I just started this a few hours ago, and i must say that the story, the way you play the game, and how the game is built is really appealing to me. I used to play wow, but atm its not appealing.
Problem is i am having serious trouble understanding the classes and what is good for what =)
Atm i started a DE Warrior and was thinking of gooing the bladedancer way, but is that a good character in PVP and solo ? or are there other better characters for that ? any help would be greatly appreciated =)
BD is excellant solo, although having an SE would make you able to dup to 75 without any problems. They also get groups cause their buffs are great. Your other options are Archer (they hit pretty hard), abyss walkers who are daggers, and Shillian Knight which is a tanking class. Choose one for your playstyle, daggers are extremely fast damage and great pvp. Archers are good, but you need ot kite and pay attention, typically very good in pvp. Shillian Knights I dont know much about, they are a tank, and supposdly good with pvp, but Im not familar with the class. BD's are very powerful damage depending on how they are setup. You can also tank with them somewhat as wlel if needed. If you choose BD and ar eplaying on Hindemith, pm me in game and I can help you out with different methods of palying one.
I really have no clue about the game at all, and am just starting to learn the basics =) But what i felt is that a bladedancer feels like a cool character to play, and since i have played support characters in other MMO:s, its not something that turns me down =)
But i have 0 clue about this game, and the last time i played a game similar to this was a few years ago when i played Asherons Call. So this is a comeback for me to a real MMORPG, from the RPG-Light that World of Warcraft is.
BD is a support class, it can solo decently too. I'd say it is a good choice for a first account as you will have no problems to get parties and make ig friends/join a clan.
On the other side, bd is pretty boring, you don t get any usefull specials except medusa at 77 (and arrest now) It s a smart choice for a casual player or someone who does nt have his own buffers.
I'd say choosing a good server is more important atm, bartz and teon are by far the best pvp/overall servers and there is a big difference between those 2 and the rest. I'd seriously think on rolling on one of those if I were you.
