Targeting Range?

Player Questions Started Last reply 6 posts
Hi, I recently started playing Lineage 2 and so far I'm enjoying myself. Only a lvl 9 Human Fighter at the moment. I do have a question though about the targeting range and more specificly the /targetnext command. Is there a way to increase the range of these commands?

I have a macro setup so that I can press it to attack anything i target but also if I'm close by and something isn't targeted that I will select it and then target. Yet I have to be right up on a creature for that to work. Is it suppose to be like this?

Does the range you can target depend on the weapon? Or can it be longer in general?

Having the range be a bit longer would help with quicker targeting while fighting.

Thanks.
Yes it would, but unfortunately that's the way it is for now. Personally I have set up as a macro for those "oh sh**" moments when an aggro mob spawns right next to you or that sneaky little dagger keeps trying to use trick to get around me :p.
It always works in the realy close range. No way to change it..
I see, thanks. I guess I'm just used to other mmorpgs where I can target things at a distance in order to properly determine if I can take on a creature or not. Would have to run upon a creature and have it be aggresive or have a long aggro range and it be out my level range. I know I can use the mouse but it really tends to break the flow of the game for me. Guess I have to get used to it.

Thanks again.
You can target a mob and see what colour it is to you manually, from a very safe distance.
If you just click the mob or type /target Gargoyle you can look at it from a pretty decent distance.
