You got the scroll when you started the quest 'out into the world' or which ever race you chose. You talked to the priest in town and the gk there also. Check your quest log, it will tell you the next step in completing it. It is a lvl 3 quest.
If I recall correctly you need to go to one of the traders in the Luxery shop of Giran which is located in the corridor towards teh North Gate.
He will engage the second part of that quest (cause indeed you could only have gotten it through a quest of the starters) and give you a way back to your native ground.
That specific quest is actually intended to give you a Giran scroll to use wisely and when you are ready (as teh NPC keeper also suggest ;) ).
First see if you got mark of traveler in quest inv. if you have that then you have quest, otherwise you have deleated or aborted that quest(or quest item).
The quest is completed -and hence disappears from your quest log- when you are awarded the scroll to port to Giran. However, before giving it to you, the NPC who gave you the scroll should have also given you Mark of the Traveler (check your quest inventory) and told you to talk to a certain Dwarf to get home.
As others have said he is in the Luxury Shop. Talk to him and click on quest. Select "into the city of humans" and then he should give you a series of three errands to run. At the end, he will give you a scroll that will port you back to the Orc Village.

Err.. no, 'into the city of the humans' will take you to Talking Island. To get back to Orc Land, you need the option that speaks of 'the Immortal Plateau.'

Oh. I was going off of what Stratics said and the one that goes from the Orc Village to Giran is listed as "into the city of humans". Forgot they had different names for the return trip.
luckily the dwarf won't let you take the wrong quest anyway. ;)
