Obviously Franz is located in Europe but have some of the servers recently seem to have had their locations changed (specifically, my ping to Erica has gone up considerablely).
Strange because my ping times haven't drastically changed for any of the NA servers since I've started playing. Half are high, half are low. Weird.
As I'm oft to do, I wasn't clear enough. The "No they aren't" bit was refering to the servers being moved to Austin. They are, as I'm sure you suspect, still on the West and East coasts of the country.
Though, I'm sure they would keep our office warm in the bitter Austin winters.

Then I respectfully request that you move the East Coast closer to Idaho. Thank you.
Not the servers on the East Coast...but the ENTIRE east coast. And if you could move the entire West Coast further away I'd appreciate that as well....start with California.

I think the client caches/remembers the pings in a file, if you delete it it will give you fresh real pings. Which file it is should be mentioned in the old Franz sticky where people weren't getting the updated ping when it moved to Europe because of it.

Well if his ping isn't drastically changing that implies that it IS changing; then he obviously isn't getting old pings unless you are referring to an averaging...which you did not mention in your post.
So he can't possibly have an issue of seeing old pingtimes.
Yes, you wrote that. Fail to see how that changes what I said.
I'll type slowly then. My pings change constantly. They have not changed dramatically, however (I was hoping that one might understand that "not changing dramatically" meant that they "changed some"). This lead me to believe that the servers had not moved months ago as someone had suggested. This was backed up by Rust stating the servers had not moved from the East and West Coasts. Got it?

Ok, I thought since he is the migthy forum troll he already knew that, but the ping still changes its just saving some of the info in a file, so you don't get "real pings" when looking on the list. I have no idea if its an average, loaded average or whatnot. All I was saying was to be 100% sure, you delete the file and you get instant recheck.
This is why sometimes people will give away that they're playing on "homebrew erheemm things" when they screenshot their pinglist and a server is still pinging like 1-2 ms on the real list, a remnant of their login of the *erhemm* place.
