I have a lvl 12 Dwarf and want to start crafting DSS . I have the recipe and the D grade cyrstals but where can I get Soul ore at? Also am I high enough lvl to do this? Thanks in advance for your help.
Soul ore is sold in shops. But you can't "load" that dss recipe until lvl 20.
Your artisan won't get the skill level sufficient to craft that level recipe till then.
You perhaps know that you must change your class to Artisan when you hit level 20. I recommend you, for the time being, to hunt mobs to get level 1-4 basic mat recipes, such as Braided Hemp, cokes, coarse bone powder...
Because some recipes become harder to obtain if your level is much higher than mobs dropping the recipes.

the private craft fee on bss even if really high will still not cut into your profits enough for DSS to make more money
in fact the most money you can make from shots as a lowbie crafter is to make A-SS which of course creates the question "why play an artisan?"

I have plenty of reasons why he cann't craft B and A grade shots as a lvl 20 crafter. One of them being you don't learn level 6 craft till level 49. Plus it's not like he has billions of adena burning a hole in his pockets as a level 20 to buy the recipes.
I think nameless1 is suggesting that the OP could find a private crafting shop to create BSS/***. You would only need the raw materials to make them, and could sell them at profit (although I'm sure that wasn't a serious suggestion :p)

yup
the profit margins on BSS and *** are alot higher than DSS so even when you factor in the private craft fee you still come out on top
combine that with the fact that you arent limited by your crappy lvl 20 dwarven mp regen and its not even close
minimum investment needed to get into the *** game is 20k adena
Ok, lets say you find a high level crafter. You would still need the resources. And although it will be easy and cheap to get the ores needed the cost of crystals will be high.
But lets put aside the cost of the resources a bit. If you use the resources you have and find a high level crafter to craft your B and A grade shot to resell. Won't you still be out priced from the surrounding shops?

To the OP, as heady as all these conversations about crafting A-SS and B-SS might be, it is not your issue or your solution.
Unless you're cheating, you have around 30k accumulated at lvl 12.
If you're the luckiest player ever to join the game, have run endless quests, and delevel'd a couple of times, you have 100k.
You're not going to giran from Dwarfland to by A crystals for a sell shop.
Nor should you.
Keep hunting green mobs. Keep running quests.
At one point you can kill goblins, bats, magic eyes, and orcs somewhere around your level and all are generally found near each other. Keep doing that till you get to 15 or so.
You need to do the granite golem quest a bunch of times to get gatekeeper tokens.
Spider's quest in Dwarfland isn't bad--I think that's around lvl 15-18 too.
Make sure you do weapon quests.
You should have the silversmith hammer now at lvl 12.
If you don't do the "double, double, toil...." quest from Blacksmiths where you kill the stupid bat that ate the diamond to get it.
When you get to dion (after class change at lvl 20), hunt the bugbears outside of dion for awhile. Amass adena. Be stingy. Be cheap.
After you get first 150-200k pm me and I'll tell you how to get the first 1 million adena in 5-6 days, 2 million in 10-12 days and so on.
For godsakes don't craft dss for sale.

I have all top NG gear on my dwarf now and at lvl 16, adena not a problem either. I have a wiz at lvl 32 and a fighter at lvl 36 with all top d grade gear with all echants. Just to give you a heads up on wear I stand. The dwarf is anew to me thats why I was asking. But thanks for all that input.
