Hi, I recently finally after a couple of months have gotten my warsmith to level 52. The reason I chose a warsmith was I was told they were a very good way to make some adena and that this game had a very high economy. So I chose to make a dwarf.
I have been trying to understand how they make this adena, I tried setting up a shop in Giran overnight the past couple of nights netting me a total of 50k (4 Nights) D/C/B Grade SS/BSPS are all im crafting right now in my shops.
That is nothing to laugh at but I was wondering if one of the wiser more knowledgeable warsmiths would be able to help me out and tell me maybe, some recipes I should try and obtain to make the most money. Or if I should start crafting some items for adena? The price of mats is the only thing holding me back on this one tho.
If you dont want to give away your trade secrets here you can always pm me them!
You have level 6 craft, which lets you craft the low end B-Grade items (Avadon & Zubei armor, Adamantite jewlery, low B weapons.) The top-B armor (Doom and Blue Wolf) Black Ore jewlery and top-B weapons you can craft when you hit lvl 55. You might make some money now if you put Zubei/Ava in your shop because few crafters have those in their shops on Kain.
But.. The way I would recommend is to put mat crafting in your shop. Folks are crafting A-Grade and S-Grade gear now, and they need a ton of intermediate mat crafting to do it.
Mithril Alloy, Synthetic Cokes, Durable Metal Plate, Varnish of Purity, Steel Mold, Silver Mold, Artisan's Frame, Blacksmith Frame, Maestro Mold, even simple Coarse Bone Powder are all needed for high-end crafting and will make more than your shot-shop.
I have found only 1 reliable way to make adena with my WS. Craft for profit. I no longer run craft shops - I can make significantly more adena crafting items and putting in sell shops.
In order to make adena crafting you have to find items that sell for significantly more adena than their crystal value.
Here is a short list of examples that you are able to craft at 52 (note that a lot more open up when you get to 55 - namely top B helmets, Bloody Orchid, Carnage Bow to name a few). Most of these require a difficult to acquire item (either recipe or parts or both that may require you team up with a friendly BH or you set up buy shops to purchase them in bulk):
PL Boots
PL Gaiters
PL Tunic
Karmian Gloves
Full Plate Helmet
Kris
For B armor I am a big believer in 60% crafting, but you have to accumulate a lot more items (so you can craft in bursts of 4 to 6 items) to make this pay out.
In addition, another great way to make adena is to craft key mats. In order to make money on these you have to watch the market for the base mat prices (key ones being bones, varnish, iron ore, metallic thread - set up buy shop for about 5 to 10% below sell shop rates on these mats and you'll get plenty). The mats you want to craft are the ones that pull very high price compared to the MP required to craft it. Following is a list of the key mats that you can usually make good adena:
Durable Metal Plate
Mithril Alloy
Varnish of Purity
Durable Metal Plate is a pain to craft but here you can take advantage of those suckers that set up private craft shops. I will pay 100 to 150 adena to craft this at a private craft shop since it is so MP inefficient. I'll burn out the MP on 5 craft shops preparing for a night of selling DMP.
Good luck. The way of the dwarf is difficult but if you persevere you can make a lot of adena as a Warsmith.
I have found that a very profitable to make adena is to go shopping.
Look at prices all over Giran every day, twice a day if you have the time.
Memorize or write down prices and keep track of the change.
Buy low, and sell as high as reasonable as you can.
Sometimes i got for a month or two without buying anything, then theres those weeks i make 50-60 mil.
Also, keeping a good track on the sellers keeps you on line to be the first one to run across thoses who "fat finger" the prices when they open there shops. I have bought more than one weapon from sellers who forgot or missed the last "0" in the price of something or hit the "2" instead of a "5")Make 30mil on that one) or the guy who sold me a Damascus for around 4.4 mil :)
Make D and C grade shots and go to Scuttargt (spelling, I know I know) castle town.
But if you want the big loads, get high enough to craft A shots. Then go to rune and goddard, you will make millions!
The A grade market is where it is at.
My friend also makes lots of money by 60% crafting blue wolf stuff. Or any 60% actually! Yes it busts sometimes, but he more than doubles his profits when he sells.
Thanks for all the advice guys im going to bookmark this page and come back to it, it seems from what im seeing level 55+ is where the real money is at I thought it was 52!
Make D and C grade shots and go to Scuttargt (spelling, I know I know) castle town.
Do you really think he'll make more in schuttasjdkagasd town? Dion is always full of empty dss / dbsps shops because of so many academy members, few bother going all the way up to shutgaratsadjklsafsad.
Yes, because no one sells in scuttadjalksjls! And that is where part of the academy quest is. Plus since it is a new area people want to check it out on thier low level alts. I am not saying I am 100% sure, but I know when I was on my alt, I was ****** there was no D shots being sold in that town. lol
But yea, I can only tell you for sure rune and goddard cause my buddy makes 20 mil a night selling in those areas. A shots that is.
one of the ways I've made alot of money was farming SB's in frozen labyrith.
right now I'm selling all of my left over ones for 500k.
useing the mannor is a good way to make mats. find your self a nice afk bot group and farm your seeds off their mobs. make sure you take some haste pots with you.(so you can fallow them more closely, they run fast and you don't)
I've been fairly lucky with o/e...it's a very very hard maket...but when you get that +8 weapon and sell it, it's a very nice return.
Daggers o/e about the best, and bows close second.
buying low sellng high is the best way to get things.
consumibles I think is one of the fastest ways, IE: greatter heal pots...buy them at 1.8k and resell them for 3.2k or 2.8k w/e it takes to make a small profet and turn it into a large one.
SS is not that good for a money return, I blew a BoP, and I still have a ton of B crys left been using them for Bss..but honestly when you tally in 300a per soul ore, times 3020 = about 900k in ore. then you sell for idk 64a (one of the going rates on kain) your not making money from that.
Yea thanks for all the info guys, alot of it has really helped me. Especially the shopping twice a day thing. Ive crafted a few Avadon pieaces for a nice profit as well.
Am not ure lvl but few tips i found to making cash..
1.Sell DSS in Dion, i cant craft it fast nuff to meet demand, made good 40m just from selling dss alone (Downside is less u got recharger VERY time consuming)
2.Work out whats easy to shift at a tidy profit, some items might be high profit but dont shift so good.
3. Work out how easy it is to get mats (BH May help, but spoiling mats isnt allways as good as it cracked up 2 be)
