Basically if your going to be Duo'ing (Grouped togeather with only you 2) then everyone suggests one of you do the dmg while the other one supports you, its the most efficent way to level, I cant say if its much fun for the other person though, most of the Supporting Characters are played as a 2Box (A players 2nd account just to support their main characters)
First off, SK/SE doesn't work at high lvls if you want any kinda of consistant xp. It's not bad, but very slow. Since you are new I like the BD / SE idea. With a BD and SE you can duo catacombs and necros which are 4x xp mobs. The seal stones, blank scrolls, and manor sytem can bring you well over 1 mil in a day playing casually. Get bored and want to add a party member? Add a Bounty Hunter and you are good to go.
How does a WC and a destroyer work ... Seems like it would be decent to me. I've heard Orcs dont get good till later but If im gonna play a healer / buffer Its gonna have to be a orc because the others just look boring to me
Those are the traditional, decent ones. There are some less common ones that are even better. Take Bishop and SH, for instance. The SH kills fast with the bishop's acumen and does constant body-to-mind while the bishop constantly restores the HP of the SH, so you end up with a fast casting howler with (nearly) endless mana.
How long does it take a dead mob to fade out after you kill it, maybe 6 seconds? I saw a screenie of a howler with 9 dead mobs at his feet...nine dead yellow and pink mobs.
The WC+Destroyer would be very good, the WC can do some extra damage compared to a PP but gives lower level buffs (until later levels when they get all the same buffs along with VR). No wind walk though so slow running unless you use potions.
The destroyer has enough hp to take a beating so the fact that the WC doesn't have a single target heal isn't too bad, you will have to be somewhat careful how you pull as you wouldn't have much in the way of emergency options (UD, battle heal and such).
The WC is probably the most fun of the support characters because they have a bit more to do during a fight than just heal: melee, drain, and dot.
