What new MMO would you like to see released ?

While i'm taking my break away form Lineage II for a while (so i can enjoy my comeback ), i'm trying to find some other MMOs, and i thought : what completely new game you people would like to see released ?
I like the games based on an IP a lot (the absolute best of them all was Star Wars Galaxies ) because you have the feeling of entering a universe you already know and love, only this time you can act in it !

So, i'll start with what i'd like to see turned into a MMORPG :

- First and foremost, Warhammer 40K !!! I wanna be a Space Marine !!!

- Vampire The Masquerade / Werewolf The Apocalypse / the Underworld movies (i'll be a Vampire and kick out those beastly Werewolves while feasting on the blood of weak humans)

- Starship Troopers ("come on you apes, you wanna live forever ?")

- Michael Moorcok's Elric / Stormbringer (the best heroic fantasy universe there is)

- Mad Max ("Fallen Earth" anyone ?)

- Terminator (i wanna be a cyborg and stop John Connor from ever being born !!!)

What would you think of those ideas ?
Anyone wanna create a MMO studio with me ? :p
Real-life Quest.
Stargate :), god I love that series.

Star trek (I know one's already coming out, but I'm so hoping they'll really get the exploration and the actually being in the ship well. I wan't the impossible :) To explore an enormnous amount of planets completely and live on an actual ship with dozens if not hundreds other players, oh well 2016 maybe, would be cool in virtual reality too :D)

Good pirate MMO, say pirates of the carribean style, but maybe a bit of fantasy and magic in it. Like Granado Espada, but I can't speak korean, so :(, I definetly do not want to play something even a little bit like an mmo Sid meiers pirates, that's just boring.

Harry Potter online, we're all going to hogwarts, that might be fun :D.
Farscape
Probably Elric's world. Though I have a feeling everybody would want to be a Melnibonean.
Couple of thoughts..........

All my in game friends fled to play WoW till Vanguard comes out next spring. Of course I'll give that a shot with them.

I've always thought the Shannara stuff (brooks) was great but maybe just because it was my first foray into science fantasy in the late 70's.

The game deck game I played a billion times was the Dragon Warrior series...eclipsed the original final fantasy games in many ways. Obviously erdrick's armor would be the best in the game!!!

Terry Goodkind has drawn, imo, one of the most interesting fantasy worlds recently. That's some good stuff and seems in-depth enough to field various races/classes and mobs.

Likewise that kid, Chris Pauliani (?sp) that wrote Eragon put together a varied race/good vs. evil world that has potential (and dragons!).

Probably Elric's world. Though I have a feeling everybody would want to be a Melnibonean.

Nah, i'll be from Pan-Tang and kick the butt of those snobbish Melnibonean :p
yeah im up for a vampire the masqerade mmorg
but after seeing what they done with bloodlines i really wouldnt trust them
The problem with World of Darkness, and V:TM specifically is that it would end up being generic MMO #2134 with vampires instead of elves.

The masquerade itself is what makes Vampire: The Masquerade cool, and if you're playing online with a thousand vampires and no humans who are unaware of vampires... eh... its gonna be a bunch of people running through the streets murdering NPCs. And NPCs not really caring because, well, they're NPCs.

TBH, WoD should probably be kept to a confined RPG status in a setting where you have a game master and a real story. It can be online, just... not an MMO (Redemption was on the right track with it's online mode. I met a lot of cool roleplayers there.)

Unless, perhaps, it were made by a crafty designer who put a lot of focus on NPC AI... even to the point where NPC characters could have experiences that they would remember and would change the way they behave. If you could make a game where a vampire attacks a crowd of people, and several of them escape to tell their story, and it somehow gets back to the Prince that you dun [censored] up, so he sends some vampire goons to take you out...

oh wait yeah, game makers arent interested in expanding the genre like that, they just want to clone WoW and cash in on this "MMO" buzz word they've been hearing about!
I'd like to take several sections and turn it into the following:

Same basic scenario as L2 in that there are good guys (us) and bad (mobs). You can choose to be a human only but male or female and several types to choose e.g spy (James Bond style), cop (any well know film cop), any of the armed forces (style of Sly Stallone, Stephen Segal etc), Ninja etc etc. Skills and armor style, weapons fitting for the class you have chosen.

Mobs would be taken for all kinds of films (several mentioned by the Op) such as Aliens, Predator, Starship Troopers, Characters from Hellraiser (to be raid bosses), etc etc.
Its been a long time coming for SUN - Soul of the Ultimate Nation it would be nice to see it on the market :) :)

I'd really like to see Trials of Ascension released, here at http://www.shadowpool.com .

God, how many generic Heroic Fantasy MMO do we need out there ?
I mean, there's already Lineage II obviously, there's already WoW, EverQuest II, there's gonna be Vanguard, do we really need yet another one of those ?
Come on, arent we looking for something a little bit more original for a change ? A strong-IP Fantasy setting (like Elric -i'm praying it's gonna be turned into a MMO one day-, Warhammer, Conan, LOTR), or something really different (like i said, Starship Troopers, Underworld, Terminator, Warhammer 40K) !
How many more generic elves, dwarves and orcs can we stand ? :p
1. This game with all my suggestions in it....lol
oh yah add a jump button

2. Something like EvE but where you actually have a charecter that can get in and out his ship, and you can go planet side. I cant stand the games where your charecter cant get out of his ship.

110% agree with that.

Btw isn't there a LOTR MMO coming out?
Ofcourse it probably won't rise to our expectations, but let's give it a shot :)

a game focused on pvp and not leveling. multiple towns fighting against each other. by some means being able to level up stats. no "classes" so unbalance is hard to happen especially when u add in stat changes. every character starts out the same, anyone can learn the same magic. armors and weapons have special stats. although most of this exists already in a helbreath private server i play. :P
A first person shooter MMORPG where you dont have to level up and stuff, just mass killing everywhere..

yeah..

awesome...

Yeah but anyways im looking forward to WARHAMMER ONLINE Age of Reckoning.

Maybe Huxely is for you.

Though, if you have no character development of some sort (which Huxely does have) then is it really an MMORPG as opposed to just a shooter?
You could role play squads and leadership teirs...like BATTLEFIELD 2
Battletech. different servers would be based on different years. 3025, 3049 (without clan invasion), 3050 (with clan invasion), etc. and yes RedRok, mechs have jump jets ;)
also, i second "Vampire The Masquerade / Werewolf The Apocalypse" but i think its been done already, very poorly. and terminator is a good idea, but omg with all the time travel things would get confusing. like a "12 monkeys" MMO.
edit: as for pirates, i see no reason why L2 cant have them. if we ever get boats and swimwear, i assume it will be a natural progression.
edit: and io LOVE sithmasters idea, but i cant say anything about it becasue a certain game company might be working on it atm. shhh.

omg i loooove that game. its what im currently playing.

Well, think of it this way. Make every character on a Lineage 2 server go back to 1. Give them first person vision and WASD commands. All weapon shops will supply different types of firearms. And turn the striders into jeeps, and the wyverns into battle cruisers. And hatchlings will have C-4's strapped onto them, and the player will have a remote detenator.
Along with mic chat.
Awesome.

As for roleplay: Well, someone can be a commander, and someone else can be like, an AWP camper or something....
hmmm, Pirates of the Burning Sea (http://www.burningsea.com), 8 months and counting :D it's a different sort of MMO :)
stargateworlds kaos war 2moons dekaron LOTRO
Cyberpunk might make a good MMO.

2142 is kinda fun...different type of gameplay though, it's mostly vehicle based on the demo.

BF:V is also an excellent classic. Something about playing music in the battle makes it all the better.
Vampire could theoretically be done.
The NPC humans would be hunted as food/xp. The lowbie players would start out as newly created Ghouls.
First class change quest could be to carry out missions for your sire until he embraces you and you become a fledgling.
It could be mass PvP between the various clans (which you would choose to belong to at the selection screen) warring against each other.

I can actually see a lot of potential.

One I am also interested in is one that NCsoft are currently working on called Aion.
Be nice to see how that develops
LoL I want "The World" from .****//sign
That universe seemed to be pretty immersive - maybe too much immersive sometimes :)
Huxley looks pretty cool, its an FPS MMO.
I wanna see how Marvel does with their upcoming MMO.
Won't Ever Happen, but I'd love to see an Elder Scrolls MMO.
