Guides to leveling a dwarf?

Player Guides Started Last reply 14 posts
I've really enjoyed playing dwarf characters in other mmorgs, just something about the race and the mountain locations they tend to be located in. Anyway, is there any up to date guide for them when it comes to leveling or starting to craft?

This is without having a high level player to twink them or buff them or anything else. Completely new player here.

The ones I keep finding are really outdated, from the Prelude version of the game I believe and nothing current at all other then people saying bring your buffer from another account. Which isn't really helpful at all.

Any advice for getting through the first 20 levels would be great.

Thanks.
Save all your sp for spoil/sweep skills pre 20. You will be able to get both of those by lvl 12. These are, IMO, the only thing you should spend sp on before then. Other than that do the quests. Use your newbie tokens and head to TI for the quests there. Check Here (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/library/quests/index.php?view=lvl) for all the quests available and their rewards.

Welcome to L2.! Let us know which server you chose so players there can help you out better.
Indeed, whether you Warsmith or Bounty Hunter, safe up for spoils untill lvl 20 and spoil every mp you might find.

It will give you some mats and our NPC sell stuff which makes you some adena for gear and such.

A BH spoils stuff and although they can't really solo, when you find a good clan, you will make decent money, despite what people most of the time say.
But keep in mind after 61 your role changes to spoiling key mats.

A WS is always needed by a good clan, but the problem is they only start to be really really wanted at 61 and higher. Before that the best you can do is craft shots, high quality mats Top C gear, and try to sell that to make some money.
Does spoil and sweep increase the chance of key materials as well or just the common materials needed?
SPoil haven othing to do with common craft.
spoil will get you lots of basic mats. coal, varnish, bone, etc. please look at how much is needed to make an a grade weopon. so you have some idea how much you want to keep in your warehouse. mats are expensive due to the lack of dwarfs and people who arent too lazy to farm.

A lot of key mats and recipes are spoil only. (key mat is something like brig helm design.)

At first, find mobs that spoil high money mats. like bone or varnish.

Dwarves do little damage compared to other melees. so eventually you will need to find a clan with people who create their own gear (non-cheaters) Using a pole and playing with someone with VR is the best way to level quickly.

ARE you talking about drops. virtually every mob has 3 items that it will give when spoiled. spoiling is a completely separate event from dropping. whether you spoil or not, has no affect on what a mob drops.

My advice. at first spoil big money things. by the way people buy basic mats for usually half of what they sell for in giran at starter towns.

then find where big money things like enchant weopon scrolls and stuff like that spoil. if you have problem finding a group, shout in town bh lfg to spoil hundreds of animal bone or ewc's or whatever you know you can get at your level. when people play with bh's they love the spoils. if you play ws, find a good clan and learn to use that pole and golem.

other than that. learn some good jokes.
new to english kandlestik? let me just make some quick touch-ups....

so eventually you will need to find a clan with people who create their own gear (non-cheaters) Using a pole correction: you cant create gear using a pole. /end correction... and playing with someone with VR is the best way to level quickly. what he means is you will need to find a clan to help you level if you want to go very high very fast.

My advice: at first spoil big money things FYI: brandish blades and most keymats for NonGrade weapons are junk. sell these to the store, they pay big (comparatively) . by the way; people buy basic mats for usually DOUBLE OR TRIPLE OR IN SOME CASES UP TO TEN TIMES of what they sell for in starter towns NPC shops (never sell to the store).

but this information was not what the original poster wanted at all.

to get to level 20 dearie, all you need to do is find a group of mobs to hunt, and kill them. repeatedly, and often.

do 3 things as you go:

starting in dwarf village, youll get nothing but junk. sell what you dont need straight to the shop. nab the goblin quest, the orc quest, and the wolf quest and go to town on them.

this will nab you around 25k at level 12 and a free weapon or armor.

dont buy the weapon from the shop.

with your 25k, buy a wood set. keep it till level 20. bronze is a waste of money. rinse, repeat your quests, take your butt to every quest giver around, and especially the weapon quest: once done youll get a weapon (duh!) and shots, and 100 healing potions all free. after the new patch, youll be able to get free buffs until level 25, free shots until level 25, and free item upgrades until 25. so what you do is mostly dont get 25+ until the patch comes to the live servers.

remember to pick up the herbs. they love you. and you should love them in return. after about level 16, head northeast to the northern section of the mithril mines, hunt the spiders and bears. doin this with buffs and shots is really easy. fast exp too.

keep sluddin away till about level 18-19. then head for gludin. make sure you upgrade your weapon as many times as possible using the free exchange service (which is available to you in the new patch -release date as yet unconfirmed. so dont ask) and find yourself some good friends.

in gludin area, hunt out of the south gate, the bears and the lizardmen and the orcs, and the spiders again.

if you want something new to try, the area AROUND ruins of despair is pretty infested with skeletons and bats and imps. inside the ruins is pretty hard for someone with no jewellery or party so be extra careful.

around 20-21-22 head into the ruins i mentioned. the zombie warriors drop DSS recipes. they sell handsomely around 50k.
My English is just fine. I write in train of thought too much I think. I suppose if I wanted to answer his question on suggestions to level 20, I could have answered.

Fight Mobs. should take 2-3 weeks. Don't run all over the place. Fight mobs close and don't stop.

Dwarfs do such little damage, that at higher levels without buffs, you might be able to fight one mob before having to rest.

And thanks for the help spudnik, now go start another alt and quit when you hit B grade.

And thanks for the help spudnik, now go start another alt and quit when you hit B grade.

i always do!

my advice to original poster: do the same. dont go past 52. every level afterwards gets progressively more gankfest.

im a pve guy. i dont pvp. ever. youll go red before i fight back.
In reality, how would you know what it is like? I feel safer now than I ever have. I bet I could set up a store in FP, go to work, and come back home, and I would be sitting there when I got back. unless I was close to a room, and people thought i was leeching from a bot group.

The higher your level, the more fun you have, and you make more money too. I am reminded of this every time I level a two-box.

I am pve also. OK, every few months it seems, someone makes me go EvP on em. but, I feel almost everyone I run across to be helpful and nice.

I love playing dwarfs, but it is difficult, unless you use all your dwarfiness. money money money. oh yeah spoils and stuns too.

Give a dwarf a varnish, he makes a steel today. Show him how to spoil a EWA, and he has VoP for life.
everyone i ever knew that levelled over A grade threshold found it too hard to maintain a consistent leveling speed cause very few minuted theyd get one of a number of possibilities happen: theyd get ganked by high levels, pkd out of the area, accused of botting, trained for their gear, or the bots would take over.

you dont see this AS MUCH when youre under 52.

as to fun, the very idea that youd suggest you have more fun at 7x than 5x makes me sick. this is a figment of your imagination.
Love the last line:Give a drawf a varnish, he makes a steel today.Show him how to spoil a EWA, and he has Vop for life.
I like drawfs so much too, me and my golem make a good duo. I also enjoy the BH, spoil spoil spoil away.

you dont see this AS MUCH when youre under 52.

horseknickers!!! there are not as many bots in high level places. and again, how would you know? also, in most places you can just ask the bots to leave, and they will most of the time. because 70ish level people will kill bots if you need the area bad enough, and the bots know it. and what can they do. bring in a 70 something enforcer. HAHAHAHA.

At higher levels, people are much more polite. fights get much nastier. the gear you can lose is much more expensive. the threshold where people battle is much higher, and the fights last much longer.

I have a feeling your friends would get ganked no matter what level they play at. Its not the level. Certain people are always in fights.

there are not as many bots in high level places. and again, how would you know?
