This thread is to post the stupidest things you've seen people do in the game.
I've thought about starting this thread before, but this one event made me decide to go on and do it.
I was setting up a sell shop in Dion to clean out my WH, keeping my eyes on the "WTS/WTB" shouts, when some STUPID noob shouted that he needed help setting up [censored].....
The general response from everyone in Dion?

Apparently he forgot that it's illegal. So I think a bunch of people screened it and tried to report him. Maybe it'll work, maybe not. (I doubt it)
I would say what most people have done. Either accidently or intentionally hitting a raid boss without the support of party(s). Long time ago when I was new to the game I came across my first raid boss, who was blue. Figured it would be an easy battle for me, couple hits later I am respawning in town.
xXXx: "can any1 help me? I have ??'s about how to make money and stuff"
Me (responded in a pm): "I'll try to help you though I'm new, what's your question?"
xXXx (still shouting): "I need to make a lot of adena and get a good weapon."
Me (still pm'ing): "xXXx, what are you using now? what level are you--what class, etc?"
xXXx (still shouting): "how do you make the pink chat?"
Me (pming): "type "me then a space then your message"
xXXx (pming now): "oh! cool. So, can you help me with a weapon?"
Me: "I probably can't help you with a weapon--I'm trying to save for one myself. What are you looking for"
xXXx: "I think a sword of miracles. they are really expensive."
Me: "um, you sure don't need my help! (lol). I'm lvl 26 and don't have my d-gear yet...."
xXXx: "is D higher or lower overall?"
Me: "what level did you say you were? D-grade is second to lowest! It goes No-grade (lowest), then D-grade at lvl 20, C-grade at 40, and up the alphebet...."
xXXx: "i think I need A-grade but it is really expensive. how can I get adena to buy weapon and armor?"
Me: "can't you get money by selling what you're wearing?"
xXXx: "I don't have any weapon or armor"
Me: "NONE? What level did you say you were???"
xXXx: "um, 61".
Me: "good luck with that"
xXXx: "w8. Can you at least tell me how I can get into town?"
Me: "what?"
xXXx: "my name is red or something and I can't get into town"
Me: "go away"
Last I knew he was shouting for handouts in Gludin.
That was one of the silliest things I've seen/heard. Poor soul not only bought an A-grade toon, he bought one naked and red outside of Gludin.

Hmm.. Maybe. But he could have been trying to get newbies to 'come out of town to help me.' Then, of course, he would kill them with his fully-geared red.
Angdil--perhaps. But the conversation led me to believe otherwise.
I've seen attempts to lure folks outside of town--particularly around Gludin.
I believe the person had no idea about weapons and gear, why he was being killed by guards, what it meant to be red, or even levels of toons.
Then again, you never know. Even a naked 61 would cause trouble outside of gludin!
All I know is at the time I was convinced he had a 'new' toon. There certainly weren't others complaining about being pk'd and I was spending a LOT of time in Gludin back in those days--both my knight and artisan were over 20 and running quests there.
While working on my BH quest a couple of weeks ago, I had to go to Dwarven Village. It was full of characters doing their usual deleveling-by-guards, but some of them had their full gear on!! So I waited by one gate, logged in another dwarf I have on a second account and put him by another gate, and reaped the rewards. I ended up with 10 full drops, almost 500 event medals, 1500 bones and a bunch of other mats.
Just two days ago, I had to go back to Dwarven Village, and sure enough...there was another character deleveling with his gear on. There were a few piles of items by a guard for me to enjoy. woot!

I did something similar about 2 weeks ago. I was in DV soloing on my TK, when I noticed this Drake, I went to attack it and started typing something to my brother. When I looked back up at the screen I was dead LOL...killed by the Raid Boss that looks like a Drake.
Ill never get over how stupid it looks when you see a Dark Elf female tanking. lol
Another one is when this "character" tried to convince me to buying his equipment off of e-bay. He said "look, its good weapon k i show you" and he ran up to a RAID BOSS, attacked it, and dropped his brigandine helmet.

Yes.. I too fell victim to this. This was like right after the Raid bosses were put into the game. I was I think with a SO back during the time I was just a knight in half brig/half soemthin else kinda armor. We were on our way to go meet our group when all of a sudden i see this giant monster outside gludin. He was white to me and I was like "hey let's kill it, who knows what raid boss means, but he's white so I should be able to kill it" So i started hitting it and getting healed by the so at the same time. After 2 minutes or so though, I realized that his HP was still full and the SO was just about out of mp.. I was like "umm.. RUUUUNNNNNNNNN". Anyways, Raid boss ended up killing me at the end since tanks are slow >< I dont' remember if the SO made it, don't think they did, I think the raid boss killed them also. Went back to town, went back up and didn't touch the raid bosses after that lol.
