a support mage and what one is more damage? I am not expecting something like a SH I am just woundering wich one is better at defending himself using magic as opposed to physical stregnth.
no orc is really a nuker in pve both overlord and warcryer can nuke in pvp and both are buffers,
If you want to 'nuke' don't make an Orc Mystic.

The only 'nuke'-like skill either gets is "Steal Essense". This is a 80% drain and previously cost 2x as much as a 'real' nukers normal attack spell...C5 raised the MP cost of it another 30%.

So Spellhowler at L58 uses 54 MP to nuke....Orc mystic? 138 MP.

Go Orc mystic to nuke? I sure hope you like going AFK to regen MP *A*L*O*T*.

(No Clear mind, No BtM, No Higher Mana Gain, complete lack of any MP management skills....its kinda like MP management with a Spellsinger...only worse.)

(....its kinda like MP management with a Spellsinger...only worse..... you'll be Green .)

There, Fixed it for ya :p
Being Green Rules :)

Anyways, it sounds that your style will be more towards the WarCryer than the OL. With the C5 changes, I am finding my OL a bit nerfed to say it nicely. The mana cost on our drain is way, way over the top and we already cast slow, so you are not going to overwhelm the others.

That, and OL is more of an end game I am thinking, where the WC is very much a middle game and end game player.
Being Green does rock. Unfortuneately the Orc mystic doesnt really qualify as a nuker. However if you want more offensive spells then the Overlord is the way to go. The seal spells work quite nicely for pve and ok in pvp against people near your level. I have soloed a lot with mine and I dont have problems doing clan parties with my buffs, heals, and seal spells. In fact I duo quite often with a sh because he likes the fact I can root, slow, and do many other things to group mobs while he aoe nukes them.

Overlords are also a great assest to pole parties even though most dont believe so. The simple fact remains though you need a clan at the minimum to really be effective with an Overlord.

Warcryers are awesome too. The difference is they are great as a party buffer. That being said Hindemith has a WC who is almost unbeatable in the Olympiad. So take your pick but both toons are great at higher levels, but the road can be rough to get there.
