ncsoft selling what should be free??

was looking to see when my rogue gets skills and i see that ncsoft is selling the c4 edition of l2 with no serial code for 10$

is it just me but when i buy a game, lol i expect to be able to play it w/o paying to BUY the game again
if it was free that would be a different thing

You can download L2+C1+C2+C3+C4+C5 for free without even having an account.

Are you sure it wasn't some offer to send you the stuff on a CD/DVD for the bandwidth impaired?

omg post was up three minutes before someone responded! freak out! =P the cds they sell afaik are just to give you the updates to that point without having to go through the regular update server.

and btw, dont assume that posting a question is going to get you locked. you aren't that controversial! perhaps its best that you went to post on l2blah; it seems far more suited to your add-ridden needs.

Tarun's right. After numerous complaints about the lack thereof, they ran a poll on who would be interested in a CD with the newest chronicle for a small fee, and that's what came around with it.

Prepare to get flamed into submission if you post that over there. As Tarun said you can download the game for free, so its a bit dumb to get worked up over an old link (if that is what it was).

That CD was on sale so peoples who don't have a fast connection culd order it and have it easy to dl the patch, and not let it take days as it culd have done otherwise.

Ofcorse C5 have camed out now to, but it sure helps a lot having an C4 disc for theos compared to C0.

I'm sure it wasn't free for them to print the CD/DVD, package it, store it in a warehouse, and mail it to you.

You can DL for free, or you can pay a small fee to get it on CD. It's not a bad deal.
