C5+Gladiator = new AoE Nuke master??

Today I tried something funny with my Gladiator.
I was in a 6 ppl party with a DA, 2xSE, PP and a bishop, mostly to "power level" the SE and Bishop.
We hunted Past Knights groups up at ancient battlefielda and it was **** easy.
The strategy was, DA use hate aura, then the Glad fire off a Sonic Storm + a Sonic Buster and the whole 5 mob group is dead within 2-3 seconds. They barly damages the DA, du to the big P.Def. he has.
One group give the following XP:
Glad-60 : 7.500 XP
SE-62 : 8.000 XP
PP-62 : 8.000 XP
DA-59 : 7.250 XP
SE-55 : 6.500 XP(I think)
Bishop-46 : 5750 XP (I think)

The best part is that the Glad doesent need to recharge forces everytime, just once every 20 minutes. All he needs is 2 forces "avalible" but will not be consumed + 3 Energy Stones (consumed) for each S.Storm or S.Buster.

We even tried 3 groups at once, and once the DA collect them in center and the Glad uses his two AoE skills the whole groupe of 15 mobs drops in 2 sec :)

AND... better YET :) .... The Glad uses "Sonic" therefor the Extreamly Strong Magic Defence that two of the mobs have, means nothing.

Does anyone know if the Gladiators Sonic AoE also is limited to 20 mobs, like eg. Tempest, or is it like a big boom, with no limit?
GREAT

MEGAGRATZ FROM ME :)
Fix your caps lock key.
It's only servitors that are unaffected by the AoE nerf.

This sounds **** ****. :)

How fast do those skills reset?
Actually if you're a glad in your 60's to mid 60's looking for good xp, get a buffer and go to frozen lab and hunt the golems and whatever those group bears are called. With the new charge system, my out of party SE, and lvl 5 focus sonic, i nuke them for half their hp, then its two strokes for each mob and 32-34k xp per group.

Of course you could do the same thing using both your AoE nukes, but i find that's a waste of mana, more often than not, the nukes crit and i 1 shot them. The only problem with frozen lab is that there are not enough mobs, and its always camped out on my server. But 34k xp solo for a less than 5 seconds work aint too bad. Go C5 glads.
WTB my forté back.
Tarun i am so sorry ncsoft hates you more than us. . .
around C3 when the aoe wasnt reduced, we would pull the whole ABG. We had a tank(sometimes2),bishop, 2 glads. DA brings in the mobs, then he counts down from 5 in vent, DA hates on 3, glads sonic stoms on 2....great xp with no down time. The only hard part was fighting over dwarves and bigbooms.

I was in FL, to do the groups there, and I do agree, they give around 1,25 times more XP/group then the undead groups in Ancient Battleground, but as you say it has a fairly long respawn time, and there are a lot of people around there.

In Ancient Battleground they spawn all the time and all around me, so I can kill like 5-6 groups in the same time it takes to kill one group in FL.
In the mentioned 6 char party, where 4 out of 6 chars are lv59-62 the gladiator alone gets 7.500 XP/group = 40-45.000 XP. If the Gladiator and the DA was in party and all the other 4 chars was out of party, the Gladiator and DA, would have around 200.000 XP to share (26.500 XP/group x 6 groups x 1,30 party multiplyer.
So its actually a really god leveling spot.... the only problem is that the two AoE Sonic attacks uses a lot of mana, so we use two SE doing recharge to keep us going none-stop.

That I really would like to try, now we can "only" take 4 groups at once, but the good part is that we rarely see any Big Boom parties out there.

thats right, because warsmiths definately dont have the right to aoe
"Good" because BB parties usually take the whole place. =P

thats right a lvl 70 ws with buffs could take up to 5 groups *gasp* horror
BB groups can literally take a whole area - I've seen (C4) all the high end groups of SMeadow being pulled onto a single big boom for powerlevelling.

Of course, for levelling yourself, it wasn't quite that grand. ;p
I do miss the C3 AOEs :P I espically miss our UD pulls...both tanks would go out and pull all of ABG on striders and the mobs from above abg also, (the ones that look like bloody queens). Upon countdown the tank that hates UDs...so much animation our computers would lag for a few seconds.

And i also remember my lil buddy dwarf minding his own business on his lil hill being picked on by farmers ^.^

i assume thats farmer plvling you are talking about
the average big boomer would take his 3 groups and leave everyone else alone
Been there. The main problem of a Gladi as an AoE nuker is lack of Higher Mana Gain (or of any other way to manage their MP efficiently).
Yes I agree, thats why we hunt with two SE in lvl62 and 55 to recharge the Gladiators MP.
