I'm trying to download a C5 client, and can only find links to sites requiring registration.. I really don't want to use the normal update from C4, but I also DETEST registering to download a product I am paying for to a 3rd party.

If anyone knows of a site where I can download without the invasion of privacy 3rd party registration requires, please post them.

ps:note to NC Soft : WHY!!!! can't we download the CURRENT game client from YOUR SITE!!!?????

You can.....

Chronicle 5 is only officially available for download from FilePlanet. While registration is required, the download itself is free. We chose this method for bandwidth concerns, to make updating to Chronicle 5 as smooth as possible for everyone.

We do still plan on offering the game for download on the official site in the near future. I don't have a date for when that will happen, unfortunately.

Thank you!

Cant you still download the PTS and do the conversion?

Edit : Ok nevermind, guess not lol

I believe the Public Test Server client isn't available for download -- just the conversion file.

Your assuming that the person had the game already installed.

Then why not offer a bit torrent.... Alot of the bandwidth falls on the downloader.

Or better yet just create a basic install of the game for people that cann't download 2.2+ gigs of content in one sitting. A basic install could be as small as under 2 megabytes in size.
