But the fact remains anyone can leave a review. Someone who never played the game before can leave a review as could a spiteful former Lineage II player. Why let their bias reviews stand unchallenged when we could write bias reviews of our own? ^^
though I permateam with the cutest avatar on the forum
Fixed that for you. Mugi rocks! :D
I'm not very good at playing the market either - I have to go the rough way through fishing (night-time lowbie fishing rocks my cleric's manoring skills with the newly deflated mats) and the manor, as well as some ocassional crafting niche.
I don't have the memory for the market, or the patience (outside of, say, SS bulk crafting to take advantage of over-the-top-prices) - I sometimes make a good deal, but it's not my main source of income.
I still think any review that tries to put down the economy is similar to someone going "Oh, but it has open PvP, that sucks." The economy - including its current state - is a welcome facet to many players, and, IMHO, certainly more thrilling than PvP or PvE.
I won't deny the bot thing - I don't think anybody, even NCSoft, is tryign that - but the economy is an asset to the game, not a hindrance.
What I can't figure out. Why mention the fact you have all the Chronicals??? Since you can't actually play the game (on an official server) unless you have updated to the latest chronical, and have all the updates, this is kind of a usless point. The only people that would benefit would be those that play on private servers.
That problem hapened with Arigato here, TWICE, first his first accont, then his second accont.
First accont he tried 6 differnet keys, and the 7th finaly fixed it for him, the last test where at teh store even. THen not only that a month later his accont got suspended due they belived he stole the key.....
At least this resolved itself but was a pain.
I on other hand have never had problems with cd keys or what so ever, then again I usualy don't play much PC games, I prefer consoles, and I got all consoles out on hte market curently as well :P
It's marketing, saying "All expansions included" sounds more appealing to potentional buyer.
The usefullness of such updates is mentioned nowhere of course ;)
Yeah, but I would be ticked if I bought the game assuming I would have a pack of 5 different games. The marketing makes it look alot like when you could buy the Ultima series. Get games 1-8. You actually could play all 8 games.
Someone who doesn't know Lineage 2 and is going to play the game, would really like to know if they're getting all the expansions (all MMORPGs do this) or if they have to buy them. (and it sounds good on paper)
Reading those reviews I've learnt a new word, 'laxism'.
I'm not very biased in favour of L" as I've only been playing for a few days, but other than the obvious complaint, people complain at the lvl cap. Firstly, the number of the lvl cap is irrelevant, if I remember correctly D&D was lvl 20, etc. it's only reletive in the game you are lvl'ing in.
If L2 called it lvl 180 and WoW or whatever came up with lvl360 what would the comparison be?
From what I've read on these forums, many people here have played since beta, and I don't think they have an issue about what lvl they were able to reach. I thought one of the great things about L2 was it didn't end there, you could take your character in new directions, etc.
I hear so many people moan about MMO's, saying stuff like, 'oh, y'know, you grind to lvl X, then it's just PvP from there on!' Yeah!?! duh, go play minesweeper!
I heard about L2 through word of mouth, and don't remember the original promotion. To be honest I don't think it needs it, but whatever the re-release offers to nc, it will sure to be a bonus.
