I am trying to find out if there is ever going to be a L2 client for Mac's?
This would be great for users such as myself who have both Mac's and PC's in different formats. Now I do understand that the new mac's with the intel arch. can use windows but for those of us that have the old arch this does us no good.
Judas may be right but it would be nice to get a offical response to the question. I do believe it is a legit question to have answered and I am sure that it may gain new users to the game becuase as many of you know there is not a large selection of mmo's that run on macs.

Thanks.
If you purchase an Intel Mac you can run L2 using Boot Camp. I hear it runs well.
Does WoW have a Mac client? I think developing an official Mac client for Lineage II would have some interesting results.
Bingo! Market Lineage II as the alternative to WoW. Think of the message made by the PC/Mac commercials- position Lineage II in a similar way except play up the PvP and community elements of the game, and the style as well.
Are there many MMOGs available for the Mac? Might be an untapped market, NCSoft :D
would be nice to see l2 go mac-friendly; then we might get some of the old hold-outs left in l1 :)
There's very little reason why this couldn't be done (kill GameGuard for starters). There are only positives to including other platforms (Linux and Mac).
P.S. I love rabid OS fanbois. They're so much fun to laugh at.
I have an intel based mac as a laptop and i am more than satisfied with running the game on it. I also think that the new "Pc friendly" mac is the best one yet. Having both systems makes it so nice to start the one you like depending on what kind of work you will be dooing and what security you feel that you need at that moment (for example if a drunken friend wants to go out on the internet i will never ever start the computer in PC mode, no viruses for me no thnx :P ).
*edit* And yes WOW has a mac client, its even the same CD set you use to install it as for the PC version, but WOW is a game where they want all classes to be able to do everything, hence there is no balance and all they want is more money. Example of WOW stupidity: PVE servers with battlegrounds so people can PVP......so lets see now......everyone stands just outside or near the people that can put them into the PVP queues so they can pvp.....instead of beeing out in the world dooing the PVE they where supposed to do....since its a PVE server........yes......sounds great!
We don't have plans at this time to create or support a Mac client for Lineage II.
(Splatter gets to say he told everyone so.)
I have been around here a long enough time to know what mistryl is thinking before she has to say it. :o
And I've been around enough time to have lived through the whole Mac threads.
At a time, the mods were even trying to forbid to talk about a Mac client, till a HGM allow us too.
I still have the tickets in my support account.
Lin1 has a Mac client. The Mac client was even responsible for the major part of L1's success since it was shipped with a free trials on the big PowerMacs.
So we expected one for L2.
But some ... lobbying ... made L2 being developped not in OpenGL, but in DirectX.
That is the reason we get about nice DirectX errors, and that's also the reason why you won't have a Mac nor a Linux L2 client.
I still have once in a while a DirectX error telling it's a know bug and I have to upgrade, while I have the last version available... Go figure.
But in the meantime WoW made a Mac Client. And L3 will be based on the unreal engine, which support both.
And we can only hope the guy who chose DirectX has been fired soon enough ;)
It was funny to see a mac thread again when L2 is nearing its momentum.
As we must aggree that 6 or 8 months from now, the population will only decrease.

Thank you very much for the information!! It is nice to get a answer from the "boss" instead of speculation.
and to everyone else, thanks for the opinions but as I said from the begining that I was talking about Mac's without the new intel arch to where we cannot use the boot camp process to run windows on our Mac's.
I do hope however that however the process works for L3 that the do look at this issue due to the fact that they still have not (at least I have not heard) how they are going to do the license for windows running on the new intel based Mac's.
Forget about older Macs. I have the top dual G4 Mac from spring of 2003. I just got Civ4 for the Mac and it runs like a dead dog. Minimum requirement is an Intel Mac. I should have checked the box before I bought it.
Mac users are use to keeping there computers around for a while. My old Mac does everything I need it too, except play newer games with intensive graphics.
There is no longer a market for this game on the old Power Mac platform. Serious mac gamers will look at the 2 dual core Xeons, in the new top Mac and drool. The old G5s will be handed down to pre-schoolers and great-great-grandparents who don't play L2.
