Whens our Turn L2?
That was a great episode. L2 could never be in anything like that . . . no one knows what the hell L2 is.

90% (not really) of the people who watched the South Park episode didnt know what wow is. Now they do, he have a point.
Yes, it served as a little advertising, but to a US audience, it's only advertising what people already know about. It's like advertising McDonalds. Anyone who plays PC games in the US has heard of World of Warcraft. It's near impossible not to. That's the only reason why the episode is funny. Had it been an episode of Lineage 2, it would have bombed.
Also think about the premise of the episode- a player killing other players without consent after leveling his character to obscene heights.
1) in L2, you don't need permission to attack someone
2) our super high level characters are fit and trim- they go play outside while they level :D
i saw it and it was pretty funny... i bet the only one in NA-NCSOFT who saw it was Rust... i dont know i just have that feeling :P

but ya.. i wouldnt say it was really advertising... the episode was the result of advertising which made the game much more popular in NA than L2 is. So if anything i would say them using WoW in the episode was a result of the advertisement of WoW....

Will we ever see advertisment of L2? Probably not... it was offered and suggested many times by the community and NCSOFT refuses to spend the resources in that. Its kind of sad when you go to EB or other game stores and they say "Lineage2?... never herd of it" or "Lineage2? I herd of it but never wanted to try it because it didnt seem that popular" ... great ^_^
Too True. There are still books and magazines with Wow. Along with the packaged CDs all displayed for the shopper. Try to find Anything Lineage Related is impossible, including the time cards.
I found one place and asked about it and they pulled a really beat up box from the back with an old time card in it. Hell, he had to manually key something into the cash register to take it case the item had been removed from there, it had been in the store so long.

Oh well, I wears the shirt and I talk the talk to anyone that will listen, but WOW has a cool factor and so much chatter, it is hard to overcome.

But we will !!!

World Domination I tell ya, With Rust at the head - LOL
