EE Vs SE. PVP Not Heals.

Who would win. *Same Gear Same Level?*
Delete this thread while you can, its going to be another SE thread complaining about Heals.

And none would win in PvP, they would get bored and leave after finding out they do crap dmg and can infinatly heal.
Nice!
To counter the Whining I made a post to Se's before complaining thread first.
The only reason why EEs could win is that their heal is much cheaper in MP :D
But they don't have VR, nor the ubar cool crit buffs.

They do, however, have reduce weight: They can simply carry more shots than the SE and win like that!
SE
lol, depends a lot on the level. EE has trance, so trance > mana burn * x > trance > mana burn works, as well as trance > self recharge (clarity). So in the end the EE can heal itself, while the SE will run out of mp.

But it definitely would be a long and boring fight (and VR in pvp is "lol" btw).
(duplicated, sorry :))
Quiet clearly an EE why? Sure the SE got VR ( at max lv it's 9% back not really that much ) Secondly sure she got DD buffs, EE on other hand have hte oposit, most of the basic needed buffs, but also the defensive cones to soak up the SE buffs.

Then we go bac kto the point of heal, Mayor heal, heal for as much as hte other one, and thers an 30% MP difference wish add up a ton.

And like someone mentioned, Trance + Mana burn, mana burn, mana burn :P
EE would win hands down.
I imagine VR racks up quite a nice bit of healing across the duration of a healer duel.

And I do guess that mana burn finally enables these fights to actually come to an end - after all, they don't last such a long time due to the healers doing gimpy damage, but due to the possibility of self-heals. :D
No, VR4, is 9% VR, beating off 3k HP eg what an somewhat high lv healer have is just 270 HP.

It's not a big difference here.

Paying 114 vs 80 MP on other hand adds up like mad, it's 30% MP cost difference, both skills heals for about the same. Taking the VR into accont here as well is other words SE need ot pay 20% more.
Well, the thing is when you kill a healer it's not like you'll do 3k damage - I know same level people who don't have very high burst damage do multiple times its max HP to my summon, and in a healer fight (where healing is actually involved, the kind that mana burn pretty much took out of the game tho), you're looking at 10, 20 times the healer's max HP.
Unless the fight starts with spamming MP burns.
I've actually tested this theory (and picked up a nice little karma point in doing so).

SE can win, or EE can win. It all depends on who gets the drop on who.
Why would an ee face a se in open pvp or siege or what? lolz
Buffers and healers buff and heal k? not pvp
(btw ee wins)
Tell that to the EE I jumped a week or two ago that ended up taking a dirt nap.

Granted, he got me back when I wasn't looking, so... it all dependson who gets the drop on the other, usually.
Before manaburn I had 1 vs 1 other healers and didn't loose with my EE, except vs root N shoot SE/prophets. However now that manaburn is around the tatics will change, however since the root N shoot SE isn't as good anymore I should be able to win versus them too.
Ee's only chance is if Trance works.

Clean open fight (nobody dropping on someone),

I would think SE will win over EE.

SE simply starts with higher Str + their offensive buffs are better. Only way an EE would win is their Trance works and they can burn out SE's mana.

Who would win. *Same Gear Same Level?*

Hands down neither, PP would kill both hehe ;)

(I think a SE would win, depending on what they also were using as gear & who hits who first) :p

Unless the fight starts with spamming MP burns.

You've gotta be kidding right? Both classes burn eachother to worthless levels of mp. SE's focus/guidance/deathwhisper/VR dominates the EE's defense buffs. The SE crits for 600 while the EE crits for 200. Fight over. When the EE starts spam healing itself, the SE just soaks up more HP and stops taking damage. EE's evasion is too low for agility to make a dramatic difference. SE's guidance allows them to hit at a better rate as a more significant buff.

Better hope the EE remembers not to buff holy weapon too.
You do know how powerfull teh EE's buffs is right?

Like Advanded block add over 500 P.def on your shiedl over all ?

So an EE with maby 700 P.def on a shield block got over 1100 P.def easely. Don't underestimate teh shield, neitehr don't underestimate it's way way way greater casting speed for mana burn out the target faster to if wanted.

An EE don't go for evasion, they use there shield for there defence.
LOL, are you serious? Oh man I gotta get my clannie to fight with me on his 78 ee and se.

You do realize I use a shield and tanked regularly with a 77 EE...it adds nowhere near to what you suggest. You are wrong.
The only way I see an SE winning is by having a pretty poor EE as the enemy. I mean, an EE can stop an SE from casting with trance and thus should beable to burn out all of an SEs mana with only losing very little of their own. If you are not allowed to heal or pot then an SE would have a better chance but the EE could still just trance and sit for faster health regen. But I don't see an SE getting around the trance of the EE. EE would just burn out all the SEs mana first and then just trance + heal in an anything goes fight.
An EE standing there healing is just a 9% heal for you to take with VR in 4 swings. Trance/burn is gonna wear plenty of his mana down as well. And if you stop trying to burn back and just start hitting, you should start getting your advantage early.
Hey now, ok. We have a 78 SE and EE, sometime this week we'll get them geared up with the same stuff and have at it and I'll post the results XD

Am I ?

PS the formulate for Lv 3 of the skill is

(Shield * 2) * 1.15

So eg S grade shield 290 P.def
290*2*1,15 = 667 P.def
any other class without this buffs iwll have 290 P.def with the shield.
I had a "staff fight" with a slightly higher level EE on my SE - but in C4. I won twice in a row without healing myself once :p
I probably had better armor or something. I dont remember if I had applied con dyes at the time.

Return ftw then :D
Yeah.

The expression goes:

Any fight I walk away from is a win.

Given the SE's lack of a return skill outside of a BSOE, I have to hand it to the EE.
Running away is not winning a fight.

You can think whatever you want, but it doesn't make it true.
It does, in fact, double shield PDef - but for a tank, who takes little damage anwyay, the differences are hard to see.

I'm not sure where the 1.15 came from.

Running away is not winning a fight.

It rather depends on what your point is. You just frustrated your opponent, and "stole" a pvp point from them. So now you have an angry enemy, who has no idea where you just ported to after you went "home."

You have all the xp you started with. Course, so do they.

Anybody that attacks an EE or a PP deserves to have them whisked away anyways. It's not like they have a chance against most dd classes.

Running away is not winning a fight.

Running away from ganking is not losing a fight either. And if you don't lose being ganked, but win ganking back...
Ok well adding to the mix, if all levels are same, all armor is same and all use same weapon, if a Prophet and Bishop are dragged in to the equation, who would you put against who, which two would be best to fight together, weak points, strengths, and so on and so on.

I play neither EE nor Bishop so have no idea on their strengths and weaknesses.
You wouldn't realistically expect the same armor on a Prophet and a Bishop in this fight.
I appreciate that each would wear different robes (and in some cases armor) under normal circumstances but that isn't relevant to my question. All I asked was if they all had the same what would the outcome be. For the purpose of my question they all have exactly the same setup. I know this would add/detract to the skills of each so it is really a question of how much weapons and armor effect each class I guess. For example if you are a Bishop and a certain armor weakens you, how do you compensate. That is why I asked the question. You could change the armor and weapons to be of more use the the Prophet/Bishop and less to the SE/EE therefore how could the SE/EE compensate to still win - it was just a thought provoker.

If you did read my post you wuld have understand that to, the 1.15 came from Shield 3 buff, as it affect it as well. In fact every defencive buff increse the shield with as much to, so if you had an BD add 1.20 more to the shield.

And it's suree quite noticable btw, an EE at max lv have about 700-800 P.def and add 600 P.def to every shield block, 1300 to 1400 P.def on shield blocks.

Btw otehr fact who still make the EE save a hell a lot more MP then the SE is, more mp to begin with, faster regen, and now Clarity as well.

Nor am I.

Shield buffs may increase your total pdef by 50%, but DW crits are more than double damage. Considering the high strength of the SE, we still see absolute domination by the SE. The SE will hit nearly twice as hard on average, and leach back a large portion of that...furthering the margin. In other words, if he hits twice as hard and leaches back 9%...he really decreased the EE's damage by 18%. That's huge.
an SE dosnt crit twice as hard, I can explain the damagee formulaa here to.

First off, sure the SE will most likly crit 30% as often as an EE; we still talk crit rate around 1/10 hits, an EE will have almost the same as this.

Focus buff only add 30% crit rate.

Then we come to DW, who add a bit of crit damage, basicly if you got DW when you deal basicly 3 times the damage as a normal hit, the EE will still deal for 2, and almost as common as the SE, except the EE will soak up a lot more of the damage then teh SE will leach out.

As I've said in another thread, I even beaten Prophets with my EE. They have greate damage but sucky healing capability.

An EE can heal for about 40% more of it's MP compared to an SE, an SE do NOT have 40% more damage then an EE; we talk about 10% more damage.

In fact why don't we count on the damage to ?

if an SE got a sword, 110 crit rate or around there wich meens she crit 11 times out of 100 hits, the EE will crit for 8 times per 100 hits.

basicly this meens the SE gets '22' Bonus hits vs 8 for the EE so. 122 vs 108 'hits' per 100 hits. the difference here is 13% more damage.
Ah - I thought it was being multiplied into AB, my apologies - I was reading in a hurry.

Cool to know that standard defense buffs pull on shields, too. :D

if an SE got a sword, 110 crit rate or around there wich meens she crit 11 times out of 100 hits, the EE will crit for 8 times per 100 hits.

That is a BAD BAD assumption that I have totally debunked in testing. A 100 crit rate vs a 200 crit rate is not double critical. A 500 critical capped archer also crits more than 1/2.
i personaly think a SE will win in a clean flank battle if both not use magic sinds Dark elf's basic statics are higher and more optimized for damage instant of tanking and we all know the more offensive will alwas wins over a defence toon
But why on earth would they not be using magic? They're caster classes...
As far as I'm concerned, the SE wins with magic or without. As soon as a character has to start healing to stay alive, they are in trouble. The SE can easily step to the side and start hitting from an angle that avoids the shield during heals as well. A set of Tsu*Sls enchanted to the equivalent grade of the EE offers an absurd crit rate combined with fast attacks. The possibility for spell disrupts, crits, and even the shear damage beings to completely invalidate the power of healing. Every heal loses the effect of the attacks taken during the cast, and in the process heals the SE 9% of that damage as well. No chance.
Healer heals don't take long enough to make stepping around a valid idea.

You are basing your arguement on a melee class, not a healer, being the attacker.
I pvp on lil all the time. Healers without acumen leave plenty of time to step...including when hitting Shandie a 7x EE on Hindemith. NEXT

I think you missudnerstood the math.

if your hitting a target dead on, and both face each other every 10 crit rate is 1% chans to crit, and ofcorse tehre is a cap of 500 crit rate, on other hand a healer won't reach this.

If the healer got a sword and buff herself with Focus the crit rate will be around 110, and to do the math 110/1000 = 11%, wich meens 11 hits per 100 hits is a crit.

Then ofcorse you can crit 5 times in a row and then don't crit for 50 hits. But the thing I said was on average. If your hiting from behind a target the crit chans goes up to btw, so does accurezy and the fort, but 2 healers PVP each other won't.
