ok i got my strider but when i summon him there is no mount/dimount button. is there a certain weight limit i can have for it or something? i looked ata ll menus and didnt see, well im going back on to try and figure out.
On my 3rd hotbar, my first slot has the strider. I just have to click on it to summon him. The 2nd slot has a /mount macro. The 3rd slot has a /dismount and then equips my weapon/shield.
Open your actions list after you summon him. The action "mount/dismount" appears in the same place as attack in your actions menu if you have a strider summoned.
When my hatchling gets to low in food gauge, it will not allow me to unsummon it.
So the only way I can unsummon it is, by relogging or feeding it so it gets above 60% food gauge (I think).
If you leave food on your hatchling (not in your inventory), it will automatically feed itself when it gets to about 50%. You can still work with it or unsummon it.

Do you know how much wolf food I wasted the first time I tried to work with a wolf? It doesn't taste too bad, though. :o
ANothe rproblem, is I cant trade with anyone when a strider i sout. I tried to trade with my frined with his strider out, I couldnt. He put it away, and I could. Trade window came up, but nothing would show in my trade window. Makew sit awkward ot hand him things. It happened a few times actually.

No clue why this is happening to you. Never happened to me.

I've traded while on strider.
There IS a bug I know about where things don't show in the trade window; it happens sometimes when you switch between characters on the same account without logging out, especially if you switch between characters with a very full to a very empty inventory, or vice versa. It's a frequent bug I encounter while doing my end-of-the-day muling of items to their appropriate warehouse characters.

True, that is one of the bugs which everybody knows about, but it is hard to 100% reproduce, and that is probably why it is still in game and not fixed yet. Like for example that it is sometimes impossible to assist a party member (i.e. right click on the name in the party list and nothing happens), but it works again after you target something else and then try again.
What about the beast soulshots? Are they suitable for my little one? (that's a hatchling, in case you are wondering). Do the beast soulshots need to be on the pet's inventory or mine? And can they go "automatic" in some way?

thanx guys!
yes (with a weapon)
in ur inventory in same way u use ur shots (drag to hotbar and right click)
You can do it all in one macro. You can even add your weapon to the hotbar, then place it into the macro. This macro works for mounting or dismounting, and always has your weapon ready.
If dismount command is given while off strider, nothing happens. If mount command is given after strider is dismounted (and auto put away), nothing happens. One macro will mount, dismount, and arm weapon when off strider.
