Ok so here goes :
My gf's account expired on 6'th this month, so on the day before that i buy her a new Time Card from the local retailer. Everything goes fine, untill we open the Time Card and try to reactive the account. We got a "Appearantly this time card is already in use" message. I wrote to support.plaync.com immediatly ( on 6.10.2006 ) and it says there ill recieve support within the next buisness day. I was at the retailer's store today and they told me they had similar cards before, and NC resolved the issue ( meaning they cant do nothing, and it's NC's job ). So here we are at the middle of 09.10.2006 with half of the day past ( it's actually 20:55 here but im counting it as US time wich is around 13:00 ) and there is still no answer to the support ticket......
I want ot know how long will it take for the issue to be resolved ( this is a question for any NC representative or w/e ) ? Any official answer pls ....
The team will contact you as soon as possible. You can also contact the Billing Team directly at 1-512-225-6359, Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM CDT to 5:00 PM CDT, if you would like to speak to someone as soon as possible. Thank you!
Speaking about game cards, my 2 local EB games (who have already looked at us like alien beings when we asked for L2 Time Cards) apparently no longer (and apparently don't plan to) carry any NCS time cards. No CoV/CoH, no Auto Assault, nada, zilch, uh-uh.
Lets say the time card was being used already by someone else....
Just how easy is it to take one of those cards and look at the needed time code to rip one off? I'm assuming the code is hidden so this cann't happen?
The way the card works is that it is "glued" face down on a cardboard insert. You peel off the card and on the back is a silver strip that reads "scratch off gently with coin". Much like a Scratch Lottery ticket.
So it would be very difficult to read it without scratching off this strip.
Getting the box open is the other issue as it has clear adhesive tape on either end.
Internal thief is the real issue. As the workers are generally in a EB Gamestop with 1-3 workers max.
The code is only 20-25 characters you can easly Also had this problem with EQ and SWG. I have write it down or enter it in your cell phone quickly.
Another issue is expansion packs. You don't need the cd for many expansions at all just the cd key again it's quickly copied in a instant.
As well as 95% of MMO's. The Gamestop near my house had every single box of Star Wars Galaxies codes taken. As well as some worker that made off with about 5,000 dollars with of keys and codes. Think about it if you took 10 codes from warcraft an sold them back at 50$ a pop. You just made a thousand dollars. You never really took the box or game it's still being sold to a customer.
It then is really bad for the company though. Not only was it stolen, they have to return and help an upset customer. As well as hurt there reputation.
The store should have returned it for you right there and not directed you to NCsoft. I once took a picture on my laptop of a DAOC cd key that was aready in use I brought my laptop in and showed them for kicks.
Some really good managers near my house though.
Another option is to buy a prepaided Visa card and use the internet for paying for your time. Often you can get a discount this way. Inless your employee that can get a discount on time cards which generally isn't aloud but some people do it. :)
Why take the chance with codes you aready did it once with the game.
As we all know the epic lineage2 edition comes out 10/17 alot of places will take the game out of the box now so it doesn't get stolen and put it back in or they will hide them. Your Employee X and you want to try lineage2 but your like it isn't worth X dollars your taking 10-20 games out of the box you aready know you don't need the cd's for an mmo. All though it's probally good to have. So what you think it wont hurt for you to take one code out of 10 or 20. It does hurt though especially if the person reserved the game or drove a great distance to pick it up.
actually its ebgames/gamestop's policy not to remove the computer cames from thier cases and at all of the local shops the cards are kept behind the counter avalaible to only the managers
Well the time card was in normal state, nothing was damaged or opened , and we "scratched the surface gently with a coin" to see the time code. Retailer said if everything was fine with the card it's not their responsibility to replace the card ( since it wasnt damaged or already opened etc. ). With all that being said im still waiting for a response on the ticket...
Whatever the cause is, i still dont have a reply on the ticket and this is getting annoying >.< I aint that rich to waste money on Time Cards, and i payed for something i DONT currently GET ( i.e. the play time )....How long must i wait ( i.e. my gf, but i aint reactivating my account tommorow also if they dont fix hers ) ?
They do have a phone number for billing support, do you want to try that?

Yea ty Splatter. I've already read that, but calling their support from Bulgaria would cost me as much as buying a new time card >.< Anyway they seem to get things moving now :)
