I was wondering wich class had the most damage potential. I am guessing that the blade dancer would have less health, bt im not sure of the advantages and disadvantages of both classes. I hope to pvp, and without going Destroyer, i really want to rip up in melee range.
Short answer.
Between the 2, the Tyrant has to most damage output potential (once you have reached 58+). This is of course dependant on getting buffs.
A BD would have an easier time lvling though, as they are always in demand. But if your hoping to get stuck in and DD then a Tyrant would be a better bet.
Tyrants have faster attack speed and can outdamage a BD. I beleive however, BD's do overall better at tanking if necessary and obviously have great buffs for party.
As a BD, Im prejudiced, but a Tyrant is insane damage, and can be pretty badass to play. Either can solo well or duo with SE buffs so enjoy either class. Tyrants are far less popular as a class though.
tyrants will roll bd's pretty much every time if they can catch them buffed or unbuffed pretty much. They are extremely slow though and most fighting will be at the bd discretion.
Party potential a bd will always get a spot before a tyrant.
I have a Tyrant and Blade Dancer, both lvl 62. The BD has Focus Duals/Tallum Heavy, while the Tyrant has Focus Fists/DC heavy. I am able to 3-box with my Tyrant, giving him both SE buffs (lvl 64) and Prophet buffs (58); while with my BD, I can only give him SE buffs (since my BD and PP are on the same accout). My BD definitely outdamages my Tyrant for general leveling purposes, even though I only have the SE Buffs. That is, of course, because the BD is also able to self-buff via dances. The combo of self-buffs from dancing with SE buffs still outdamages my Tyrant with SE/PP buffs and totems.
I have, however, given my Tyrant SE and PP buffs AND BD dances...in that setup...the Tyrant eats through ***** like nobody's business.
My BD seems to outdamage the tyrant mostly because of the BD's critical rate (from duals) and extra critical damage (dance). For XPing, the BD does really well because the crit rate/damage ties in with VR3 really well, and I'm able to 2-box the cats/necros without problems.
The Tyrant, however, is much, MUCH better at PvP because of HPs and versatility of totems. The tyrant is also able to handle the necros/cats with either my SE or PP behind it. And unlike the BD, if I aggro too many mobs or if I experience lag, the Tyrant generally survives because of the extra HPs.

Why would u ever use dark crystal heavy on a tyrant?? Its not xp or pvp wise. For pure pve go dark crystal light ofc. For a pvp-pve setup nightmare light would be the best choice. :)
hmm, BDS have low hp and no armor masteries, well till the actually hit 40, tyrants can change totems and use light armor the take alot of damage i took a lvl 60 BD vs a lvl 61{in A grade} tyrant and won, kinda quick, then again i crited buncha times in a row[yes we were both buffed] but in general , i haven't fought many tyrants, i haven't lost once...but they were pretty bad in pvp tho :D
